Our kiddo has been coming here since she was about 10 months old (now 4) and we couldn't be happier. She absolutely LOVES the place and has always been happy at drop-off. The delicious (and healthy) menu, the amazing rooms, the awesome play areas, the INCREDIBLE staff. This centre is 10/10. Our girl has always felt supported and safe, which has enabled her to grow and learn and become such a confident 4yo. Thank you to the Nino Bundoora staff - we are going to miss this place when our girl goes to school!

A special shout out to Jade, Lisa and Nola out the front. They are so helpful and always so welcoming - and thanks for the yummy cup of coffee this morning!

Horrid experience, would never recommend it to my near and dear ones, thank goodness there are plenty of excellent ones operating around the area than this centre 0/5 in every sphere

My daughter has been going to Nino learning centre for about 3 months, she has excelled so much during this time, learning words, dancing and having fun with all the new friends she’s made. The staff are lovely they always greet us when we walk through the door and my daughter is always excited to wave hello! Whenever I’ve had a problem not understanding the payments etc (as this is my first child) they took the time to explain everything to me and any little issue I’ve had their right onto top of it. It truely is a wonderful daycare with lovely educators.

I’ve suggested this daycare to all my family and friends. I would also like to add its great to see a daycare that has been trained in type 1 diabetes, it has been so hard for my 3 year old nephew to find a daycare as most daycares aren’t trained in that field, hopefully we will be welcoming my little nephew and niece next week

Please stop smoking on our property. I wouldn’t mind so much if your staff cleaned up after themselves, but they don’t. They leave their cigarette butts and packs on the ground.

This is asides the obvious health effects smoking has. Did you know toxins from smoking stay in the breath up to 13 hours after having a cigarette? Introducing a health policy would likely benefit your staff and children and parents whom are paying you.

I didn’t upload but I have quite a few. Hope you will address this with your staff!

Staff are awesome, usually u hear horror stories about childcare centres but from my experience here it’s far from it
An app called Xplor is used to keep up to date with kids sleep feeding and nappy changes
Very clean environment
Car park is pretty closed off so it’s not actually near the main road which is good

I definitely recommend

***PLEASE READ

The place itself facility is amazing! However o have to be honest and I don’t like giving bad reviews but parents need to know what’s going on.

On my tour the lady was fantastic and made an effort to interact with my child.

We walked through a classroom to make our way out to play area and there was a child crying and I don’t think the educator was aware we were walking in (her back was turned) and responded to the crying child your crying to much, your crying to much (repeated this 3-4 times).

As we made our way towards the mixed play area where all the kinda kids play I heard a child say “shut up” to one of the educators and she responded by saying “right back at you, right back at you and said his name”! She had no idea we were there.
The child started banging on the classroom window and she said “do you know what’s going to happen when you bang on that window. The glass is going to break and go in your neck! And blood is going to go everywhere! ”

This is not okay! I’m literally not even exaggerating this is word for word!
I understand kids can test your patience and be rude but we are the role models at the end of the day.

She eventually realised we were there and sort of hid then went inside. She smiled at me but I was just in shock! The tour girl didn’t say anything and tried to continue.

This review is more for the centre. It’s not okay.
She might be an amazing educator and Maybe I caught her on an off day but regardless that is so aggressive and unacceptable.

My 3 year old son started here in February 2022 after we moved from London to Melbourne. The centre and facilities are great and the staff are friendly, caring and helpful. My son took a little while to adjust, as expected, but he is now happy and settled. My son wears a hearing aid and the staff have been very understanding and considerate of his needs. In response to the reviewer below, yes, pick up time is often a very hectic time for staff and I completely understand they cannot recount all the details of all 30 odd children in their care and tend to give a short summary. However, the staff in our room have always been happy to chat to me in the morning at drop off when it's a little calmer and have also accommodated meetings to discuss my son's progress when requested. All in all, we are very happy.

Enrolled our daughter here after recently moving to the area. After 5 weeks we chose to move her to another centre. I’m sure the centre is fine for many families, but wasn’t the right ‘fit’ for us.
The centre itself is fairly new and big, but we found the high volume of agency staff, disinterest in the children and lack of communication problematic.
Eg: we would collect our daughter, and no one could tell us how her day was. They could read from the book about what she ate, but could not provide any other info.
80% of the time she was picked up with a soiled nappy. One time we found her outside in the late afternoon on a 30 degree day without access to her drink bottle (which was inside since lunchtime). Apparently no one could be bothered working out which child had the last name written on the bottle.

All childcare centres have been dealing with staff shortages during this pandemic, however other centres opt to either reduce hours, reduce children, or employ a pool of regular casuals that they can call on when other staff are away. I would suggest this may be something for Nino to consider.

During the short period that my son enrolled in the nursery room (Discoverer room) at Nino Bundoora, a significant change of staff and educators affected the quality of care.
No sympathetic manner or effort by the room's educators to bond with babies even during the orientation and first days of care. It is such strange that it is acceptable to see a baby moving around the room and cry unattended as it is her/his first day.
The centre seems fine in terms of environment, facilities and probably nutritious menu and may perform better for older kids but not proper care for nursery room babies to get love, attention and care that those little angel needs in those early stages.

They have been very patient and accommodating. I like how they divide their age groups and how the teachers are always there to keep and eye and actually teach the children hands-on.
Story times, and encouraging kids to clean up after themselves, and not to mention teaching them to go wash hands before eating and after eating. They actually guide your kid, instead of just keeping an eye out and I think that's very valuable.

The staff here have made my family feel welcome. We had to change centres and the transition was so smooth and my daughter has been so happy here ever since. The food is healthy and nutritious and the activities throughout the week are an added bonus. Thanks to all the staff at Nino Bundoora!

My eldest has attended a few childcare centres and she loves this the most. Educators are friendly and caring. Playground is pretty big, enough space for all kids. However toddlers playground are not enclosed from older kids playground. Educators/ Carers have to keep extra attention to the active toddlers. Menu is healthy and should be tasting good as my kids have no issue having their meals.

* the spanish class offered in Kinder room is great too. Came from non spanish background, my daughter recognize more spanish words than her chinese words that she learned from another school.

By far the BEST childcare centre we have had our son in. This is his 3rd daycare centre he has been in and he is thriving so much from being there.
They provide fantastic nutritional meals, great daily activities and the carers are just fantastic.
I could not be more happy and confortable leaving my son there, because I know he gets the best care, love and attention he needs. Thank you Niño
