The newport RSL is definitely a place that does not seek to be just another "chrome and glass" establishment with pokie machines and atomised, isolated, patrons.this place is the opposite.

It is packed full of history from the moment you walk through the doors.

There is a cabinet full of artefacts from the first and second world wars on your left, then you turn the corner and you are in an intimate room with confortable seating and plenty of drinks. (alcoholic and non-alcoholic)

The establishment as evidenced by my photos is undergoing refurbishment.

I have been told that it will not affect the old-timey feel that makes this place so special.

Great little RSL nice people and a classic old school bar, the committee are refurbishing at the moment but no wild changes are on the cards so it'll retain it's old school feel.

It has a real friendly atmosphere, you were felt welcomed.
Good selection of Alcohol.
Fire pit in the back.loved it.

What a little gem. Old school RSL. No annoying pokies. Friendly people running it. Pretty small but perfect for our group of friends. I know where our Anzac day meet ups will be after the dawn service at Williamstown.the newport RSL.

I just love going to Newport's RSL on a Sunday afternoon for some great music, just love to see a lot of my musicians friends come and join me. The staff are very friendly. I'm sure they will make you feel at home cheers.

Closed during COVID-19 directive to clubs and pubs. Much work has been undertaken to maintain and improve the amenity for members, their families and guests.

Great place to have a party staff were great and very frendly food was also very good and plenty of it
