Nathan Burkett Landscape Architecture reviews
6Nathan, Ellie, Zane, Paul, Carlie and the whole team at Nathan Burkett Landscape Architecture are a talented, dedicated and professional team. I have had the opportunity to work with them on various project for the last year now and they committed to innovation, delivering quality and excellence in garden design, construction and maintenance. I can not recommend them highly enough.
I contacted Nathan Landscaping about 2.5 years ago, spoke with someone very professional on the phone and set up a meeting where Nathan himself would come over to our property and discuss our project. The meeting went well, his team followed up pretty much right away about how to progress to the next step. That was the only time we ever see Nathan. Every questions was answered very promptly by his team, everything feels efficient. So we decided to go ahead with the project. Once the money have been paid, that’s when every changes, nothing is ever on schedule even before the pandemic started. Emails were almost never answered, sometimes we had to actually call the office and still we can’t get hold of anyone whose handle our project. Delayed after delayed, Nathan told us that our garden project would take around 6 months, it ended up taking around 2 years. Our backyard was a mess for 1.5 year longer than we were told. At first their excuse was they didn’t have enough manpower due to the Australian open 2021, so we let it go and waited. Australian open 2021 come and go and Australian open 2022 also came and go and our garden is still not done. There will be period where we just don’t know what’s going on, one week there will be people working in our backyard everyday and then 2 weeks of nothing and no one tell us anything. Even if you email them to ask, they don’t reply. Sometimes we have to cc everyone that we ever correspond with to get a reply! I am not talking about lockdown period here. Then once the garden was almost done (we assumed because it looks like it’s done and since they never communicate anything with us), and they said that someone will come and walk us through the project. It was on a weekday so we had to make the time for the meeting, no one turn up. No email or calls to let us know anything, we have to actually called and asked what’s going on. They asked to reschedule and we emailed them back telling them our availability, 4 months later, still haven’t heard back till now! I think people should know what they’re getting into. It is not cheap and this is not how you should treat your customers. Take your business somewhere else is what I say.
We couldn't recommend NBLA more highly. Nathan and his team go above and beyond for their clients to create gardens that are truly special, memorable and unique. Nathan has a strong eye for detail and was collaborative in his approach, including us in every part of the process. We absolutely love our new garden!
I have worked with Nathan on over a dozen projects over the past four years and am continually blown away by his creativity, attention to detail and ability to deliver above expectation. I highly recommend Nathan and his passionate and talented team.
As a fellow creative who has worked alongside Nathan and his team, I wanted to share a review that is from the same side of the fence so to speak. We work with many consultants and creatives, and have found Nathan's designs to be beautiful not only at a conceptual level, but translate so beautifully in the real world. We know we are onto a good thing when we get to furnish a house with a Nathan Burkett garden.
