MultiSkills Training

Started a Cert III in Civil Construction two weeks ago, I've just finished the plant operations part of the scope with Brett, Paul and Tim. As a trainer/assessor going through a career change, I can confidently say that MultiSkills is one of the very few RTO's that delivers education with superb professionalism, detail and care. I haven't finished the entire course just yet but the experience I've had through foundation and plant operations has been exactly the kind of hands on training that every RTO should strive for. Brett and Paul ensured that we all had every opportunity to use the machinery, their training styles and abilities are excellent. They made sure that we understood how the business works outside of a simulated environment and made safety paramount.

I had the pleasure of learning from John and Les at the Werribee Multi-Skill site. Both are very good at what they do. I started the week not knowing anything about operating and after the first week, I feel like I have been doing this for a long time. Thanks to John and Les whom are excellent at teaching us the basics. John who has set a high standard for us and I can only hope I have met that standard. I think it’s very important to have a trainer who cares about you doing well in the course and coming away with lots of knowledge rather than a teacher whom is there to fill in the role and you’re just a number. When I first reached out to MultiSkills Training, I spoke with Mary, who guided me through the various training options and courses available. Mary's in-depth knowledge of the sessions, fees and requirements assisted me greatly in deciding to choose MultiSkills Training as my preferred RTO for Civil Construction Plan Operations.

The first component of the Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations consists of 10 days onsite training at the Werribee campus. The Werribee site is easy to locate, and there is ample parking. It is also close to public transport.

The site has several functional areas designed to cater for each training discipline. At any given time there can be 15+ students operating machines in the designated areas for training. The trainers managed the coordination of the equipment per student with ease, and there was never an occasion where I needed to wait to use a machine. The machines are in excellent condition, and it was a privilege to use new and well-maintained equipment.

The absolute highlight for me was the expert tutelage I received from John, my trainer. John’s technical knowledge and guidance in regards to the safe and efficient use of each machine was outstanding. The pride John takes in teaching his students is remarkable, and his professionalism and high standards is such a positive reflection on MultiSkills Training.

The confidence I now have operating the dozer, front end loader, skid steer, backhoe, excavator and roller is a direct reflection on the way John guided me through the course. John has high expectations from his students, and if you listen and take on board John’s counsel, you will excel in this course.

I was particularly impressed with John’s continued attention on fostering a safe training environment for his students. His depth of expertise greatly assisted me with progressing with the safe and efficient operation of each machine. I have no hesitation recommending MultiSkills Training to future students.
