Muffin Break Geelong

Muffin Breath at Westfield Geelong is just crazy.
Only 2 staff and everyone was complaining about the wait.
I waited almost 15 minutes for a coffee which was only Luke warm.
Next time it will be Gloria Jean's quick service hot coffee

My two sons and I were eating lunch at the food court in Westfield Geelong on Saturday 26th of August. We were sitting opposite the Muffin Break cafe, my oldest son (6 years of age) wanted a bottle of water. I gave him a $5 note to purchase one while I watched. This is due to me encouraging him and his confidence. Just prior to this I witnessed a male staff member leaning against the coffee machine bench, using his mobile phone. There were no customers at the time this occurred. The male staff member then walked behind the food prep area on the other side and continued on his phone. There was also a female staff member who was leaning on the bench behind the food cabinet also using her mobile phone. My son then went and stood at the counter waiting for service. The female staff member looked up and went back to her phone. A young couple then approached the food cabinet and she put her phone down and went to serve them. My son was standing right at the counter next to the other customers, patiently waiting. As the couple walked away, the female staff member looked down at my son and his $5, yet continued to walk back to the counter, leant down and started using her phone again! By this time, my son turned to me and said, they aren’t coming. The female looked up as I approached the counter and ushered him away, saying that we will spend our money elsewhere. This did not seem to bother the lady as she went back to her phone. This was the time the male staff member re-emerged from the back. I chose to walk away from the situation in utter disappointment rather than telling the staff how angry this made me, as they both disrespected my son. There was also a table of 4 older ladies sitting next to our table and they shook their head and said it was ridiculous. I am not usually one to review negatively and being this is over such a small item I wasn’t going to, however this is disgusting behaviour and the staff should be reprimanded. I will never shop at Muffin Break ever again. I wish I could give a 0.

Staff rolled her eyes at me when I asked for my muffen to be warmed up the whole place is a mess with it being run by teenagers and staff who look so sad and depressed. Will not come again.

Been coming here for years, its my go to place to get my green tea or hot choccie. They also have really nice chai lattes. The staff is always friendly and their choc chip muffins and the little choc truffle balls are amazing! I also love that they have an extra large sized coffee cup, no other cafe has it except for Starbucks. It was why I started coming to Muffin Break in the first place.

Young lady on cash register was the only staff member who cared. The rest didn’t!
The girl barista served other customers while making my coffee and on asking for ‘Eat In’ was given takeaway cup and paper bag. Everyone else had ceramic cups and plates.

The muffin was cold after asking to be heated.

The staff had absolutely no product knowledge. Couldn't tell us what drinks were available. We ordered a croissant and received a toasted samwhich. Staff spoke very little English.

Got a cheesecake slice today, first half was pretty good, tasted alright, not the best cheesecake I've ever had. But, with the second half I started eating, there were at least 6 or so pieces of just gelatinous bits in it. I took a bite, and it had this hard, gelatine-like bit, of which I had to spit out because it was disgusting. Took another bite, 2 more bits, then to cure my curiosity, I picked through the last few bites I had and I pulled out a further 3, maybe 4 bits. It was absolutely disgusting and really turned me off ever getting anything from there ever again. Choclate truffles I got were pretty nice, but overall such a disappointing experience. Definitely never spending my money there again, yuck.

Consistent, quick and best darn coffee I've ever had.
Morning crew be doing above and beyond

Went in for a coffee & muffin today I absolutely loved it. I had a medium flat white & a share the dignity muffin that was to die for. I will definitely be going back for more:)

The manager and the team there are so lovely. It’s been a hard time with lockdowns for so many places but they’re always open and their muffins are really fresh and the coffee has been great and they make it really well. Definitely going every time I’m in Geelong.

Stale muffins on sale 2 for $5.
Great if you need a door stop.
If you are going to open your business during covid at least offer fresh product.
If that's too hard close.
Damage done, won't be back.still choking on your 3 day old door stops.

I called this store two weeks in advance to organise 24 Muffins. The owner of the Geelong Westfield took the order and stated to pick any muffins of the menu. I call a day before to confirm the order she then said we need a minim of 6 per flavour and was very rude. I reconfirmed my order at 5PM the day before. On the say I called at 9am to see when pick up would be ready. She said there where no orders even though I placed the order over two weeks previously and called less then 12 hours ago! She was very unprofessional and denied knowing anything even though I contact her over the phone many times! After calling head office I was told she made the order for some random store in MELBOURE! The owner was very abrupted and angry she said she can not help and will just cancel the order. Finally she agreed to make the muffins however, we got them 2 hours after the time she agreed on less the 12 hours ago! The muffins where terrible, undercooked and bland! The so called choc chip had only 2-3 chocolate pieces on the top and all the muffins where under cook and less then average tasting! Honestly the worst customer experience I have had in a decade!

Went to muffin break, bought 2 muffins. They were that dry wasn't worth eating. Very disappointed.
