MUM'S LUNCH KOREAN FOOD

Nice korean food, taste original like home food. The lunch combo is served with variety little dishes, which is good. However the price is too expensive in my personal opinion, the portion for the main dish could have been bigger: (Overall everything is just OK. I might come back again, but only if I am happen to be around in the area.

Unexpected tiny gem in the middle of industrial Moorrabbin.

Came here on a quiet Thursday and food came super fast and piping hot.

Very balanced meals and beautifully seasoned banchans which were thoughtfully paired with the main meal. Salty soybean stew with the crispy skinned mackerel was so good and I loved the radish kimchi. My partner had the spicy pork which was hearty and tender. Tofu side dish was also super delish. Lots of spicy and fermented elements - our fave aspects about Korean flavours shine here.

The only downside is the portions are on the smaller side lol but we still found ourselves pleasantly satiated/ full.

We love how homely this place is - the food definitely has a ‘mum’s love’ imbued in it.

A small restaurant out in Moorabbin. We went after hearing about this hidden gem in the industrial area.

Long wait around 1 hour for the table. Another 40mins to an hour for our food to arrive. Not sure if this is an average wait times as it was unofficial long weekend for Melbourne cup.

We ordered the soy bean stew and the spicy beef stew.
The soybean stew was too salty by our standard. I like the spicy beef stew.

Overall the food tasted good.
I would recommend that you have it takeaway if you are unable to wait.

Great atmosphere. Very homey. Food is amazing. It’s a shame that they only serve during weekdays as I work in the city. I’m glad it’s Easter break and I can finally try the buzz around the area. A must for foodies. Humble and hearty.

Absolutely a hidden gem
Homemade lunch that made by Korean’s mums. No MSG, delicious side dishes and main meals.
The Galbitang (beef rib soup) is just on point. It’s a hearty, nourishing soup with a delicate flavor.
Busy restaurant because they only open for lunch hours. Reasonable price and staff are truly kind and providing great service.

Excellent service. Food is delicious like my Korean friend mum would cook. If I could say one thing is probably portion. $20 lunch these days is not too expensive but not cheap. If we could have slitly more portion I'm sure they will do even better than now. I'm pretty sure it's not quite enough for male customers or even female like me! Who loves to eat!

Had a gorgeous lunch here today. I chose the Spicy Smoked pork and rice. It came with three side dishes. Everything tasted so delicious and moorish. All the sides were perfect (I especially loved the pickled cucumber) and the main dish of the pork was just the right amount of spiciness with the flavour rich and satisfying.
The two staff ajummas were friendly, happy and helpful.
I would definitely like to go back there again.

Authentic Korean Fare

Tucked away in the middle of an industrial estate is a little shop punching well above its weight in wholesome and authentic Korean fare. Setup looks basic until you notice that they’ve invested in uncommonly comfy chairs.

Captained by ajunma and her aunt/mum (?), service is quick and friendly. Always packed at lunchtime due to the lunch specials, the small kitchen keeps up even with the non-stop stream of takeaway orders.

The food when it comes is a sight to behold. Tasty sides accompanying our mains which was on this day - the spicy beef rib stew with glass noodles and potato, and for the missus - the soybean stew with mackeral.

I’m a spice fiend and this spicy beef rib stew still set off fireworks in my mouth. Supremely tender fall-off-the-bone ribs - perfectly portioned and bathed in that thick bodacious sauce with glass noodles. Sublime on top-grade rice.

My partner thoroughly enjoyed her piping hot soybean stew and well-seasoned fried mackeral too, also served with 3 yummy sides. Damage? $18 each, plus 5% discount if you pay in cash.

The reviews are legit - this place is a must-try if you miss no-nonsense homecooked Korean fare. This joint is worth the search for it!

Hidden GEM! Authentic Korean food. Literally felt like I was back in Korea eating lunch made by my mom. Had the Soybean Stew set and EVERYTHING was so perfect. Deserves a visit from everyone in the area.

This korean restaurant is the most authentic and famous among korean societies in Melbourne! And now getting popular among non-kroeans too who looking for genuine korean food! The chef (the owner’s mother) has her career in cooking for 40 years as i heard. I really enjoyed all dishes here! Thank you for good food!
