Visited for breakfast during our stay at Crown Metropol. Staff were friendly and the selection of the buffet was varied and high quality.

Have had buffet breakfast here this morning, and will for the rest of the week, I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service from the staff in the restaurant was just incredibly good!

Breakfast buffet was so good with a big variety of food.
Quue was too long on Sunday's morning, we had to wait for 20 minutes before we were seated.

Dinner 3/6/23 was pleasantly surprising. Dinner reservations were left late so this was one of the few options available at crown on a Sat night. Highlights were the Duck which was cooked perfectly and the pear, Parmesan and rocket salad was very good. With the price point as high as it is for mains we expected the simple bread accompaniment to be complimentary not charged but other than that the food quality was decent.

We were there for a quick drink on a Saturday.

The waitress' attitude was unnecessary and just gave off a rude vibe.

Perhaps it was a bad day. Nevertheless, this shouldn't be passed on to the customers.

Beef cheek was to die for.
Customer service was great.
Very pleasant dining experience.

Always fantastic service, food & atmosphere - staff are amazing! Always polite and very adaptable surrounding allergens as well - couldn’t recommend a better restaurant.

I have eaten there before and loved it. Booked for my family for Christmas it was so average the menu was different I don't think I will go again.

Food was delicious! Waitress was great and very helpful. I would recommend Mr Hive to anyone looking for a classy atmosphere and quality food.

I liked the food.didn't love it.but I think that's just down to me. Next time I'd try the beef Cheek instead of the gnocchi (just didn't feel like red meat that day). The gnocchi were soft and the quality of the food was amazing.but it just wasn't my taste.
The dessert on the other hand, the Earl Grey brulee was seriously delicious!
. I'll be back for another show and meal for sure!

One of us ordered the $50 a person breakfast buffet and you don't even get linen napkins

Whilst the other ordered "pancakes" or more like pancake cakes. I felt the service was slow, expresso type coffee tasted like a pod type coffee.

Not somewhere we would return but can now say we did experience a $50 per person breakfast buffet.

Amazing all round! And our server Jake was superb, went above and beyond and not only noted our food allergies but triple checked them and also checked if the bread they serve would be okay, and ensured our food was kept away from all contamination possibilities in the kitchen by speaking with the chef directly, your service was perfection at its best massive thumbs up to this young man you’re going places I can assure you.

Absolutely 5 Stars from my partner and I. We had Dinner here, Various FOOD selection deliciously cooked to perfection. Excellent fresh presentation with mouth watering flavours. So filling. The desserts are fantastic too. Eat all you can. Trust me…don’t eat for a week prior to attending lol. Love it here. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you Mr. Hive.

Professionally executed modern Australian cuisine with perfectly cooked proteins, but some unseasoned components, and a jus reduced almost to Vegemite status, Efficient but impersonal service, and a slightly sticky table with badly checked cutlery.

Excellent breakfast option
Food quality and variety 9/10
Service 9/10
Only issue was it can get busy
A must try.
