Portions are so small compared to the price… $26 for 5 prawns and a bit of veggies. Could at least give away some rice with it. Not worth it.

Popular place but average to Decent food I would say. Service slightly delayed. Portion size of the food is lesser than normal. Also need more parking for such a large restaurant

Quaint and popular local restaurant. Even though my meal came out later than the rest, the quality overshadowed.
On other occasions it has been very good overall.

Food was lacking a lot of flavours, definitely not a genuine Thai cooking. No chopstick available, a big red flag. Food came out super fast because it was not cooked to order, clearly they have been prepared before hand, it was not hot.

Disappointed by the food here. I don't know what it was, maybe the correct ingredients in the wrong proportion but the tastes of the dishes we ordered were all slightly off.

Better lighting needed in the kitchen as well as better pest control. I ate went to eat leftovers from last night and found a dead cockroach in my stir-fry

I have been a regular customer of Narai Thai for 3 years now and it is simply outstanding. The food is terrific and I'm never left disappointed. The food is up there with the best Thai I've eaten in Australia and the service is always good. Highly recommend this place.

This used to be such a great restaurant, sadly it has gone down hill. We had hairs in our food, the order was incorrect and the pad Thai was very tasteless. We called and spoke to the owner who was rude and unapologetic. Please avoid at all costs! I should have read the owners reply to the negative reviews below… appalling. This is a horrible way to manage a business. Cue owners negative response…

Wow… just as I anticipated the owner has aggressively replied and told me to f/off. Please, if you have any respect for yourself walk away from this business. I sure hope he doesn’t treat his employees this badly.

A family favourite! Some of the best Thai food you will get in the northern suburbs. Staff serve you with a smile. We've been coming here for years and will continue for many more!

The best restaurant in Melbourne, food is awesome and the service is excellent. I'll say 12 of 10.

The owner has made rude comments in some of his recent reviews, such as: enjoy your “miserable life”. If this is the kind of care and professional they use to handle their reviews, I can only begin to imagine the kind of care and professional they use to handle their food.

Edit: time spent at an establishment is not indicative of your ability to handle food. This is clear; as a few of my friends have fell ill immediately after eating at your restaurant. If this happened once, maybe that person is susceptible to a certain food allergy. However, this has happened twice, to two different people— it almost seems like there is a common denominator here. Clearly your experience of running a restaurant since the 1990s does not equate to your capacity to handle food in a safe way. For anyone who sees this comment, please do yourself a favour and don’t come here. Thanks owner, have a nice day ️
Edit #2: yes, you are right. I do have a choice in life. Unfortunately, some people who attended your restaurant in the past did not have such liberty of choice. They were given no choice but, to be given food which caused them to be sick. Anyhow, you enjoy disappointing your customers, hope you have a sub-par day my kind sir. Have an alright life and remember to wash your hands:).

Nice food I have heard raves about this place. It may have been nice instead of great as it was takeaway and it was a journey home to eat. Will dine in soon and am sure it will rank as great food@

It’s basically like our second dining room here! We come here at least once a week and it’s without any doubt the best restaurant around. The food is always perfectly delicious and the staff are absolutely amazing. We really enjoy the company of Sam, Stef and the whole gang.
I can’t recommend this place enough.

Last few times we've picked up takeaway it wasn't as good as it used to be. Decided to give them another chance and eat in tonight, and it was a big disappointment. The roti came with insufficient peanut sauce. The rice was brought out well before the mains arrived, and was barely lukewarm. I mentioned this to a waitress and she was going to take it away and heat it up in the microwave! OMG no! My green curry with tofu and veggies came with only 2 small pieces of tofu, huge chunks of barely cooked pumpkin, and heaps of carrots. It was spicy but lacked flavour. The pork was barely passable, and the chicken clay pot was at least reasonable. Skipped desert. Will not be going back again. Such a shame.

Duck spring rolls and prawn rolls are the best for entree. For main crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli is the best.

Set menu was disappointing Curry didnt taste like curry very bland, Rice was over cooked and one of the dishes took too long to come out we had to ask the waiter twice. The ice cream dessert was disappointing.
