Newmason Eat Drink Relax

We have eaten here many times and always been happy with the food and service.
Very spacious inside with a nice relaxing atmosphere making it a perfect place for a get together with friends or date night.

I had fish, chips and salad along with 2 in our group. The fish was so overcooked and dry. Awful

Tried to reserve a table online which showed none was available but when I phoned the restaurant I was able to reserve a table. It looked like something was wrong in the online system as i could see not many people were in when we arrived.

Excellent service, the waitress who served us was super helpful and nice. She was also quick-she was the only waitress at the time in the restaurant it seemed.

Seriously this place i have been there 3 times and every single time regretting it, we were there last week and we ordered the food, what kind of people like their food, below average food and food has no taste looks like no seasoning have been used preparing that food. Every time we go there and got disappointed and promised to never go back again, there chef needs to read these messages. Worst food ever in warragul i would like to give them 0 ️ star if i could.

I had Dinner at Newmason last night and the staff are lovely and food is well presented and tasted great also. The venue was clean and well presented. I was very happy with my experience and it just added to a great night out.

Come here semi regularly, didn't know brunch menu was served so that was a nice surprise.always enjoy dinner options and staff are friendly.

Not suitable for Ceoliacs. Asked if chips gluten free. Told yes. Asked if cooked in separate frier. Told no. Wanted Chicken parmie as menu gfa. Asked about crumbs and they didn't have gluten free crumbs. It was explained to me that thigh chicken seared and layered with ham and tomato paste (this is not a parmi). Had the risotto instead. Ate it but really was looking for the parmi. The normal food that others at table ate looked nice if you can eat a normal diet.

I've never been & was excited to go, my daughter invited just me & her, date night so to speak
I had chicken fromage with goats cheese stuffing, she had the $33 fish, scallop, prawn cutlet, like fish basket
My chicken was so dry & omg the prawn cutlets were as small as you get in fried rice, we were starving & ate it as we were on a time schedule to go to the art centre
At end of the day I will never go back & was very disappointed, daughter has never been there for dinner but has been for breakfast & she won't be going for dinner again but will for breakfast

I've read some of the negative reviews here. I will say, we have eaten at some pretty atrocious eateries here in Warragul. Almost gave up. Decided to eat here and can't wait to go back next week. The staff were lovely and friendly. The Rissotto was piping hot and delicious. The people around us were saying their meals were good. I am a Customer Service Manager myself and do expect a lot. We left full and very pleased. Couldn't fit desert in unfortunately maybe next week! Please, please, please keep up the good work. I would love to think that after 5 years of living here in Warragul, we now have our regular dine in eatery.

Our table of 8 was booked at short notice after Snowfest, very accommodating, made us feel welcome.
Food came out quite quickly, which was great for the kid's.
We have dined in before this, but it was great we all got good tasty food without a huge wait.

Have been many times, and never disappointed. Lovely younger lass was adorable to my son, when he was hoosing what to drink and asked if they had a hot chocolate!
Meals generally $25 each, a pay at the counter and then sit down type ordering - lovely staff, always clean, good lighting

Went out for tea before going to a show with 4 other family and friends so all in toll grate food but you need to get upto get your drinks from the bar.

Second time I've been here after a good experience the first time. This time however was a little different than the first as the service at the bar was quite dull and uninviting, service at the meal counter was very good and friendly but then when you're halfway through eating the entree and the waitress continuously comes and asks you "are you ready for your mains yet? " It is really really annoying and quite suggestive that they want you to hurry up and get out of there, especially when there's not a smile to be seen. I'm not sure I'll be going back and as a hospitality business owner that's definitely not what you want from your customers.

Over priced NO atmosphere sitting so close to the next table just a quick eat when your desprate.
Response; If you have read that I mentioned paying for atmosphere then the rest of my review speaks for itself ignorant. I think your priority is to turn tables around quickly and get the money. Your restaurant is like a Coles cafeteria in the 1980s or you might prefer A SISSLER
Sad you don't like people to have an opinion My dinning experience is mine to share.

Very disappointed. Travelled from interstate for a family wedding and stayed at the Mercure Warragul. Decided to have a meal at your attached restaurant. We started with drinks but there was no bubbles in either glass. My wife had cola and mine was Scotch and dry. Took them back and was told that they also gas problems yesterday but thought it was fixed but would rectify the problem. Another server said she had the same problem earlier that evening. 10 mins later was then given different drinks with mixer from cans. With meals, my wife had morrocan lamb salad that she said was absolutely beautiful. In great contrast to my ribs. Mine was very dry with little meat and extremely tough. There was no BBQ sauce as you would expect with ribs, but instead had a very small dipping bowl of honey soy sauce. A very strange pairing with ribs. This experience made us decide to leave rather than order dessert. Unfortunately this was a low point of what was a very lovely weekend.

Worst meal ever.
I have previously enjoyed eating here, over last 3 years.
I ordered spicy seafood fettuccine. Now spicy I enjoy, but this was hotter than any dish I have eaten in my life. My esophagus burned for the rest of the night and I instantly felt sick after two bites. It was like eating a raw chilli. The two men at the table also tried it and were shocked at the level of heat in the dish.
The manager came over and tried to tell me that the meal had been made for other patrons that evening and no one else complained.
This has nothing to do with my experience and made me feel like she was insinuating that my complaint was invalid. Very poor customer service.
She offered to replace the meal, but by this point I felt so ill I had lost my appetite.
We cut the evening short and I will never return.
The rest of the table agreed that the meals were not up to previous standards and it was a very disappointing experience.

We got to Newmason's after the lunchtime hours finished but were still able to order a pizza and a drink, it was the best tasting pizza we've had in a long time. We thoroughly recommend going to Newmason's to everyone now.

Great venue, food and staff. My only complaint is the meal I got (seafood platter) looked like less food than the regular fish and chips
