Although the Cable Park is a separate water body and is open.
This place has really got better over the past few years with some updates and the addition of the cable park water centre. Really enjoy watching the speed/drag boats when they have the events on, and also the car shows. It's a great spot to catch the sunrise too. Good spot for sunrise photography with the jetty.
Enjoyed watching a water ski Christmas show
It can get cold and windy but be prepared and it’s ok
Love this place. I come here for school rowing and the river is lovely. The boatkeeper for my school is also such a sweet man.
Melbourne cable park is a blast. First visit, off the cuff, not a watersport enthusiast or anything but found the complex and options perfect. Good instruction. Thought we'd spend 2 or so he's.killed the day there. 12yr old, 16yr old, 35,36 all thumbs up. I don't know how very young ones would go.maybe call ahead.
Love the cable park! Good for kite surfers during those windless winter days. Snow surfers will also love it during the snowless summer season.
