Drive an hour for our little one’s birthday.
But they give you an expired cake icing paper without any notice. Thank god we double checked.

And the staff said there are only expired ones left, if you want a fresh one printed, then pay $20 dollars, they can do it.

Bad service and not trustworthy at all. And they announce that it is legal to sell expired food in Australia.
Not even with a single notice? Definitely no.

Please double check before you come and buy.

Charlee supplied my order to perfection, I described color, piping style etc and on collection my order was perfect. All staff are always helpful, I'll definitely purchase my cakes from there in future.

This place is insane. THEY HAVE EVERYYTHING, huge stock, good quality, pricing is more than other places but cannot fault the amount of products they have instore. Helpful/ friendly staff and good parking.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a cake workshop at My Dream Cakes Hallam, led by the talented By Aletoso, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable journey into the world of cake decorating.

First and foremost, By Aletoso's expertise shone through in every aspect of the workshop. Camilo’s passion for cake artistry was evident in their detailed explanations and patient guidance. Whether you were a beginner like me or a seasoned baker, By Aletoso made sure everyone felt comfortable and inspired to create beautiful cakes.

The workshop was held at My Dream Cakes Hallam was well-organized and equipped with all the tools and ingredients we needed. Camilo’s (By Aletoso) step-by-step demonstrations were clear and easy to follow, making even the most intricate designs seem achievable. He encouraged creativity and provided helpful tips along the way.

What truly set this workshop apart was the personal touch and enthusiasm Camilo brought to the table. He and My dream Cakes were genuinely invested in each participant's progress, offering one-on-one guidance and constructive feedback. It created a friendly and collaborative atmosphere among all the attendees.

By the end of the workshop, I was amazed by what I had accomplished, thanks to By Aletoso's expert guidance. I left with not only a stunning cake but also a newfound passion for cake decorating. My Dream Cakes and By Aletoso have created something truly special here, and I can't wait to attend another workshop in the future.

Lauren and the team are the most helpful amazing front of house staff I have ever come across, such a pleasure to deal with.

MDC is a cake decorator’s heaven! Well stocked with a great range of supplies and very friendly and helpful staff. Last week I attempted my first spherical cake. With great hesitation, I walked into MDC for my supplies and was lucky enough to speak to Lauren, who patiently answered all my questions and gave me such valuable advice including the use of baking nails and how to adequately dowel and support my cake to ensure that it wouldn’t collapse. Throughout the week, I made a few phone calls to MDC for further advice and Julie and Lauren were again, very helpful, patient and supportive.

So a huge thanks again ***especially to Lauren*** and also to Sue, Charlee and Julie for all your advice and moral support.

I couldn’t have done this pokeball cake without you!

I’ve now done two classes with Kayla at My Dream Cake and they were both so fun. Kayla is so talented and down to earth. She shared heaps of tips and the My Dream Cake team were super lovely too. I had an amazing time at both classes and learnt so much. Thank you to all those that made these classes happen

I have had a great experience today during tutorial on wafer paper cake decorations. I feel confident to try it out myself.

Loved it! Enjoyed the master-class with Kayla. Learnt a lot and had a ball. Lots of cake decorating tips. Wish there were classes in Sunshine. Highly recommend attending.

Had very good sales service at the establishment. Sales person "Charlee" very pleasant and knowledgeable. Got exactly what I needed and good advice. Will return to this shop.

I just completed the Easter Royal Icing class lastnight. So amazing. Our instructor, Anita was wonderful and the class members were fantastic. Such a good atmosphere and so much fun. Certainly learnt a lot as a beginner. Please, if you want to learn anything, this is a great way to start. Thankyou My Dream Cake, I’ll be coming to many more classes.

Great range of products at this place and it’s a great business design. Very sad that it’s unfortunately let down by some of the worst staff I’ve ever met. They are rude, unfriendly and incompetent. Honestly what is the point of staffing your store if you are hiring these village idiots? I’ve tried to go back a few times and give the place a second chance but every time I walk in there the staff make me feel so uncomfortable that I leave.

The girls here are always so helpful, plus these guys have absolutely everything. Well worth the drive if you live far away. Best by far. ️

Disgusting! I spent a good $300 here in one transaction on click & collect. Half of the items in my order were not available, so they asked me if I want a refund. I said yes. Then they never refunded me. I emailed them and called them numerous time at the head office and the girl that talked to me was like: "we can't help you". Robbed me of my money. I will never support this dodgy organisation again. I will take you to Consumer Protection.

Terrible customer service over the phone, not helpful whatsoever. They had me on hold for over 15minutes while processing accounts.do not recommend.

I was having problems with my edible printer and when I came in to try and fix it, the staff were really helpful and friendly. Samantha helped me to fix my printer and told me about little tricks I can use to make life easier when using it. She was very friendly and I am so happy that my printer is now working! Thanks so much Samantha and team!

Ripping off customer, go shop elsewhere

They change me $20 for a cake image topper. Same thing I bought online for $5.400% more than elsewhere… bloody Ripping off.

Went to the shop few times.everything is so expensive.they are ripping off unsuspecting housewife bigtime

Huge thank you to the entire team at Hallam my dream cakes. Anita gave us the most gorgeous cake for my sisters 40th, I was elated with the reveal, certainly 5 Star look. The next day I had a disaster! I underestimated the temperature of my car floor and during transport the cake heated too much and it crashed into the side of the box. The My Dream Cakes girls were amazing! I took the cake to them and 2 hours later I was on my way to the party with a gorgeous cake again. If I could give them an infinity and 1 star, I would. My sister loved how beautiful the cake was and the red velvet was delicious, exactly what she’d hoped for. Very very happy customers. Thank you girls!

Rude customer service came in was completely ignored when asking for help last week, When there was hardly any customers in the store, Theres particular workers in there that needs a attitude check aswel, Teach your staff how to greet ALLL CUSTOMERS and teach them to not have a stick so far up there arse. Thanks never coming back.
