You can’t beat good old fashion service and the meat is very good. Also think the lemon and herb rub on chicken thighs is great.

Most welcoming and friendly butchers with a great selection. I will update once we've cooked our selection but everything looked excellent quality. For what we bought, chicken breasts, sausages and gravy beef the price was reasonable.

Expensive.
By expensive I mean that when I went there they were charging $30 a kilogram for mince beef.
That is twice the price of other butchers.

Bought minced chicken (frozen), staff said it comes packed 500gm, bought two of them, later on realised they charged me for 250gm extra. The chicken was absolute rubbish and stinks. Wouldn’t recommend

I have NEVER been disappointed with service here. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. When less busy, they always ask about what you are doing. The meat is always so fresh and they cater for you with needs if further cutting needed.

Consistently Excellent quality and Barry always happy to give friendly advice. My daughter loves the Beef Schnitzels

Always lovely service, delicious meat! My toddler LOVES the meatballs and the dog bones keep our pups happy for weeks. Highly recommend the marinated ribs, put in the slow cooker and then finished off on the Weber!

Went to get a few things today to get home to realise I had been ripped off $20 after adding up the few things I had got. Never will I be returning to this shop ever again

Pretty expensive, and not all meat is the best quality.my son enjoys their pork chops, but at aprox. $9 for one chop, thats expensive.have tried their steaks, its like trying to eat leather.i forget what theye called, the bits of chicken with bacon wrapped around it and a sauce/marinade over it was disgusting, i gave it to my dog, and i paid something like $5 for it.their marinated chicken wing bits are delicious.on top of already expensive prices, they have hiked their prices up higher, using the corona virus as an excuse.i get their marinated chick wings once in a while and my son a pork chop as a treat, all my other meat i get from the supermarket.great quality, and better prices.

My butcher, I am pretty disappointed to have wasted my money and effort with this mob.
The owner is really not all there.
Financially manipulative, abuses the unfortunate and works in contrast to the Australian spirit.
Lowest moral shop in town, shop elsewhere.

So I decided to give these guys a try even though they are on the more expensive side and was thoroughly disappointed with the product. The team was friendly but the steaks I got were the worse I've had in Ballarat. They were like eating boot leather after being cooked to medium rare and allowed to rest. Will not be visiting again.

I'm a first time customer, l brought 2 kg of chicken wings, 2 kg mince and the beef snitzels. The mince and chicken wings were nice, but both weighed up at 700g individually not a kg, so quite dissapointed. Sorry guys won't be back

I felt very awkward in this shop. Using my own containers seemed to be a big deal for them (never had this issue before), and wasn't allowed because they were unfamiliar with the process even after explaining that they need to Tare the scale and then put the meat in there. Meat quality does not justify the price. We got chicken marylands for $12.99 a kilo and they still have all the giblets on them. The chicken thighs also seem quite dirty and don't justify the $16 a kilo price tag. Staff seemed to just leer at us. I definitely won't return. They get an extra star for having a clean display however there was a bucket of blood near the front door.

Love this butcher but not impressed that I asked for 8 sausages and got a bag of 13. Not sure if it was laziness by the assistant or upselling without asking the customer

We purchased 4kg of lamb mince and 8kg of pork mince to make our own sausages.
The pork stinks and the lamb had bones all the through it. Yes bones! Alot like 20 pieces came out of 5 sausages, they were very sharp and some were up to 1 and 2cm long. I rang him to discuss, even sent him a photo of the bones and he said I quote: theres nothing I can do about it now and if you want you can come in and grab a couple of lamb sausages to compensate. He didnt care at all. All I'm left with is expensive pork as dog and lamb sausage I cant even feed to the dog as it's to dangerous. I am so angry and disgusted it's beyond a joke.
Be very careful if I had bone in my meat who knows what he puts in his own sausages as they are finely minced ours were corse minced.

Worst butcher in ballarat. Bought 4 pieces of scotch fillet steak cooked med/rare in a hot fry pan the same way I cook all my steak.couldn't eat it too tough.ended up throwing most of it in the bin. The owner didn't want to hear it basically called me a liar. And wouldn't do anything about it. Just lost Alot of business will never be back.
