Went in to ask for help with fill, aggregates and toppings. The guy at the counter was really helpful and wrote me a little list of roughly how much to include in each area.

Try he people are very friendly and helpful plus nonjudgmental of my complete lack of knowledge of landscapey supplies. The place has two entrances and the west one isn't well signed but just drive in. There are carparks inside.
Got some sleepers, mulch, topsoil and stones. Very easy to arrange delivery.

So, that makes Lindsay Cole, the Site Supervisor of Newcomb Sand and Soil at Torquay QUITE BLOODY UNIQUE. In fact, my wife and I were totally blown away.
We had asked Lindsay to put aside a large landscaping rock. A magnificent piece from their huge range. It was almost two months later, after an overseas trip, that we returned, not expecting it to still be there. Not only was it still there, but he remembered exactly where he had it and that it was OURS. Exemplary. All done with a huge smile on his face, and an energetic approach. If all small to medium businesses had people of this calibre Australia would be a better place.
