Mrs Pho House reviews
18 Wanted to visit for some time and finally made it!
Food was delicious as expected, pancake was on the charred side but still ok.
Thank you.
If you want to have some tasty food (I recommend takeout) and not looking for any sort of ambience then go for it. Reasonable prices and tasty food. Service was rude and poor. Ambience felt rundown and needing an upgrade badly.
A cold evening along spicy beef noodle with beef shank is a treat. The spice hit is on another level.
Chicken fried rice was amazing. (Must have)
Had Banh Mi & Rice paper rolls with chicken which were great.
Ordered pho tonight specifically said no onion no garlic due to allergies the broth was full of chunks of onion. Placed my order over the phone wasn't supplied an order number or time frame just hung up on. The meat was full of gristle would never recommend.
Vermicelli grill pork is nice with spring rolls. Chilli oil is very nice. Sugar cane prawns with vermicelli sheets is average. 3 sugarcane sticks is too little. 4 should be better.
Good pho, lovely service, good banh mi. Paid $27 for beef and beef ball pho and pork banh mi.tad bit more than i’d usually pay.
Ordered via Uber eats and we were excited to try their BBH as it’s not a dish we can get locally. The broth is way too sweet and doesn’t taste remotely like BBH. The noodles used for this dish was not the right noodles either. Beef was very tough and chewy and not pleasant to eat
Absolutely delicious. Super flavourful and fresh! Really authentic feeling family run restaurant.
Nice, simple, and an amazing flavour of Vietnam. The people are spectacular with their services as well
Drove over 30 minutes to get an egg coffee as advertised on their website, menu and instore board. Only to be told they don't actually do egg coffee.
Absolute good food right there. Had spicy beef slices and shanks and beef ball noodles. The flavor is just amazing. Nothings better than having hot and spicy soup in a cold evening. Will surely come back. Cheers!
Was hungry and found myself in Bundoora with the dumplings restaurant closed. Luckily I found this place as Pho is always a good choice on a cold day. I ordered the sliced beef pho. The sliced beef was good and generously served in the bowl. The stock was tasty and not oily or greasy. The pho was served with lots of bean shoots, mint and fresh green chilli. The meal felt quite healthy.
Stunning dishes. Been here for several time now. This time tried slice beef and beef shank Bun Bo for lunch. The aroma broth was on point with its spicy kick. It’s really spicy but Vietnamese Ice Coffee was a savior this time.
Now i’m addicticted to both!
Recommend place to eat
The vermicelli bowl with pork and spring rolls is that type of take away you can have and not feel guilty and Mrs Pho's house does it really well. If you are starving, you might need a side dish but generally it does the job hunger wise!
Such a lovely small cozy place for a nice meal. Food is absolutely delicious but I’ll say meals are on a higher side for a Vietnamese restaurant ($17 a dish). Had beef pho, spicy beef noodles and their broken rice is super yummy
Doing their best with minimal staff. Their pho broth was delicious! Can call ahead and pick up order later. Good range of the Vietnamese hits- pho, banh mi and bun bo hue. Prices reasonable. Would recommend!
Tried the Beef Pho and the Grilled Pork Banh Mi. Both were fresh and well priced for the serving size. The chillies in the Pho weren't very hot but apart from that no complaints! Disappointed there is no Crispy Pork Banh Mi option but the grilled pork was still delicious. Overall a great meal.
Great new restaurant. We have been to all of the other vietnamese restaurants in Bundoora, this place easily outshines them. Best Beef Pho and Spring Roll Vermicelli with chicken we have had outside of Vietnam!
Great prices, Great portion sizes and Great taste. My new favorite lunch spot.
