Mr Grubb @ Oakdene

Customer service was good but unfortunatley, the Food was not.
The garlic and cheese bread for entree was soft and oily. The main salad had fried cauliflower and it really spoit the dish. It was extremely oily.
The table was dirty and sticky and we were seated in a position where staff where constantly walking past.
We were going to stay for desert, however, we didn't want to stay.
We don't recommend the Bistro for dinner.

We are always amazed at how quickly that kitchen serves up its tremendous meals. Steaks are always superb.

Great setting and excellent service. There was too much batter on the children’s meals and no salad which is disappointing when we are trying to teach our children healthy eating, The adult meals were very good.

The food, service, helpfulness and friendliness of Mr Grubbs was excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a better time date or place for our Book Club meeting. Thank you

Love Mr Grubb. Visited a few years ago with a friend. Stayed at Oakdene accommodation this time and it made a weekend away on Bellarine Peninsula. Had lunch and dinner at Mr Grubb last Saturday. Enjoyed the pork belly for lunch and pumpkin and potato gnocchi for dinner. Bang bang chicken is awesome, but wanted to try different dish this time. Mocktail was so refreshing and their Shiraz was super too. Can't fault Mr Grubb. Meals are delish

On our first visit to Mr Grubb, we were pleasantly surprised on the space in the restaurant and the great selections available on the menu. The service was very friendly and prompt. The food and wine was great and we totally enjoyed our meals. We even splurged and had dessert. We will definitely be returning to Mr Grubb.

Delish! Our first time visiting after driving past many times. Our meals we beautiful and the service was delightful. Such a treat, we will definitely be back!

Excellent steak and mash, the mushroom sauce was magnificent.
We also enjoyed the slow cooked lamb, pulled pork. The place is kid friendly and has friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

Mr Grubb is part of a bigger property with a winery, some tourist attractions, accommodation and an events venue?

The restraint itself has two large areas for seating, indoors with two rooms, and a large outside space on a wooden decking. On a Summers’s day, outdoors is a must!

Staffing was not an issue, a low waiter to customer ratio meant our orders were taking quickly and needs met.

Food lunch options are a mix of seafood, pizzas a and grazing boards. Recommendations for the red meat or pasta over the grazing boards. Wines to match.

Dined here before & had similar service.seems like standard. When u are rudely told we don't open until 530 when u arrive at 525 there's a bad 1st impression & I've had better food at a standard pub.

The absolute highlight of our culinary holiday in Bellarine! I can't recommend a single dish as they were ALL delicious. With 7 of us dining here twice, entree main and dessert, we got to enjoy half the menu and wouldn't fault anything. The duck springrolls and vegan sticky date pudding were my favourites though.

1 meal out of the three was nice (fish and chips) but the 2 burgers were very average. Chips quite overcooked and terribly salty. Dry thin sliced chicken snitzel and very very cardboard style crumbs. Not restaurant quality.
The other burger was terribly salty as well.
Churros not very nice either. I mentioned it was disappointing and was offered a replacement meal. I refused and paid for what I had. I don’t feel it was the cooking but the overall quality of the food. Restaurant had very few diners so hope they can do a review and improve. Lovely staff and service.

Expensive drinks.but Place has potential the manager she is not very friendly and stuffed my drink order up. Jack Daniels n dry, she sent out a Johnny Walker n coke grrrr.the food is ok a little bit on the expensive side for what you get but maybe that's everywhere these days.the young lady Jess was amazing and friendly, she took the time to make sure we enjoyed our night, because of her I went from a 2 to 3 star.

Had a wonderful birthday lunch at Mr Grubb with family for a birthday celebration. Food was delicious and the staff were friendly and polite. Would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back for lunch again

All meals were great except the bang bang chicken this time, menu states it is 1/2 chicken char grilled, wasn’t char grilled and it was a quarter portion, found to be a rubbery steamed with marinade on top, would have been a different chef, told waiter didn’t seemed to acknowledge or care to much, disappointed this time round all other meals were great

Have eaten here many times before but last night they must have run out of seafood. There were 3 seafood marinara ordered and in dish was 3 prawns, 3 pieces of fish no mussells or anything else. The flavour was nice, but over priced for what you got.
