Very unprofessional, Clients are only able to schedule 1-2 appointments every 2 month and if you prepay your appointments, they will still charge you a cancellation fee if you are unable to attend, despite the appointment already being paid for and no time being lost. Avoid this place at all costs, the therapists do not care about you, only your money.
Edit: the receptionist is very nice.

I cannot speak highly enough of Angela Koukoulas as a person and as a professional counselor at NVP. Angela has profoundly helped me through the most difficult year of my life. Through her intellect, physiological insights and genuine kindness I have emerged through a very difficult separation as a much happier and balanced person. Angela’s frank and pragmatic approach, coupled with her sincere care and empathy provided me with the support and knowledge I needed to move forward. Angela also helped me with many other aspects of my life, bettering my relationship with those most dear to me, including my beautiful daughter. I will forever be grateful to Angela and highly recommend her to anyone seeking counselling advice. Regards Mark

Though I am not a patient at the clinic I would strongly recommend giving a call.
Adriana the reception staff was incredible and informative. Asking some difficult questions however to ensure she was looking for the right psychologist. She was reassuring, kind and non judgemental. These calls are never easy and was one I have been putting off for many months. With her support I have the confident to find myself the right clinic though would strongly recommending have a chat with her.
She is a value and an asset to the company. 10/10 to her

Usually cheerful and helpful my psychologist listens well doesn't agree with me sometimes but there may be a broader picture that I don't always see and disagrees congenialy in essence I am content with my worker

New View Psychology are extremely unprofessional and inconsistent. My partner and I had a couples counselling tele appointment. We received a text and email confirmation which we confirmed our appointment through. When no one rang us, we rang them. The receptionist told us the psychologist we were booked with didn't even work that day. They told us they would follow it up and we even sent them screenshots of the confirmations. Nothing was ever done and we never heard back. Recently I made an appointment for myself with a psychologist. I woke my young son up and went to my appointment. When I got there the receptionists told me my appointment had been cancelled and my psychologist had gone home for the day. I had the text confirmation in my phone of my appointment time and psychologist as well as an email confirmation. They told me I had called and cancelled it. I certainly did not wake my son up and waste my own time to come to an appointment that I had supposedly cancelled the day before. I even had proof I had confirmed it! Just say sorry and fix it! You can never get a hold of anyone. You wait over a month for an appointment and even then it doesn't mean you'll even have one when you get there. They've got no idea what they're doing. Do not go there.

When going through a difficult time I needed an objective, professional person to help - going to New View for such support was a wonderful decision. Staff are lovely, the locations and hours make it easy to work into any schedule. Best of all was the psychologist I saw, Craig Sanderson. I could not imagine a more empathetic or dedicated individual to guide me in my journey of awareness and healing.

Had a terrible experience with the psychologist Androulla here, and yes I am name dropping, so that you don't have a bad experience too. Got referred here by my GP, and the wait time was only a month, so I was extremely impressed, as this is quite a short wait time for the mental health system. Saw Androulla after a month of seeing no one, where she told me she was unable to continue seeing me as she didn't specialise in eating disorders, which by the way, is the least of my problems, I have severe depression and anxiety, which is what I wanted to focus on and what I told her. She then charged me for that appointment, which all she did was tell me she couldn't see me, and then continue to get to me to tell her all of my trauma. New View were unable to find any psychologist across all of their locations who could see me for an ED and so I was back to square one. I have found a new practice, who will take at least 8 weeks to get me an appointment. So basically I am without a psychologist for three months now. Androulla also told me that it was unethical of her to continue seeing me even if it would take months to find someone new, because she wouldn't be able to help me. This isn't true, I have depression and anxiety, 99% of psychologist know how to work with that. Anyway, I'm quite unimpressed with the service I received and have emailed administration about it already.

I was referred to New View via the employee support program offered by my employer. When I saw some of the one star reviews I was a little bit concerned. But I decided to give New View a try so that I could evaluate them myself. During my first session I saw a psychologist (face to face at the Moonee Ponds clinic) who probably wasn’t the best match for me. It wasn’t a bad session, it just lacked the back and forth conversation that I was expecting. So I asked to see someone else. I was matched up with a Sydney based New View psychologist, Thomas Buttel. Tom and I have had two great sessions via phone (no video). We quickly built a strong rapport and it felt as though Tom was more of a friend than a psychologist. Tom helped me to identify some underlying anxieties that I think I’ve had for quite a lot time. He provided me with the motivation, tools and a much needed shake up to help steer me in the right direction. If you’re after a confident, motivating and intellectual psychologist (practices CBT) then I can highly recommend having a chat with Tom.

Worst thing I did was contact these guys, I booked an appointment after my doctor referred me here, they're extremely hard to get a hold of, reception struggle to appoint you the right pyschologist, I booked my appt the first and they sent me a text telling me they had a cancellation and to call and arrange the booking, called within a minute and told me it had been taken by someone else, the following day they sent me a text saying to call them and they notified me that the pyschologist will not be seeing anyone on that day, so I asked for another booking and they didn't have one available with that pyschologist for months, so I asked for another and they booked me in, on the day I received a call saying my appt had been cancelled again, clearly frustrated at this stage as they kept pushing me around, I asked is there anything available for that day and they said they'll get back to me, which they couldn't so they booked me in for the next day, I went to the clinic and the pyschologist told me I could not see her as I was coming through work cover and it would be a conflict of interest.mind you they already knew I was coming through as a work cover claim, so after all the cancellations, travelling all the way to their strathmore clinic I was told to go home at this stage I was extremely upset and felt even more worthless. Then they booked me in with someone else named Nial it was supposed to be through zoom but he decided a phone call was better, mind you the phone call was supposed to be at 3pm and he called me at 3.10pm and hung up the phone at 4pm on the dot.
Through out the phone call not once did he ask about how I was going and why I was seeking help. He asked all sorts of irrelevant information, asked about my weight and told me I was to heavy and needed to lose my weight, absolutely appalling service, he was doing all the talking and wasted 1hr of my time, then when I had some questions that needed answering he had the audacity to tell me he had other patients waiting and that he needed to go with a frustrated tone.
After all I've been through I just got sent an invoice telling me I needed to pay them or else I will incur charges.

These guys are nothing but a money grab and don't care about your mental health rather how much money your pockets are filled with. They can't answer basic questions over the phone and make you wait hrs on end for a reply.

If you really want to be taken care of please don't call these guys and seek help somewhere else as these guys will only make the issue worse!

I did not enjoy my experience here whatsoever. The psychologist I saw did not help me at all and often at times would make me feel as if I was the problem and that I was over exaggerating my issues/how I felt. It is clearly stated on their profile, on New View Psychology's website, that they specialised in areas that I particularly needed help in. When addressing those issues with her she had the audacity to say "what do you want me to do about that? "
As a young woman who took the courage to seek help - this felt like a slap in the face. No professional and well-trained psychologist should EVER respond like this to their patients like this.
Im utterly disappointed and I will never recommend this clinic to anyone and especially the psychologist I saw.
Save your money and your mental health and get the proper help you need elsewhere.

I didn't feel I got the help I needed. My counsellor felt like a life coach. I felt I got misinterpreted a lot, and things I said were misconstrued. The exercises I got did not help me and were more meditations. When I said I was on a mental health care plan, they said I could not claim on Medicare, so I went somewhere more suitable to my needs.

I had an excellent experience here on my first visit. It was a very constructive session, and I have come away with a sense of clarity and focus that I'd hoped for going in. They explain that their objective is to be solution minded and I found that their practice matches their theory. Nellie is very easy to talk to and empathetic, I look forward to returning.
