New Northcote Brewhouse

I’ve been here twice now and both times I have really enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and great drink selection! I would love to come back again next time I’m in the area.

I recently visited the 'New Northcote Brewhouse' in Burwood, a place with a warm atmosphere and abundant natural light. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making the dining experience welcoming. The food, while reasonable in quality, complemented their great beer selection. What stood out most was the relaxed environment, perfect for unwinding. Highly recommended for a casual, enjoyable time.

Great place with indoor and outdoor seating and an awesome selection of beer. The imperial stout was my fav!

We went for the trivia night and have to say - this was one of the best trivia’s I’ve done in a while! Quite challenging questions too which we enjoyed (bring your A game). We had a couple of drinks and snack food items - all promptly brought over and tasty. Quite loud acoustically however.

Don’t bother people. Food was well below a reasonable standard. Waiter was nice but we won’t be back unfortunately. We really wanted this place to be good.

Steak we ordered medium was well done and dry as a bone.

Ribs tasted like they were cooked two days prior. Dry.

Chicken schnitzel was over cooked. Drinks came in tiny glasses.

Not great. I feel bad, because the staff were lovely. But it had a really average vibe - It felt like an old bistro type setup. I had some kind of carrot slaw thing, and it was tasteless. Definitely do not recommend.

Sign outside said New Northcote Tavern, so was a tad confusing. Plenty of parking in the Brickworks shopping centre underground car park. Tavern/Brewery is outside the shopping centre on the corner at the back, facing apartments. Has large inside dining with pool table and undercover outside tables. Good pub menu, large serves. We were sharing a fish and chips and triple cheese pizza, see photo.

Drove down here from Malvern to check it out and music was so loud I couldn't think or talk, venue looked pretty dated and commercial defs won't be back here again.

The place was packed tonight and only two wait staff, who were run off their feet. Grace, our server was absolutely amazing. She was efficient, friendly and unflappable under extraordinary conditions. My stars are for her.

Friendly staff, decent beer selection, food bang for buck is maybe where they could improve but its a slight gripe if anything.

Very nice and crispy parma that you could tell was actually made in house. Food came out quick and staff were lovely.

Great location in a new housing development and shopping centre. Beers and food both good, the stout was the standout when we went. Rotating beer options with a core range and seasonal options, all from Golden Hills.

3.5 Nice place.sat outside.knowledgeable bar tender … lunch for 4.2 guests got there meals 15 min before us … unfinished water glasses tipped on the concrete by wait staff while we were still eating … a few little things to finesse but we will be back

Family friendly, great service and delicious food and drinks. Pizza's are our favourite to share over a tasting paddle of beers.

Great place to grab a few drinks. Friendly staff, lots of different beers to choose from and a nice clean venue.

Great open space, friendly staff, food selection matches the wide variety of beers. Highly recommend. Well done.

Food was fantastic and we'll priced, cocktails didn't feel like they had much alcohol in them and service was very slow from very junior looking staff

Nice open atmosphere, perfectly prepared food (I had medium-well porterhouse cooked just right and very juicy). Great service and wide selection of beers

No Service at all. Sat down at 7.30 and only started getting the kids meals at 9pm. Although they did warn us about the waiting time, but just didn't expect a 1.5 hours wait. Food was soso, the main fish and chip not much bigger than the kid's fish and chip meal which is a bit ridiculous. Service was bad, one of the waitresses accidently knocked off drinks from the tray and poured it all over my friend's clothes, manager didn't come and say anything. Definitely not going back.

Terrible food. Very disappointed
We had eaten her once before and the food was great so when we booked again we were looking forward to a nice meal.
Nothing was good on our visit last night.
Very warm day, all windows open making the restaurant hit and uncomfortable with no fans or aircon.
The water given to our table had obviously been sitting out all day as it was really really warm.
Ask for some cool water, yes it was given to us, not acknowledgement of the warm water, in fact it was left on our table.
Next the food came out and was terrible.
Our table had order steak, duck and pizza.
Steak was so tough, I asked for a sharper knife, the kipfler potatoes looked at tasted old, stale and were clearly not freshly cooked. Day old and re-heated at best. The duck also seemed to be reheated (badly) dry and tough to eat. Both meals seemed to be day old leftovers.
My daughter ordered pizza which looked great when it arrived. As she pick up each slice it just fell apart. It was a gory mush of ingredients. Only the outer crust was edible.
I couldn’t hide my disappointment to the waitress when she asked how our meal was when she came to clear the plates. It was also obvious by all the food left on them.
I told it it was disappointing and it like the meal we had there before Xmas.
Again, no acknowledgement from the waitress.
The 3 staff that were working that knight, all looked like they didn’t want to be there. Maybe it was the heat. I know things are hard atm with covid and staff shortages. But all round, nothing good about our experience on this occasion.
I had also booked online and mentioned it was a birthday dinner. No acknowledgement of that either.
Very disappointing
