I have taken shoes with tricky mending repairs and shoulder bags with fraying straps. Biba will honestly tell you what’s possible and the work which goes into her repairs. Really good work. Now my shoes are wearable again and the leather straps (replacing vinyl) on my handbags make them look like new again. Biba is a craftsperson!

I normally go to the bag repair man in dimmeys at central west who is amazing, but on this occasion, thought I would support a local business. Boy was that a massive MISTAKE! I had a small leather bag with a magnetic clasp closure that needed repairing as the metal clasp was starting to bend internally and I could feel it was about to snap. I spoke with the lady at this shop and told her the clasp needed to be replaced and she said she “thinks” she has a new clasp to replace the old one laying around, so I left the bag with her for repair. When I came to pick up the bag, I could see she had unstitched the bag to apparently “replace” the clasp as we had discussed, then stitch it back up but it was a very messy job. After using the bag on holidays, the clasp was still weak and it broke after a day of use. I went back to the shop to show her the issue, and she immediately jumped into defense mode stating I had never come into the shop before nor had she ever fixed my bag (she was right about not fixing my bag!). I explained to her calmly that she was meant to have fixed the clasp and pointed out the bad stitch up job, and miraculously, her recollection of the repair had come back to her! She told me that she never replaced the clasp and simply reinforced it, so for this reason, if she was to repair it, it had to be at my cost seeing as it was not due to her faulty clasp. My argument was that I never asked for her to "reinforce" the clasp, but to REPLACE it as we had discussed, but she would not have a bar of it and proceeded to walk to the back room and yell at me from behind the curtain like a child rather than speak face to face. I told her I would take this to the ombudsman and she told me to “prove it” and that her shop was the number 1 in Melbourne (she is delusional and I have no idea how she came to this conclusion). This woman is a bully and has zero morals and values. I cannot possibly recommend such an atrocious business to anyone so do yourself a favour and steer clear at all costs! There are far better repair shops in the West and much cheaper and better quality than this lady offers!

Only accepts cash and will only begin the job if you pay 50% cash upfront. Who carries cash these days? No one! Doesn’t matter if you’re opposite 7/11, your business should accept Eftpos. Get with the times.

Good repair job. I bought a belt that looked like it was hand made for $25.

UPDATE - I liked the first belt so much I bought another belt which is even better (was more expensive)

Great to find someone efficient to look after shoe repairs in the local area… nice work on repairing stitching on my shoes… look forward to using this establishment again when necessary

Have utilised Bebe and her skills on and off for for many years and revisiting today to repair a hole in a favourite leather bag. Love the scent of the shop. Always puts a smile on my face. Stepping in, although at times you are busy, your shop causes me moments of just slowing down. Thank you for our community village wonderful shop Bebe.

Absolutely the best shoe repair place I have ever been too.
An incredibly lovely ad honest woman. She repaired shoes that I was convinced were unrepairable. Extremely reasonable pricing (if not, too low!). 100% recommend!
