So disappointed on so many levels. The service was appalling, staff were rude and whilst we enjoyed the sandwiches, they didn’t compete with the many other deli bars in Melbourne. Fortunately for this business they have no competition in this location. We were also hit with a $60 cancellation fee pp, when we asked if we could order deli options instead of eating in which was not communicated by your staff. For a small business I would hope you do more to service your customers and promote your reputation.

You can’t get any closer to Europe than this… what a blast we had the pasta was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection, back the next day for sandwich bar for an authentic Maltese sandwich…. Wow

Sandwiches were great. Really good value compared to the city. Sandwiches were quite large for the price. Would call again for sure! We also picked up some pastizzis which were very yummy.

Friendly service, always super busy but they are as fast as can be! Also head into the deli across the street where they sell fresh produce and merch.

Amazing deli, with too many things to try, we ended up coming twice in our stay in Torquay. Would recommend coming here.

Cute little retro sandwich shop hidden inside Torquay.
I personally thought the flavour for the hot dog was too intense but then the flavour on the sloppy Giuseppe wasn't flavourful enough.
Overall it was nice but I would like to try their other sammiches next time.
The Pastizzi was VERY GOOD! Must try for all.

This is the only place to get your breakfast and deli needs from when in Torquay. Totally worth the price and the wait for coffee when busy.

Definitely a hidden gem in Torquay. Decent coffee and authentic deli shop with flawless cannolis. Also I want to say the owner has top taste of interior design.

Coming from Melbourne and like Hector’s Deli? You’ll love Mortadeli. The sandwiches are to die for and it’s well worth getting up early for the breakfast menu.

In case you weren’t already sold the well stocked Deli across the plaza. Amazing range of products and a friendly and curious team. Once you’ve finished your breakfast sandwiches don’t miss the sourdough crumpets, freshly sliced salamis and variety of other European delights.

And just in case you thought they were going to stop there… aperativo hour is available in the afternoon with simple cocktails and down to earth snacks.

We went to see if the Hobz biz-zejt was as good as we had heard. Large serving and very authentic. Better than most that we have tried in Malta. Job well done.

This place is AMAZING! Feels just like walking into a NYC deli cafe and the food and coffee is very high quality. They even have a produce store and everything is fantastic. Definitely recommend.
