I have had the same hairdresser for the past 3 years but happily for her she went on maternity leave to have her now baby girl. So, it was time to find a new hairdresser. Living in the Altona area there are a few to select from but finding the right hairdresser for you is major decision & took me over a 2 year period! I went through a few in a few areas but no one that fit me until I tried, Nimmi Hair & Beauty Studio…

I drive past the studio at least 2-4,5,6 times a day & thought I should. Yes, Should I & did never, until one day I did. I was talking to my sister & she said, make the appointment. So, I was a little sceptic at first, (I know, what a a**) but once I got past my own insecurities (in my own mind), my own awkward silence after walking in the door & produced the most uncivilised crack in my mouth, SMILE dang it! I was shown to a seat, when a lovely lady stood beside me, introduced herself as, Nimmi we talked (not at me) about the look I would like to achieve, (I thew in some curveballs cause I wanted to see if she would be honest& be like, no that is no going to work, honey! Or just say sure for the pay day. But, she was super nice about it, was honest & let me know why that "curveball" I had suggested would not work) I was so happy. After that we talked the colour, treatments, what "I" would like my hair to look like daily. She is the breath of fresh air I was looking for, she is a rear delight.

Toward the end of the another customers visit she came over to me & said, I had a very similar situation to you & just like you, I felt the same but I have never looked back, I live locally & every experience here for me has been just what I was looking for. She said, that was over a year ago & has never looked back. From that, I felt she was genuine in her words.

As my first visit drew to an end, I had really enjoyed my experience. I felt I can put my trust into her hands & she will take care of me.
I will also add, her husband is also in a hairdresser in the salon & is quite the character, he is very accommodating to make you feel welcome & kind, gentle in his actions & nicely spoken. Also, they can provide a few others services to clean up those brows & other arears which is need of a sensitive touch.

Such a great find will continue to have my haircut at Nimmi Hair & Beauty Studio as long as Nimmi is still a studio. Thank-you for the service you provide.

Was nice and clean, had a very pleasant hair wash and a quick but a good cut, using clippers to start and finishing with the scissors. They were quick and well priced. I'll be going back.

They were the loveliest people I’ve met in such a long time. I came in with a little bit of a hair emergency and they were so helpful and so kind and they made me feel so welcome. Unfortunately I don’t live locally so I probably won’t get back there but I highly highly recommend their services. They’re the kind of business that should be supported. Lovely, caring and very very good people. I am very grateful.

I've been coming here for years and absolutely love the service. All the staff are super friendly and very good at what they do. I travel far just to get my hair done here. I will continue to come here until I'm very old with no more hair!

My mother has being going here for quite a few years and has become good friends with the two owners. They are a hard working couple who are Hella good at their job. Took my grandmother in for a hair cut today and well, grandma looks like a million bucks now. Trust me. Go here.

I have been looking for a salon stylist for over a year. I have now found my go to hair salon. Very friendly service and reasonable prices. Nimmi and her colleagues give you the best service and honest professional advice regarding your needs and wants for your hair. Very clean salon and the jokes and convos are welcoming.
Went in for a wash blow dry and irons with a haircut and it cost $50. I walked out feeling fantastic with my result. Honestly you should go to this salon.
Highly recommend Nimmi Hair and Beauty Studio. They do lashes as well.
Make an appointment as it can get busy.
Parking out front of salon and around the corner. Plenty of street parking. Eftpos and cash. Ooh and they also give you coffee/tea too.
