Niddrie Pho

The broth here is so good, they also make their own chilli oil which was sublime. The restaurant could use a really good clean tho and the table don't seem to be wiped or restocked very often. Service is great and the staff are always very friendly.

Came tonight for a bite to eat after work with the kids. Had been driving past and excited to try considering there are not many Vietnamese cuisine restaurants in Niddrie/North West area, and though a new additional to Keilor Rd!

Starters - Spring rolls were nice and crispy, however small ($12 for 4 spring rolls, the size of a pinkie finger). Fillings were the bare minimum.
Rice paper rolls large but it is chocked with lettuce and noodles to bulk it up (1 piece of pork and 1 prawn cut in 2 is not sufficient protein).

Had fried rice and crispy noodles for the kids, with a prawn omelette.
Prawn omelette the most disappointing, no special XO/hoisin or oyster sauce.
Crispy noodles combination, has 1 prawn, bok choy and chewy overcooked pork. Sauce was salty and lacked depth of flavour.

We asked for extra sharing plates for our 4 kids, got provided 1. Strange.
Servings are small, the fried rice is barely enough for 2 large adults.

Final straw was when I asked to return to have some sauce added to the parn omlette, I was refused, what's worse was the waitress took the food to the back, only to return it to let us know the chef said we can 'add our own' using the bottles on the table. As she explained this, she held our food under her chin as she spoke. Completely lacking any hygiene or sense of customer service.

All up $100 for 2.5 adults, we left hungry and disappointed. Won't be returning unfortunately. So much potential with location but overpriced and underwhelming food and service.
Didn't bother ordering drinks, and weren't asked either, but $8 for coconut juice when it's $12 for 4 at the local grocery store. That's over a 100% mark up. Pass thanks.

I provided the feedback when making payment, as it needed to be said, got giving a 10% discount but then charged 1.5% surcharge on the FULL BILL.
Cost of living this money would've been better spent on home cooked meals for 5 days.

Perhaps might be an idea to not speak Vietnamese to one another about my feedback, when I can understand every word said.

Green Bamboo down the road is a more pleasant experience, waitresses are at least friendly and food with flavour.

Give it a miss, plenty of other places you can enjoy.

I am not one to write negative reviews, but when management shows a lack of customer service or acknowledgement of their errors, something needs to be said.

Working in restaurants for over 15 years managements response justifying prices is poor and undermines the customers experience, and brushes off their opinions without taking responsibility for the poor service or food that was served.

It’s not always easy to get a Great Seafood Laksa, but these guys nailed it. Quiet, very reasonable prices, delicious!

Food was excellent, service and atmosphere is top notch.

I ordered Lemon Chicken very hot even though I requested mild and could not eat it. Charged me 50c for a takeaway container. Very disappointed. Not going back

Great appetisers and amazing wonton soup. Price is above average, but the food quality far out weighs the cheaper restuarants.
Everything is modern, clean and delicious.
Definitely a must try.

This was our first visit to Niddrie Pho. We ordered prawn spring rolls and chicken pho. Everything was so tasty and delicious. The service was really quick too. A perfect dish for a winter’s night. Will definitely be back!

Excellent Vietnamese restaurant in Niddrie, with nice appetisers and noodle soups. Reasonably priced and delicious food. Definitely recommended!

Had Beef Pho for lunch. Broth, noodles and beef was excellent. Includes good serve of bean sprouts and mint leaves. However at $17 it is expensive for a meal that is commonly around $12-$15 elsewhere. Viet iced coffee is $8. Avocado smoothie is $8. Very expensive lunch for 2 @ $50. But don't for this is in Niddrie.

I used to eat pho here and it tastes the same like in Vietnam (picture when I ate half), good food & staff.

The food here was good, the staff is very friendly. We were impressed with the crispy calamari here, they are really good, will be back again.

First time having dinner here and I must say we were very impressed with the food and friendly service. Definitely will return again.

Been to Vietnam many times and this place is as good as the pho I had in Vietnam.

Sadly our first experience was not a good one - we actually had to leave as the food just didn't come. We arrived at around 6.30; they took our order quite quickly but by 7.15 we still didn't even have our drinks. The table next to us (they arrived half an hour after us) got their entree but nothing arrived for us. Waited another ten mins or so having asked where our food was and still nothing so we headed down the road to the Malaysian where we were served delicious food promptly. We live very close by and when this was the Niddrie Noodle House we were there at least once a week - so Pho have lost a family group who could've been great and regular customers. Oh and the place was freezing cold; everyone in the restaurant had big jackets on and the waitress could not understand us when we asked for the heating to be turned up (though not sure it was on at all). So disappointing as the previous owners ran this place like clockwork!

Tables are sticky I think the spray there using isn't very good because they spray after every customer leaves. The pho bo is expensive you can pick up to 3 meats for 20 dollars

Food was delicious. Lovely staff. Great service. We had the satay and the egg noodle soup with poached chicken. Delicious and tasty.

I decided to try this place because of good review and now i regret it, i bought 2 pho soup, spring roll, wonton n fried chicken with rice, first the pho was cold i had to reheat it, there wasnt much meat but instead too much noodle the soup base had a funky taste to it, second the wontons was pink in the middle and dont get me started with spring rolls were flat like a pancake i had never ever had spring roll like that. N to make things worse the free prawn crackers they give you was only 6 pieces of crackers, most asian restaurant they give you a big bag of prawn crackers but this one gave us a tiny bag, after spending 82 im so disappointed. Will not come back here ever again, obviously the other reviews here are fake or they get they family n friends to write a review.
