WARNING to future employees.
John contacted me by phone about an open position, he refused to discuss a single detail about the role, rate or hours and was very rude/abrupt from the outset. He expected me to make a 2 hour round trip knowing nothing about the role.
If you want to fill a position start by treating your future employees with respect rather than condescension.

For context I've worked in the industry for over 2 decades so don't assume it's just "industry standard" or being a bit rough around the edges. Fortunately here's the internet to leave a warning for the next guy.

Wow what a grumpy guy! No job too small definitely does not apply to these guys. Felt like all he wanted to do is get rid of me. Got a big reno coming up but wouldn't use these guys now if you paid me. Either pack it in and retire or leave your bad mood at home so your customers don't have to deal with it.

This place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I was rudely asked what I wanted and as soon as I walked in, when I asked a few simple question he told me he didn't care and pretty much told me to go away. I would definitely stay away from this place if you want to be treated with and kind of respect or getting some help finding the right material for your job.

We regularly use a timber product that is not so easy to find. Duncan keeps his ear to the ground to source out this product for us and lets us know when a batch becomes available.

The entire team are great and the service is awesome.

Disgusted in the way these people talk to you! Wow weeeeeeee. I was really shocked. Definitely won’t be back or recommend anyone to come here. I will be recommending other businesses. Definitely not this one.
