This place goes into my top 5 hidden gems in Melbourne. Nice place super friendly staff and the Italian owner treats you like family friend! And the Focaccia and Italian Sandwiches are just great!

The best Focaccia I have ever had, I ordered the Authentica and had it with burrata, do not make any changes to these the chef is a genius and knows what he is doing. Thank you NO22 cafe for a flavor journey I will never forget

Must visit cafe when you are in Melbourne. We had the Vegano sandwich - it was one of the best we've had, and coffee is amazing as well. Gaetano, the owner, is very friendly and positive, and ensures to have the best quality of bread and ingredients for the food & beverages. Great stuff.

Passionate staff for focaccias from the Puglia region of Italy.

The staff are extremely friendly and are clearly passionate about sharing their love for the focaccias from Puglia. It’s a family run cafe and the autentica is their signature focaccia.

Expect to spend ~$20 for a meal here.

When I entered the cafe, I was immediately welcomed by the super friendly store owner. You could immediately tell how much effort he put in! I had a coffee and a focaccia. It does not get more authentic than that since the owner himself is Italian. The coffee was great and the food was bombastic. The atmosphere was very calm and serene. The owner told me a bit about the history of the café.
Anyone who wants to try Italian desserts and savory dishes should come here! I definitely will!

An all-round great little corner cafe!

Four of us were walking through the city looking for a late lunch last Saturday and stumbled onto this little gem. Regardless of the time, the owners were very friendly and welcoming! It had a very authentic Italian feel with good-value, delicious food! And you could tell they put love and care into what they did.

Will definitely remember this for a future lunch spot next time we’re in the city.

The owner of this cafe is an absolute delight. His passion for food, and in particular focaccia, is plain to see. We came here for a quick city lunch and will be back without a doubt. When I die, I want to be buried in his focaccia!

Amazing food, coffee and owner. We had a great breakfast there and the owner welcomed us with an open heart and told us a lot about the cafe's background. I can really recommend the Foccatia with buffalo mozzarella.

Great story - young couple from Southern Italy making delicious and very reasonably priced Focaccia sandwiches. Very nice to meet people who have such commitment and pride in the food they make. Recommend without reservation!

I LOVE coffee. It’s life. Since returning to the city I’ve been looking for a place with fantastic coffee, but even better service. The combo seems rare nowadays. So here we are at No22, I’ve finally found it! I had a long macchiato today using the Campos Roma blend (great!). But I tell you what, the food looked amazing - home made focaccias and I heard something about a cotoletta that I MUST return to try. Most importantly, the environment was perfect for a casual unwind from work, and the service was perfect. Gaetano at the front is a star, super friendly and clearly proud of what he’s doing. Anyway, I’ll be dropping by a lot. Grazie mille, Gaetano! Alla prossima volta

Famous for their bread. They make their own bread and it is delicious. Soft and fluffy. The owner is also working in the cafe so he is able to explain all the dish and how they were made. Great cafe.

The moment I stepped foot in the door I was greeted warmly and felt very welcomed at this lovely cafe. The atmosphere is very casual and not at all pretentious. My coffee was very good. I loved that the host was so attentive and happy to make recommendations on which flavour combinations work well. The focaccia is SUPERB! From that first mouthful I was in heaven! Crispy, golden edges and fluffy inside. This is the real deal, - bread as it should be made! The filling was delicious- the chicken schnitzel was moist and tender, the lettuce was well dressed and the tomato was seasoned to perfection. I ordered an organic fruit drink which complimented the food wonderfully.
This place is a gem. Melbourne is know to be a foodie’s paradise- and this is just what this place is all about - amazing food and outstanding service. I love that they educate their patrons about the flours they use, as that’s what great bread is about, it’s all in the good quality flour that also happens to be much healthier for us than the conventional flour used everywhere else.

The owner is Italian, and he was so kind that I felt good.
A few days ago, my friends and I were looking for a place to have lunch before the tour, and it was a good choice.
He just told me the type of flour and explained the focaccia. I couldn't fully understand because my English was poor, but he explained it very kindly.
I ordered pasta too, but it took some time, so I ate only focaccia in a hurry, packed the pasta, left it at the accommodation, and went to the tour bus.
The next day, I reheated it in the microwave and it had eggplant in it and it was delicious. But there was nothing special about it!
Anyway, it was delicious.
Focaccia is quite salty for the taste of Koreans. But it's delicious~
I also ordered a menu called "I don't know" and it was fun and delicious haha
Thanks to the kind and pleasant Italian owner, I made another good memory in Melbourne.
If you live in Melbourne, the restaurant you want to go to often!
I want to go there again the next time I travel to Australia.

Incredible fresh and authentic food, I’ve never had a focaccia hot from the oven before and the ingredients were delicious. It’s refreshing to have owners that are so passionate about the product they produce. 10/10!
