Neo Thai Vibe reviews
25 Brilliant, with a large table for 10 outside, the plastic sheaths and heater kept us immune for the weather and very comfortable.
As always the Potato Prawns, Chicken Satay Skewers were a great starter, then everyone loved their mains - my Pad Cha Talay was hot, spicy but importantly, the seafood cooked perfectly.
Great meal, friendly staff and perfect for a relaxed family night with the best Thai food in the area!
Chicken was off and I could not eat my meal. I had to spit it out. They didn’t apologise or anything until I reiterated what happened again
Arrived right on opening time and ordered spon after. Despite being g the only patrons in the restaurant our food took an hour to arrive. Satay vegetable curry was without taste and with a tiny bit of watery sauce. When I asked for more sauce one of the cooks stormed out and said rudely she would give me more sauce on the side and would charge me extra! Won't be back.
Food is wonderful. I ordered special crispy chicken on the board and pad prig kee nu, were nice and spicy. If you love spicy, must try these two.
The take away food is very inconsistent. Sometimes the rice is very soggy and overcooked. Don’t order coconut rice as you’ll probably get plain, and the tofu is tough.
Friendly, service a little slow. We went at a busy time. They served the take away people first. Food tasty.
I hate to criticise but the food at Neo Thai PARKDALE is less than average. Unfortunately their food lacks any authenticity as It has been grossly westernised with sickly sweet sauces and repetitive flavours and ingredients. My “crispy fish with celery and thai herbs” ended up as a plate of deep fried fish with standard thai vegetables (thin slices of carrot, chunks of onion and broccoli) with zero celery and no a single thai herb in sight. The sauce was purely salt and sugar and corn flour to thicken it. My plate looked just like every other meal being served. On a separate note the waitress was pleasant and service was quick. Sadly we won’t be back.
Update: my daughter ordered vegetarian pad thai here on Saturday and has felt quesy in the stomach since. She said it was the worst tasting pad thai ever. Poor quality slapped together and tasteless. Come on Neo Thai. What are you doing? Lift your game.
Staff friendly, but not many. Lots of take away which is prioritised over people in house. Staff responsive if you tell her. I only saw one
For every table service meal, there were maybe 10 deliveries going out the door. Having a constant procession of UBER Eats drivers walking through and waiting around has absolutely ruined our favourite local Thai. The need to set up a separate closed kitchen for that part of the business. The poor staff had to balance the patrons with the constant pressure of delivery orders. We won't be going back there.
We love Neo Thai! Was there again twice in recent weeks and both times the food was excellent. In particular we enjoyed the Penang Beef and the Mince Chilli Chicken. Service was great too. Thankyou Neo Thai! We're coming back again soon. ️
Interesting place obviously does a great take away trade with only one staff member serving take away and in restaurant service is a bit slow however food was very tasty but needed more meat in the curry definately worth a try though
Alway been a regular customer. Great service but food mains are SO much smaller than they used to be. No vegetables with seafood as on the menu. Almost entree size. Disappointed. Roti bread tiny and very dry. Would not go back unfortunately.
Casual Thai dining with friendly staff and good food at reasonable prices.
Always a reliable choice.
I have dined in before and food was much better, but the Pad Thai prawns I ordered two weeks ago were so bland. It was literally a heap of noodles with 4 prawns & some spice. No other vegetables and only small evidence of egg. Very disappointing as I regularly have this dish at my favourite Thai restaurant in Springvale and even Manow Thai in Mordialloc and it is completely different and with much more flavour & ingredients. Maybe they were having a bad day? !

The Food here is absolutely awful. Tasted bland, was not fresh at all and had very little meat or veg.made me feel sick after eating and the server was very rude.
If you’re looking for good Thai food and friendly service - go somewhere else!
The food is always the same, at times during covid you had to wait … (hello) but I’d rather wait and have the same experience, I’ve been eating the amazing deliciousness for 2 years …. Thai people are authentically beautiful souls, which is attributed to their home land …. The staff are always polite & so beautiful!
Staff were rude and unfriendly.
Waitress actually rolled her eyes at us when we asked if we could split the bill 3 ways for the 6 of us. Hard to believe they then threatened to call the police if we didn't pay on the one card! True!
Won t be going there again.
Cute restaurant tucked away in Parkdale. Staff were friendly, food was FRESH and absolutely delicious. Yum!
Absolutely useless.it's a Thai restaurant and they don't even know what nam prik nam pla dipping sauce is. Not hard guys.
