Motorcycle City reviews
23The gentleman who served me was very helpful and helped me select my new helmet. As a first time rider, it was a little uncertain what I should be looking for and what style works best for the Arthur 3+ scooter I’m using. The bloke took the time to show me my options and made sure the sizing was on point to be as safe as possible. Highly recommend as the pricing was very good too.
I originally went to Melbourne Scooter Repair…. Previously Brunswick now Clayton. Run for the hills on this moron. Beware! Motorcycle City solved 2 years of issues in 10 minutes and didn’t change me…. Good man, I will forever be loyal and grateful to this business. I can’t rate this man or business high enough
Nice blokes Craig and John here at Motorcycle City who answer emails promptly when sent to them about their products and who had a non-pushy sales approach during both email and direct communication. They're also selling a top-notch product in the scooter world with an outstanding warranty. Although on this occasion I didn't end up opting to buy the particular SYM scooter they had in stock (which was only due to a competitor brand being slightly more comfortable for my height in terms of ergonomics) I wouldn't hesitate to return to Motorcycle City for either accessories or servicing of my new ride.
Ignore the picture of the BMW in this listing, I asked if they could change my tyres over on a BMW GS F650, and was told that they couldn't do it.
Great service for a very competitive price.
John was really helpful when I was selling my motorcycle, advising what was required and helping me out with the Roadworthy.
I will certainly be going back.
Good on repairs serviced within a few hours
Prices were a bit expensive but modest for an inner city mechanic
Really reliable and honest garage. The staff provide a great service & always keep you informed. Highly recommended this place
I brought bike before few days. Bike is fantastic. Moreover they are giving very good service after sell the bike as well that's what I wanna.
I bought a used Suzuki GW250 from these guys and I can say that dealing with them was a pleasure, experienced professionals with the right advice.
Thanks for a great bike at a good price!
They are THE WORST mechanic in Melbourne.
My Vespa ET-4 was not starting. I called them and they took $50 for pickup. The dustance was 800m from their shop.
They told me that i need a new battery. I bough one from Peter stevens. I guve them new battery & they billed me $288. I really dont know why they charged so much.
Just after 2 days, my scooter was not starting again, i called them & they ask me $75. I told them 2 days before you asked $50 for pickup, then the guy on phone said, " ok, we will take $50, but we will come after 2 days"
U was really very upset with them. I watch videos on YouTube, and figure that that my spark plug was very dirty l, thats why it was not starting, i cleaned it & then my scooter starting issue was solved.
I wish i had done that before, insted of paying some illiterate mechanic $288.
They are Genuine and affordable with the work they do. I have had very bad experiences with the Melbourne scooter repair shop. I would recommend you guys to try this place here. This place is professional and genuine.
Don't go there, they are always rip off you. I just visited to repair for indicater of most cheap my scooter (sym 125cc $2500) and they replaced battery then charged $299 ridiculous.and they changed some parts of my bike without my opinion and then charged.
Staff were very helpful and informative, went in for a brake handle and they threw in 2 fuses for free.
The Motorcycle City staff are really helpful in looking after your motorcycle and stand behind what they sell you.
Very helpful bunch of dudes in here, other mechanics I've tried haven't come close to this place.
Very helpful guy, great service. Chased up a helmet for me but didn't make the sale in the end as they didn't have my size. Highly recommended for no BS advice. I'll be back.
Guy at the shop was awesome. Let me borrow some tools to do a quick repair to my bike as they don't do repairs on Saturday.
Really helpful considerate, even gave free side mirrors for my cbf 250 in order not to exceed budget, happy to go back again.
I strongly not recommend this shop. I went there for a starting problem on my scooter and this guy tried to sell me a 350$ service. He didn't even look on my scooter, start it or ask me the model. Then he tried to sell me a starter 300$, I found out later on eBay that spare cost 30$.
I am lucky to know a little bit about scooter and the solution was just to change the spar plug. It cost me 5 box.
He just tried to rip me off
I have never received a better service over the phone from a mechanic. Craig has given me incredibly useful information and honestly explained every aspect of my situation. HIs knowledge of the top of his head was extraordinary.
