Mount Towrong Vineyard reviews
48Amazing setting, food selection and great wines, highlighted by amazing service and attention to detail by Nick the venue manager to make it a complete experience. Cheers Mark M
Beautiful wine, beautiful view.even beautiful food and the staff are so lovely too. I'll definitely be back
We went here for the wine tasting and the lunch and it was fantastic. We had a great time. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.
The team led by Nick were exceptional- Friendly, intuitive and knowledgeable. His team were engaged and appeared to really enjoy working at the Cellar Door. We throughly enjoyed the food, most notably the Chorizo/Borlotti Beans dish. A perfect crisp afternoon in the ranges, thankful this is a dog friendly venue- looking forward to our next visit.
We had a great visit to mount towrong. Fabulous food and service and great wines. Food was very well priced too.
Always enjoy a trip to Mt Towrong. Food and service always great, as is the dining area. Looking forward to returning again soon.
Came along for a casual Easter lunch… incredible food, service and wine and such a beautiful location… thank you for a great day out
Amazing winery tucked away in Mt Macedon.
Great wines fantastic food and most important service. Highly recommend this winery.
Enjoyed the meal and experience. Wine was fab. As a gluten free diner I found it hard to believe I was charged extra for removing the gluten items from my dish e.g asked for the gluten free olives which came with crackers on the menu if you ate gluten, so they gave me olives without crackers and charged an extra charge for it as was gluten free with no replacement. This was very disappointing. It’s bad enough to be charged extra for gluten free alternatives despite it being a medical diagnosis but to be charged extra for the restaurant saving money by not giving you part of the meal
My second time visiting and a wonderful experience again. Located just 15 minutes away, the winery offers a lovely selection of alcohol and foods at very reasonable prices. Great scenery, great staff and always a wonderful atmosphere. I’ll be back for a third visit.
Small boutique family run winery in the Macedon Ranges which offers great food accompanied with good wine. The service provided by staff was impeccable.
Whilst the menu is not extensive food presented was of great quality and good value for money. The picturesque views of the vineyard and surroundings of mount Macedon are breathtaking. A hidden gem which I highly recommend to visit. Will definitely be coming back.
We had a fantastic lunch at Mount Towrong Winery. The staff were very personable and so helpful - organizing one of the dishes to be made vegetarian for me and giving excellent recommendations. We had three savory dishes to share and both desserts. The dishes and wine were all excellent. The space itself is trendy without being pretentious, and the log fire heating the place was a great addition. No doubt we will be back the next time we are in Macedon. Thanks for your service!
Fantastic wine and awesome service, I really do feel like I'm somewhere special each time I go to Mount Towrong vineyard. It's great for families and for celebrating special events. I love it here.
Really lovely wine and great food. Had a bottle of Guovanni and ordered just about everything off the menu and shared it with the family. Great service and really lovely people. Thank you
Delicious antipasto went perfectly with the 2021 Giovanni. Followed with braised lamb, rosemary roasted potatoes with the bold and fulsome 2019 Lagrein. Shared a slice of chocolate tart and fruit tart for dessert which was gone in seconds. In short the food and wines were fantastic. Cosy atmosphere inside with nice views across the vineyard and bush up on the mezzanine level. Warm welcome from the friendly and attentive team. Everyone of us left satisfied and smiling. Thank you for a great autumn lunch. We'll be back.
Fantastic vineyard. Great food and wine and a wonderful team.
They were able to easily accommodate our large group and mutts as a last minute booking at one of their outdoor tables. They were also very sweet to set up an outdoor heater as they noticed some in the group looking a bit cold.
The food was superb with the dishes made for sharing, very good sized portions.
The chorizo was served with bread, essential for mopping up any saucy goodness left at the end.
Lamb shoulder was so tender in a beautifully deep broth.
Rosemary roast potatoes were so, so good, crunchy outside and fluffy inside. Generous serves.
The cauliflower salad with feta was tasty.
Their antipasto platters are a must have. Not the standard fare you see elsewhere and showcases the quality of local produce.
Their wines are lovely, so much so that we ended up buying a number of bottles to enjoy back home.
My gf (in a wheelchair) was turned around from entering the inside area during the rain as we were advised ‘our tables are full’… there was room aplenty. I was utterly shocked. The way they’ve got it laid out also means cars need to drive right past diners (diners literally sit on the road - you will see) to access parking - really quite weird. Ok if you enjoy notes of CRV or SUV exhaust in your wine. I would really not recommend.
Slippery Kalamata marinade
Sun soaked curly retriever
Multitasking with a singular focus
North Italy climate clinging to the side of mount Macedon
Car parks as full as Buckley
Lamb shoulder will have you six feet under
The symbiosis of Grappa, cacao and espresso
Devine Devine fine fine wine wine
Adam’s club for ever
Decor and staff are excellent. Didnt have any food just did wine tasting. A bit odd some outside the tables are right next to the dusty driveway. Reccomend the inside tables.
We went here for the wine tasting and the lunch
both good good
the wine tasting was done by a very educated lady
The food is only planned to be share platters and they were very tasty
I think we probably got a little bit more food than we should have but no complaints
the one thing we noticed about this venue compared to the others we visited for the day was that apparently you had to be a super model to get in
it is clearly the young cool place to go with your friends, this includes the staff.there is some interesting artwork both outside and inside the property and a weird layout that actually works
I don't know if it was the owner who took our bill at the end but all of the ladies that we were with were very impressed with him as being a very Dapper gentleman
Good job and worth a visit
