Mountain View Motel, Corryong

Great place to stay in the Alpine and snowy mountains region. Friendly and welcoming owners and staff. Very clean room, comfortable beds and nice big bathroom. Breakfast provided. Food and drinks available at walking distance.

I’ve stayed here a few times, always appreciated the location, cleanliness and views of… a mountain. Makes sense.

It’s easy to find, simple, near a nice pub / restaurant and close to the alpine way.

They also run a simple, but satisfying breakfast (toast and cereal, etc). Good to fill up on before hitting the snow.

Location is great. So close to the Alpine way and the snow (well over an hour but good enough). Room wasn’t completely clean (random water bottle next to the bed, rubbish in the bin) but not terrible. Super powerful shower, very hot. Cost around $200 for family of 4. Fair price given it included breakfast. Just basic toast and cereal but it did the job. Lots of dinner options just a short drive away. Great option for those wanting to be close to the snow.

Nice view, clean room, bed with warmer is suitable for winter season. Hot water and water pressure is great.
Bathroom need to be upgraded.

Great value motel, handy location and great views. Great free continental breakfast in great breakfast room. Cereal, fruit salad, yogurt, coffee, tea and toast.

Made an honest mistake with my booking and tried to rectify.
No help what so ever with a refund. Confirmation email went to spam folder so can't comment on the level of I/T security of their website booking function that i'm putting my credit details into. Even though i arrived on the incorrect day (early) concierge did not provide any information as to whether i had a future booking for the following week. Can't cancel something you have no record of booking.

Offered "credit" but no refund, then offered credit to anyone else besides me.

Needless to say i wont be staying there again and anyone i talk to in an organisation of 1000's will be advised against it.

Great view, great value and great location. The pool was an added bonus on a hot day! I would be glad to stay here again.

Do a fair of travelling around on bike trips and this is the best value, cleanest and friendliest place we’ve encountered. Anywhere. Very comfortable, convenient location, nice setting, breakfast included. What more could you want? Thank you Vic!

We came for 3 nights from Sydney to visit our son who moved there 9 months ago. The room was very comfortable and the lady was very friendly and accommodating. We will always stay here on our return visits.

Well priced rooms, clean and tidy. We had 2 adults and 2 kids, plenty of room for all in the family room. Had an issue with booking (my fault) which Rhonda quickly resolved, and I was very happy with the outcome.

On a road trip, having been to quite a few accommodations along the way, this has been on top of the list for places to stay.

The room was well serviced, heated bed, accompanied with kettle, toaster, iron and board plus a large flat TV.

There is a free simple breakfast included with different cereals, juices and toast options or you can purchase a more elaborate one if you prefer.

The staff were lovely and helpful, definitely recommend if in the area.

Only regret is not trying the pool as it's winter.

Very bad experience, they are charging for minor cleaning and dont tell customer beforehand. Nothing extraordinary.

A cosy motel in the cute town of Corryong. Stayed for 2 nights so we could explore the snow - only 1.5hr to Thredbo via Alpine Way (depending on conditions). Also next door to the Bottom Pub which does great food!

Service was friendly and catered to our needs without issue. Rooms were modern and comfortable with large TVs (although it was placed in an odd position). The Mountain View room was perfect for viewing gorgeous sunsets and waking up to frost covered paddocks.

The included continental breakfast was a lovely touch to get us started each day.

Overall, a wonderful stay that I would recommend for those looking to travel between Sydney and Melbourne the scenic way or looking for affordable accommodation near the snow!

We just rocked up and luckily still have room available. No mountain view available but that was ok as it was kinda late when we got there to see the view anyways. Parking are in front of the room. The lady is friendly at the reception. Didnt get a chance to have breakfast here but was told its cold breakfast such as cereals. Rooms have under blanket which is nice for winter season, but the aircon heating doesnt seems to be working well. The family size room is not bad although there were only 2 of us in there at that time. We stayed there the night before driving to Thredbo to snowboard. Apparently most people that was staying there at the time was there for a few days driving back and forth to Thredbo. I guess this way is cheaper to do in terms of accommodation when weighing the cost but its still almost 2 hours winding road drive to Thredbo one way.

We went to the mountains view hotel for a long weekend. It's a 1.5 hour drive to Thredbo. We hired a 3 bed room. It was quite cold when we arrived. The lady in the reception was very helpful. The room was quickly warmed up by the a/c. Nice tidy, cozy room with many appliances including cattle, microwave, hair dryer and a fridge. Nearby, like 2 km away IGA you can buy groceries etc. If you want 3 doors down, you can dine have a couple of drinks in the local bar/restaurant. In the morning, you can have your continental breakfast (bread, cereals, butter, jams, etc) or order cooked meal (eggs, sousage etc). All and all it was a pleasant short stay for us.

Unfriendly Service, Rooms we’re unhygienic and Smelt Horrible! They Charged Us Twice and when i alerted them They tried to Deny it until I Threatened to go to the Authorities Then They Apologised and called it a “Mistake” Super Dodgy. Not Worth the hassle of Booking here!

Comfy older style motel. Very friendly service and just a short walk to my favourite Corryong pub. Recommended!

I had a family room although I was alone. Views from the room and from bbq area or pool are spectacular
Breakfast was sufficient. Recommend adding a microwave in the breakfast area to warm up the milk. Everything else was otherwise great
Wasn’t expecting iron and hairdryer in the room but that was a good bonus.
