Mukka Indian Restaurant reviews
88Always had takeout, dined in for a change. One of the best Goat Curry in Melbourne. Great list of cocktails. Highly recommend
Been here for the first time. Absolutely recommend for friendly service, great food and lovely ambience. Tried their new specials, the Champaran Mutton and Chana Masala.
We had a great night, the meal was full of flavour, the cocktails were presented beautifully. The prawn and the pumpkin Marsala was huge as is the Naan bread. We ordered way too much but thankfully we could take it home with us. Samosas are always our staple when we come here and we will certainly be back. Fantastic service too.
Had one of the best indian food in melbourne. Truly remarkable, service was top notch by Kabir and oh their cocktails are nonetheless masterpiece
Incredible dining experience! We opted for the fixed menu, and the portion size and taste exceeded expectations. The starters featured papad, bhel puri, and chicken tikka. For mains, we selected kadhai chicken, malai kofta, and maa ki daal, served with rice and a trio of naans. Exceptional!
Incredible food. Best cheesy naan ever. Restaurant owner is passionate about his menu and easy to talk with. Such great food — fully recommend!
Went here last night because of their extensive vegan options. Everything was so delicious! There's an extensive cocktail list, the chai martini was nice, but the vegan Spiced Maharaja Sour was unbelievable!
This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly specially Mr. Kabir. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some Indian dishes and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. Best Indian restaurant in Melbourne.
Food was delicious and we ordered just the right amount for too. Staff were lovely and attentive to what we needed and everything came out in good time.
Last time I came here, the group I was with ordered weird amounts where it wasn't enjoyable, so I'm happy to come back now and have a good experience with decent proportions.
Food was delicious!
What an amazing little place with such a cool vibe, lovely service and fantastic food. Had the rice puffs, chicken chettinad curry and pav bhaji all delicious. Def coming back here again!
Mukka is normally my ‘go to’ Indian takeout. Haven’t ordered in a while but decided to treat myself to a butter chicken tonight.
I was disappointed in the curry tonight, it was pale, lacked colour, and majorly lacked flavour and spice.
Hopefully this is a one off and not a change in recipe
I had dinner at Mukka with my friends. Customer service is good. Sitting arrangement is poor. Food was good but prices are expensive. There was also good amount of time difference between the time food ordered and served.
I’d heard good thing about Mukka and was not disappointed, 5 stars all round, great service, perfect naans, lamb biryani as was the smoky flavour on all the tandoor dishes, this is now my go to curry house
The best Indian food I” be had in Melbourne Omg shahi paneer and paneer tikka their is so good! It’s easy on the spice to and the service is great really Friendly staff highly recommend
Food is good but too pricy for the quantity. We ordered lamb chops which was 28$ and got only 3 pieces. That was too much. And the curries were given in such small quantities which and the price was 30$ each and the quantity was enough for 2 and we were 8 people. Prawns curry was very salty. Even after informing them about it, the staff dint respond well. Would rate food 3.5/5 but the place, staff, prices and quantity - 0/5.
My husband and I regularly dine at mukka bruswick street. Unfortunately tonight's experience was less than desirable and we will certainly not be returning. The butter chicken was tasteless and watery. The biryani was totally inedible as it had a strong off smelling aroma. We couldn't even bring ourselves even to taste it. The naam bread was dry and burnt to a crisp. There is nothing positive to say. It is truly a shame as I can say it was an amazing little treasure. The waitress explained that the chef has changed and also removed the most divine dish being thr dosa. I was truly so proud of the young owner who had so much pride and would converse with us regularly about his passion to open another location. It's truly disheartening that he has allowed the Brunswick Street mukka to fall so hard from its former glory. So disappointing.
Surely a hit in the town, a place where every indian can find the perfect blend of spices and ingredients in food.
Went to this restaurant for bday dinner and it was genuinely so good! A complete package including great vibe and mouth watering food … if you are looking for a good Indian restaurant definitely a place to check out ️
Tasty and healthy Indian food found in Melbourne so far. Chef deserves more than 5 star for the Chicken Chettinad Curry.
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Brunswick St Fitzroy. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best high quality and supreme indian restaurant we had in a while. Highly recommend!
