30 Cozy Japanese place for a Sunday night. Prompt service a good selection of meats!
Must try
Inside was full of bbq smell and smoke, but atmosphere was great. Beef has great marble and tiger prawn was also fresh.
We drove for 30 minutes here to have dinner and they literally sat us at the door. Staff were not helpful. Very disappointed, won't be coming back
I reckon the wagyu beef here is exceptional. Just tasted better than most of the other Japanese bbq. A+
If you can’t tell I’m a foodie and I love food from
around the world Nobi Yakiniku was comfortable and cosy Japanese style, you can see the quality and the effort/care put into the preparation, the food is so fresh it needs to be cooked at your table, which takes seconds, we do not only like to eat but we also like to cook, cooking at your table gives you an interactive night to really appreciate what you’re eating and the culture! Thank you Nobi ️

It was ok. Came here for our birthdays and got the deluxe set shared between 4 people and a few drinks on the side. We enjoyed lychee cider because it was really sweet and low alcohol. The cuts are really nice however felt like the experience could be out of this world if they used coal rather then plates. Overall, for what we paid per person it was ok.
Definitely worth trying for high quality meat.
Went here with friends and the meats selected are easy to cook and low stress. Simply put on the pan for a few seconds each side and enjoy.
Superlative wagyu table bbq. Highly recommended. Go for the set meals. Reasonable wine prices too.
I have been to a few of these places in Japan and Melbourne. The cuts of meat were excellent, excellent quality meat and very happy with the taste. Hidden away off the main roads but definitely worth visiting. They even prepared a cute little desert for mums birthday. Thank you to the restaurant staff who were very nice and helpful. Just wish the cooking was over charcoal!
A very lovely place to have a night out with friends. The texture of meat is really nice and the staff are always friendly, will definitely go back!
I come here often, never disappointed with food and service. One tip: wear something not too transpiring, or it will smell of BBQ for days
Found a piece of paper in my sashimi plate, got told the paper is clean, and it’s for protecting the ice slip out from the plate. And got a big crack on my drinking glass, and didn’t hear a apologize at all. Not thinking to come back again.
Very few front staff but despite that service was good. Food was nice. Sauces was mediocre, best was the salt. Okonomiyaki was pre-made frozen food. Overall 3.75/5
Fantastic place, atmosphere and staff.
Had my birthday with my girlfriend here and we will be back.
Thanks for lovely food and time.
Seems like a popular little Japanese joint in the nightclub district of South Yarra. It was hard to find a simple wholesome dish on the menu. If you don't mind the expensive table top bar-b-q options eg $150+ for 2, then this might be the place to go. As I said, it's fairly popular with the locals. I guess we were just out of our league here.
The best Japanese BBQ we've ever had! The A5 and M9 wagyu cuts were the best, melted in your mouth and the oysters are amazing and well priced. The place has a real cosy, chill vibe too, staff are lovely
The beef was nice but the sashimi wasnt fresh. 120$ for 2. Legit wagyu beef, friendly staff but didnt focus much
Fantastic night here. Kids loved the experience and the food. Will return on next trip to Melbourne. Meat to die for!
OMG. One of my favorite places. The ramen is really good. Small menu but everything done really well. Dinner is just amazing. The staff are also very lovely.
