Mount Waverley Secondary College Junior Campus

This school if I can even call it that, is the outright most hateful place i have ever been and i would never let my kids go here. If I even have kids after One teacher kick me in the balls so hard. I hated every living second here and wish this on my worst most hated person on earth. This school is the school that would have shooters if it was in the USA.think God for the gun laws here or I might not have been alive from the kids at this school. Overall, it gets a 1 start. (don't let your kids go here if you have kids or if you like them a little)

The school says they have high values and respect, however this is respectfully not true. The racism and hate that some teachers use to control teachers is shocking, I as a ex-student would like to warn parents, guardians and mainly students of many racist teachers in the school and how they could prepare for a racist attack, it's real, it has happened to me before. Les Mullens is a main threat and a harm to society, many students I know have being targeted. The school says they have great respect and much more but it's not true. To summarize everything some teachers have respect and some simply don't. It is absolutely shocking at how unacceptable this school is and I hope all the teachers that have respect for students and treat students with a normal level of respect stay at the school, but for all the teachers that thought they could use racism to control students I hope they leave and never come back. Many ex-students like myself our stunned by the appealing manners of this school. None of the teachers even teach properly especially Les Mullins, completely unacceptable.

Cliquey, some good teachers, had a miserable time mostly and considered suicide at 12 from the extreme level of bullying, nothing was really done about it, not properly anyway.

A quarter of the teachers are good and passionate. Another quarter are depressed. The fact that the newer teachers are a hundred fold more
passionate than the older teachers says something about what it's like to work there. Pls hire some welbeing specialists for staff and students. Maths and Science was a blast though.

Epic school there is very little stress involved in this school they help students in need PLUS they have seperate campuses definitely the school to go to if you want a local education.

It's a great school, but just remember that math general is down the road.and watch out for that Soutar jawline it might slice your argument into an off topic conversation.

Went to school here for two years when I was younger. There was a social hierarchy that took place which was very intimidating to a young mind.
Also, in a year 7 science class we had an assignment where we had to find insects/bugs and “gas” them (a jar with acetone and tissues) or kill them some other way. Now looking back on this I find that really bizarre. The children at the school were also very out there and a lot of them were bullies.

As a parent I have a very good experience dealing with the school.

The front office staff are friendly. The staff & teachers I have dealt with are responsive and supportive. I have been dealing quite often with the current Head of Senior School and he is alway so helpful, understanding, responsive and supportive.

My friend Roger goes here and he is cool therefore this school is cool. Livvy also goes here and I've known her for about 8 to 9 years therefore I've known this school for 8 to 9 years as well. I don't go to this school but the cow and pig fields are nice.

8/10 would learn here again but I have never been to the school.

Open plan classrooms is a good modern step forward for the school, but unfortunately progression comes only to this far more aesthetic campus, not the disrepaired senior campus.

Bad coordinators and very stressful work. And students at this school is rude and teachers don’t understand anything. If u send ur kids to this school that means u are abusive bye bye

Rubbish school genuinely, boys toilets are constantly full of graffiti, urinals are blocked and full of urine, cubicles do not have locks or let alone have working locks. At one point there was no doors in boys toilets. The school representatives have made claims that the school does not have the funds and financial means to repair and refurbish the toilets, yet they have spent thousands on a vertical garden that has died. Disciplinary enforcement is hypocritical and a detriment to student education. Merely hours ago a student was publicly shamed for having a negatively described report. This student was threatened to be expelled. Disciplinary periods (detentions, suspensions and exclusions) have been repeatedly given out during examination periods. Students are not made aware of changes in their schedule and are reprimanded for lacking the knowledge to make themselves present at, or consent to, certain events. Students are currently restricted from certain areas in recces periods due to littering. Yet the school has implemented no extra bins into these areas.

I have been learning at this school for 1 year (I'm in year 7). The school is absolutely amazing with great facilities and 2 gigantic campuses, junior and senior which you can compare to private schools such as Scotch, Haileybury and St. Kevins and even Selectives schools such as Melbourne High and Macrob. The school hall is about as big as the MCG and can hold up to 10 people. The Toilets are cleaned every year making it look pristine and can correlate with shopping centre toilets. Everyone in the community is academically inclined and the average ATAR is usually 99.95. The school has a student welfare and an ubundance of highly skilled coordinators. The buildings are open spaced, no constricting walls so it helps students to learn the art of focusing and concentration, I have to say I have really improved my concentration skills and learning habits with the help of my excellent teachers. The language program is like no other, the teachers have been studying the language for decades like me. The current Japanese and German programs are top notch and we always have exchange students every week who come and go during the year. I came from a non-existent primary school so I thought it was the best for me to come here, at Mount Waverley Secondary College. After months of intense examinations, the interview process was very easy and straight forward. I have learned the whole Japanese language in 1 day, mastered maths skills beyond my knowledge and a whole new view of English and science skills and aspects. With this knowledge I think I’m already set for my dream of becoming a neurosurgeon or a garbageman. The teachers are extremely friendly and are very quick when marking your tests and assignments. If you’re lucky they might give you your test and marks back in term 5 or 6 depending on your teacher. You may need time to adjust to the extraordinary curriculum and get used to highly intellectual friends with iq’s of over 180, since it has enrichment, enhancement, advanced and accelerated work. It's absoloutly incredible that I got accepted after getting 5 below averages on my exams, I highly recommend trying out for this school for any highly intelligent people in the community and people who wish to become a garbageman or want to persue a career as a medical doctor with a pay of over $1 per day. This is an insane amount of money and can only be earned by going to a prestigious schools such as Mount Waverley, it’s self.

This is the worst school I have ever been to. It is traumatic, and a horrible place to be educated. I warn all parents to not take your children here, I would give it 0 starts, but that isn't possible. It is a horrible place, the teachers are rude, they don't care about anyone's educating, the way the act is sloppy, and the location is just horrible. Right off a main road, it is easy for children to get hit by cars. I only spent just more than a term there, but I can say, from my personal experience, it is singlehandedly, the most horrible place I have ever been in my life. If you are currently going there, leave, if you plan on going there, don't. There is also too many kids there, that it makes it hard for the very few teachers that are actually good, to work with children by them selves, and help them learn.

This school is well.really bad the teacher swear at the students the students have to read books that swear (if you hate swearing than this is not the school) sooooooooo many bullies the staff don’t care about the students and in the summer you have to wear a hat to be in the library if you don’t have a hat than you have to stay out side you’re going to get sunburnt and a detention.
