Mr Rhino supermarket and Liquor 犀牛超市 reviews
21The attitude of the staff is very bad. They play with their mobile phones at work and ignore the customers. They are very rude to the customers! Rubbish
Rude staff, product rotten, and we ask for an exchange, but then a male staff with dyed hair answers with a rude and irritating attitude.
To clarify this, we did not receive a receipt while purchasing, and we explained this in the very beginning. The lady who first hosted us was very friendly and understanding. She agreed us to provide the transaction page, and we eventually provided the transaction page.
It is just the attitude of that young man who keeps murmuring that we might come back and argue with him next time. We wouldn’t want to come back and forth if we had got a fresh product in the beginning.

The service is great! Plenty of goods! Then the shopping experience is particularly good! 5 star praise ooooo!
Had a fantastic shopping experience here:) The store was clean, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of products, and checkout was quick. I also appreciate their commitment to sustainability. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend.
Bought tofu (expiring on 18th Nov) from this supermarket on 15th Nov, but turns out to be sour when I got home, tried to call them but no luck
Although I got full refund for the moldy bread as per picture, I'd never go to this shop anymore as there was not even a "sorry".
I adjusted the rate to 2 stars. If you want to get $10 back, just let me know and I can forward your request to ACCC for the judgement. This is your MUST do, not your preference.
Slightly recommend this store. Hope Mr.rhino could do better. 1. Missing price label. Some of products have no corresponding price labels. 2. The price you actually pay might not matching the price label. I bought a product which was 7 dollar each suggested by price label, but I paid 9 dollar each at the counter. “The price label was not updated in time”, explained by the staff.
Mismatching price tag and product. If you don’t pay attention to that, you will buy lots of experience products then you thought
Judgemental staff. The mumbling was 'all this beer, too much, too much' for a carton (24) of Coronas. Why have a carton if you don't want to sell it?
25/9/2020 girl serving is rude and checked my partner's note other day and my 20 dollar note today yet did not do same to Asian customers. She was still checking note 10 minutes later as I returned because my drink lid showed expired date. My drink was handled by 2 different people who tried to convince me that was Asian version of production date so I had it thrown away and purchased another after all the touching.
I don't mind them checking our LEGITIMATE notes but not in such a rude manner and everybody's money should be checked, not just non Asians as we witnessed.
She also kept speaking in her language after I complained while we stood there, extremely rude.
Will try to avoid going here.
The supermarket is next to my apartment and it’s really convenient for me to get food during the Melbourne lockdown. Especially, I like several Asian alcohol sold there. But sometimes the price can be higher than other Asian supermarkets; so it really depends.
Bad service attitude.bad experiences. The price fluctuates so fast that the order price is totally different from the payment price.
Person at the counter at 26/1/20 7pm was very rude to customers. If she hates her job then quit, no need to be rude to customers.
No longer need to go to Box Hill for my Asian grocery needs - fresh meats and vegies of great variety for Chinese cooking
Large variety of Asian food and items. Plenty to choose from and aisles of goodies and snacks available to buy. Prices are comparatively cheaper than other local Asian markets.
Great range of products in a spacious, clean and well lit store. Stocks a lot of stuff that other Asian grocers don't, but location wise it's just a bit out of the way to get to. I appreciate the bubble tea stall adjacent to the market, I think its a part of them possibly? Some products I was looking for was hard to find and I had to ask a staff to lead me to it, and turns out it was at the bottom of a completely unrelated product and unlabelled, but I'm just glad I managed to find it. I would say service was 5/10, they were nice and helpful but made mistakes in counting change and didn't really ask if I needed help even after I had circled the shelves looking for about 5 mins.
(Had a bit of laugh at the 18+ curry lol, but no one could explain to me why it was prohibited)
Friendly staffs and variety range of product. But if you want to be more competitive, need to adjust the overall price I guess. Check the price in the groceries near your shop.
The girl selling milk tea had a bad attitude n absolutely had no idea what customer service meant. Sooooo rude n won’t get there again
Finally an Asian supermarket in Melbourne CBD that isn’t tiny and has a decent selection of Chinese goods.
My new local asian grocer. Great variety and a lot of new stuff from time to time. Also the snacks at the cafe isnt too bad as well.
