Myer Geelong reviews
45 Deliberate and unreported covid breach, a culture of gossip and bullying in handbag-leather goods and
Peter Alexander Night Attire, unhelpful and unfriendly staff in handbag-leather goods and Peter Alexander Night Attire departments - service non-existent in these departments
I recently purchased a Christmas gift hamper online, I was happy with the discount offered but unfortunately its still not ready for collection and no update received as well.
I just went to buy a suit and nobody would assist me with the size so I left without the suit I went there to buy. The shop attendants that saw me there and did nothing should be in trouble for that experience.
With so many stores nearby there really is little reason to visit Myer at all. Target is cheaper and there are so many smaller places with more stock.
It was once the only option but is now at the bottom of stores to go to in Geelong.
Yes they do have quality stuff, but the prices are always ridiculous and the aesthetic of the store is so disingenuous and ultra conservative
I don't know how Myer turned a profit last year. Every time I walk into one of their stores, the staff are unhelpful, if not rude. This was no exception. While trying to get the attention of one of two staff who were casually chatting, when they saw us, they huddled together and raced away.
Quality service.
Myer Geelong needs an overhaul. The set out is bad, staff are hard to find. Went to Werribee Myer a much better store.
The staff in this store are incredibly slow. They take a long time to process payments and don’t apologise when you’ve been waiting for a substantial length of time.
I had this experience at 3 registers.
Better than the one in Chadstone miraculously.more variety, stock and set out well. Myer really seems to be struggling overall at the moment with so many other retailers doing a better job.
Went into myer to buy boots, knew what I wanted so should be in n out. I felt a bit invisible or unworthy as the 2 ladies working looked and walked straight past me numerous times. As I stood there with the boots I wanted to purchased they proceeded to ask and serve everyone else around me. I almost walked but I wanted the boots so I sat down and went online by the time I was doing that I was finally approached, to which I said I'm actually just about to purchase these online as you both obviously couldn't see me standing here waiting. She apologised saying they were quite busy to that I answered.not really u actually at one stage stood there looking around (straight through me) and then walked right past me to a man that was at that stage the only other customer here, and had only just walked in the shoe section.
After that she was quite pleasant
This is one of Myer's smaller stores and typically nothing cheap but a better level of quality.
Friendly service when you can find an open register. Myer have cut back staff for so long now that I prefer to shop online.
I shop at Myers because I hate shopping and they have a good selection and the staff are great if you can find one. I often think why am I shopping at Myers and the answer is service but to be true full the lack of staff has made me question s this
Come in to pick up an outfit for my 2 year old daughter for a wedding in a few weeks. Some great discounted clothes that would normally be out of our price range.
Staff were helpful and friendly. There was no rush rush to purchase and we asked alot of questions.
On the first visit, I had been having trouble sourcing a stainless steel dish rack which wouldn't rust (two that I had bought from another store had rusted fairly quickly and had to be returned).
I have to say that I was very impressed by the excellent level of customer service provided by Brenda, who sheperded me to the area and helped with finding out details of the products. Unfortunately because it is a smaller store than Melbourne, it didn't have the item that I had seen online and none of the other racks were what I was looking for, so she suggested another store in the centre, where I was luckily able to find a rack that suited my needs. The lady at that store said that they had referred people to Myer when they didn't have a product that a customer wanted, so it went both ways.
On the second visit, I had to return a slow cooker which I had bought online, because the crockery pot inside was too heavy for me to handle. There was no problem with returning it at the store (my adult son had to carry it in for me), and the young lady there was efficient.
I have heard people say that they haven't been happy with the customer service at Myer generally. Fortunately, this has not been my experience at any Myer store I've visited (interstate or in Victoria). I've found all the staff that I've encountered to be helpful and mostly friendly (and the times when they haven't been friendly have been very busy times when I'm sure they've just about been run off their feet!).
Myer Geelong is a regional store so not as big as some of the Melbourne stores but I always manage to find what I’m looking for. It is always clean and I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I am not sure about staffing levels because of covid or that I was shopping on a Wednesday but a lot of registers were closed so it took a while to make the purchase. There is always sale items and marked down goods. I love a bargain
Myer is a good a store to shop, there always seems to be marked down items on sale and a wide variety of different named companies on offer
Good store, would help if the escalator didn't break down often. Staff always friendly when I should find one
Definitely a 1stop shopping experience, absolutely everything in very close proximity, great sales and very attentive staff.
Recommend Geelong Myer to all
