MSAC Basketball reviews
18Clean and large space, great for kids due to the swimming pool and basketball courts to shoot at
I play school basketball here whey morning, the energy in the hall is great, courts feel maintained and there is enough room for team meetings.
Whilst the basketball courts are great, it is very noisy. They could do to add acoustic tiles or something in the roof.
Great venue but why on Friday nights are there so many adults yelling, demeaning, bullying children? And condoned by officials and parents to boot! Time to get out of the 1970 & 80s with this approach, don't you think?
Melbourne Tigers run very professional operations of training here. Points for cafe taking 50 cents off for keep cup, and good coffee too. Power sockets in the Cafe windows great for working while waiting to pick up. Best transport is by push bike. 1 hour free inside carpark ticket can get a bit ridiculous if people repark. Free parking on other side of tram tracks.
Great courts and plenty of them. Nice facilities parking is expensive especially if you are there only to play 1 game of basketball
Great facilities where you can play almost every sport. Been personally coming here for the past 6 years and will continue to do so
Probably the best indoor basketball courts in Melbourne. However the booking service makes it difficult at times. Not sure why they can't go back to the original way of paying at the counter. It never goes past the restriction limit
Terrible set-up for badminton. Not enough lights are turned on for social plays. Doesn't match to its reputation as Australa's premium sporting facility.
The installations are fine, parking there is messy. MSAC is located close to Albert Park and during rush hours it is a nightmare to go there.
I have been going to MSAC for as long as I can remember. I've played in many different grades across several days of the week. Depending on what day of the week you are playing, there can be different organisations running the competition. Each approaches things in their own way so you try them out to see which one suits you and your team best. During regular world situations they have casual entry during non competition times which has generally led to fun pick up games.
The facilities are great, 10 courts with large quality change rooms. They have some new and improved dividers and benches for the courts, which is a very welcome addition.
Professional and caring Covid-19 testing by all the team. Hup hup hoorah for the heros at the frontline.
Large CYMS competition run at MSAC. Overall good levels of competition and friendly players. Organisation still uses paper score sheets which is a bit outdated and wasteful
Not much spacing between courts. Parking spaces are less during the events. Bit difficult to locate as well
Always a place to enjoy the games we play. Usually full but I'm sure you can find some opening to play up
For players it's $5 and spectator it's $3
Parking is free for the first hour and then it's something like 5 per hour I think.
Car parking is tricky.it's gated with booms. You need card pay. Does not accept cash. Caught me out as it doesn't do pos. All tap and go
Good place to meet up with my boys check them out at @dankmemes and @AsmanOsgovibic.top notch guys check out their reviews
Courts need some love. Backboards look worse for wear. Not up to par with other basketball centres
