Mt Buffalo Caravan Park reviews
37Absolutely amazing stay, management could not be anymore accommodating and the park and facilities are perfect and extremely well up kept, look forward to coming bac
This place for our family is one of the best places on earth. Not only for the picturesque park itself but the staff and team members make this place to stay at an absolute pleasure.
Thanks again for your hospitality Glen and Andrea.can't wait again until next year.cheers - Andrew & family
Stayed over the Easter break for 9 days was a perfect location loved the park.will definitely go back
Friendly staff and atmosphere
Fantastic caravan park to stay. Stayed in Cabin 1 and it was very clean and modern. Staff were very polite and helpful. Good quiet location. Will go there again!
We just came home from an awesome long weekend at Mt Buffalo Caravan Park
Clean amenities and great camp kitchens
Toilets and showers were so clean
Will definitely be back
Lovely staff. Camp twice on a tent already, been last year and recently this month. We love the river as children requested to go back there. Bath rooms and toilets are clean. Great to have a microwave, kettle, BBQ area if you forgotten your cooking supplies. Good size kitchen to dine in. Park probably need alittle upgrade. Expected as it can be noisy during the night with some people enjoying a laugh or getaway with friends. But slept well. Friends stayed at a cabin, as they had younger children. Great price and worth the price for a cabin stay too.
10am checkout for a campsite is a little tough, especially when check-in is 2.11am works be far more reasonable. 10am leaves no time to let the tent dry out from overnight dew.
Lovely river.
Disappointing stay.
Very noisy from one particular group in a permanent van until early hours. Hard to sleep. No consideration.
Most people with dogs were great but always some who are not responsible owners concerning barking.
Our site was under a tree dropping honey dew from aphids, making tent and chairs constantly sticky.
My family were camped on very nice sites along the river where there seemed to be none of these problems.
Just bad luck I guess.
Beautiful surroundings, very clean and ambient camp kitchen picnic areas. Alpine trees and accessible river.
Absolutely LOVED being able to enjoy the live music just after NewYearsEve, talented+friendly local musos. Much appreciated! Only thing was that it was a hot+afternoon, so perhaps it may have been better set up besides the river. Thanks!
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this park and it's close access to the Rail Trail.
Very relaxing with its beautiful trees and river!
Owners very accomodating and helpful
Stayed on camp site and paddocks.
Good spot. Not too much on offer for toddlers and preschool kids.
Will go back.
Strange caravan park and worst new management. Having seen what some all year round parks in NSW and many parks in NZ offer Mt Buffallo caravan park was disappointing The new management was a bad dictatorial style. Alcoholic narcissist meter was going off screen straight away (feeling compassion level so low one comment was careful don't get a heart attack if you have to chat with them). I checked with a suggestion that the games room hadn't been cleaned which could if fixed make it easier for children to play and they were instantly into vindictive hunt down style. Instant stupidly thoughtless contrary accusation that it must be me. Extra costs and regulations were introduced etc and even one member of the management group that when dumping on their personal dump near the camp ground field took the time out without much reason to drive through where we were walking around under some trees towards a walkway. Access to facilites was removed which long term annuals and the earlier management had said annuals always had access to. Respect for campers seemed low. I shushed one of the new management group down when he was getting louder and repeating himself without listening and he went into a tyrant like rage with a camping couple sleeping only 10 metres away.
They eventually put a sign on the games room door for 2 weeks saying closed for renovations and eventually cleaned the piles of flies and wrappers. After a long weekend it took a week or so to clean the games room.
Annuals often said most of the things the new management say are stories from the safety of the regularly used sprays to where the sewage drains under all the annuals and camping ground into the Buckland river before the "swimming hole" junction on one side. They may be the management that redesigned the swimming junction from a flat river junction to a vertical pile of rocks as they were often dumping piles of rocks into the river.
Re reply; The review was for the years earlier 2019 to 2020. The covid year was quite busy and we were trying to sell. The owners then were so thoughtless they didn't even make any allowance to annuals for lack of access to the park during bushfires and covid. We sold up at a loss and it looked hard for annuals to sell. Apparently those managers weren't involved in the park management in mid 2020. I couldn't find any sites saying that the park sold. The factual descriptions of experiences at the park during that time and of the room above the toilets with a television and some arcade games that repeatedly make noise could still be useful for general information about the park. The comments relating to the swimming hole were just confirming other comments which mention it is awkward and adding our experience. Hopefully that places the review in context in relation to any current management.
Beautiful spot by the river. Stayed here 2 years ago and returned to the same cabin. Very clean and Morden. Has everything you need and well priced.
We had our car breakdown during a trip to this caravan park & the owner was so helpful in moving our van & storing it for free while we had the car repaired (took several weeks for engine replacement), They are new owners with plans to improve the park even further. Will definitely return whenever we travel to the area.
We had an amazing time here over the Easter weekend. There is a great community sense here and everyone is really friendly towards each other. The kids loved having a river to float down in their inflatable rings. The beautiful big willow trees provided shade and scenery but they did drip tree sap. Nothing that didn’t just rinse off with water though. We did happen to come during the week where there were wasps slowly moving through the area but they didn’t make any threats just part of nature. We will definitely be back next year!
I’m here at the moment. Loud obnoxious drunks yelling and playing dance music at high volume in a full park at 11 pm and last night people were still yelling, arguing and partying at 1 am in multiple groups. Full of boguns with no respect for anybody else. There is no management of this park whatsoever. Can’t wait to leave.
Nice grass sites we spend two days being rained on constantly by tree sap and being attacked by hundreds of wasps the entire time I understand that the wasps may be out of the owners control but we could have been warned while booking we left early after getting stung
One of the best caravan parks with great helpful staff. Very clean amenities and disabled facilities were top notch.
We absolutely love staying here.
This is our little home away from home.
With all the facilities you need.clean toilet blocks, laundry, great park area for big and little kids and great river views and access to suit all ages.
Can't wait to get back here soon.
