7years ago. The owner Simon goes by two surnames. I went into the store and asked for a price on a sand change for my filter. I had to pay half immediately and half on completion. I had to give my credit card details including the 3 digits on the back. These were written into a book on the counter, as they were entered I had full view of other customers details. This made me uncomfortable.
On the day of the sand change a technician turned up but during the process unbeknownst to me Simon also arrived. After they had finished they came to my door and told me they had entered my (closed) garage and helped themselves to pool chemicals that were stored there. Despite them knowing I was home nobody sought my permission to do this or anything else.
I had cash to pay the balance of the sand change but was told that was not acceptable and also there would be extra charges for the work (which I had not authorized). I said I did not want any money withdrawn from my account without receiving an invoice first. Simon assured me I would be notified of the amount before any money was withdrawn. I didn't trust him and I was feeling very uncomfortable with the way my bank details had been stored so I cancelled my card and then emailed to say I was not happy with what had been done without my permission and I would come into the shop to pay the balance in cash.
Later that day I had a call from Slimey.oops, I mean Simon saying that my card had been rejected. I asked if he had seen the email and he said no he had been out of the office all day.
So much for sending an invoice with the amount he claimed I owed, prior to withdrawing money from my account. I wonder how much he was planning to withdraw?
A month later the pipe to the sand filter started leaking.
Oh and after this review that I made 7 years ago (and am just updating now) I started receiving abusive text messages from an anonymous number.just a coincidence, I'm sure.

I went there today, first time.
I spoke to a lady, who was very knowlegable. She didnt try to upsell me, understood my problem. My experience with them so far is good. Sure their prices are a little higher than an online store, but the ability to speak to someone and availability of stock is in my opinion worth that extra.

How long a should an Astral Pump Last?
After spending $4000 on two Astral Pumps including a top of the line P520XT, after 20 months the bearings on the pump failed. MP&S helpful in getting pump repaired quickly but at a cost of $420. As the “second largest” seller of Astral equipment in Victoria I would have expected support to have this repaired by Astral at their expense for what looks to be poor quality control.

Unreliable, poor service and expensive credit card debits without permission. Too many technicians, with constant changes, who knew nothing about heat pump. Unprofessional and disorganised there was always an excuse… avoid this lot at all costs!

Every one including all there employees are waiting out the front of the shop. The owner hasn’t arrived or called any of the employees to let everyone know there not arriving or running very late. Very bad management and disrespectful to all people waiting

If your heading down to Mornington Pool and Spa make sure you speak with Ryan; as he is very knowledgeable and has always been super helpful with any issues that occur. Never tries to sell me a million things and my pool is crystal clear all the time. Thank you for being friendly and professional!

How many fake profiles & reviews can this guy make? He even leaves fake 1-star reviews on his competitors' listings. Wow. There's a reason he can't keep staff and everyone knows why.

Looking at some of these customers reviews people are definitely lying to you. I’ve had a brilliant experience with MORNINGTON pool and spa with great service and prices are the best you can find out there. Don’t go research MORNINGTON pool and spa is the best you can get! I’ve spent hours doing research and they definitely have the best prices. Love the staff so friendly and the the boss is so nice and great at dealing with customers. Also definitely go to there open day a great and fun day!

Very happy with the prompt friendly and professional assistance experienced thus far with Jason, John and Colin as well as Alison in the office. During the dust storms they were quick to get our important bnb guest pool back to crystal clear. We terminated our regular maintainence arrangement we had had with Aloha Pools for 20;years following a range of issues and have been very happy dealing locally instead. Our crystal clear pool is a hit with our guests. Gracias guys Paul and Sheree Villa Mallorca Mt Martha Spain with no plane

Simon is absolutely the best in the industry. Highly professional, full of empathy for his customer and highly organised in his work. His team is friendly and if you ask me, they are the best pool and spa company I have ever dealt with.
I needed new pumps, solar and even tiling for my pool, Simon organised absolutely everything and was unbelievably fair in pricing. No task was difficult for him. Furthermore he cared for me as his customer. Simon has the best customer service that I have ever encountered simply because he cares for his customer and these days this quality is difficult to find.
If you want a one-stop shop solution for your pools, the best In the industry, I promise you, you can't go wrong with this company. Thank you, Simon and team.

Every 1 Star review below is 100% correct, I’ve had people that have worked for this place previously and they left because of there unscrupulous behaviour towards customers, I was ripped off over a pump repair and had a pool service booked at a prescribed time but no show and no call to say they weren’t coming, when I finally got a different shop to service my pool the guy said he used to work for this mob and if there was more money in another job they would drop you like a hot potato, I was also told a-lot of the 5 star reviews are family and friends

You need to understand word of mouth is the best form of advertising, buyers beware!

Ziggy toledo review is just a family member of Simon glasman/Toledo. Tell us Ziggy, what have you purchased from them at full retail which you claim is not overpriced? You can't give me a honest answer because you are a Toleda-glasman. Full of lies and deception.

Im sure Simon appreciates your attemp to make them appear to be judged too harshly by those who have to deal with him for real.

Simon is a god. He is perfect in every way.
If you want a second opinion? Ask him again.
The only reason that shop is still running is Alison. She deserves a better boss.

Another point l just noticed Ziggy Toledo-Glasman decided to do a review saying how horrible other pool shops are when he has "apparently" gone there instead of going to his own family member who OWNS this pool store. This Toledo-Glasman family are just so pathetic.

The most disgusting service given by the owner of the company Simon.
After paying for pool maintenance, Acid bottle was empty. 2nd time. Last time I had to go to Bunnings to buy a replacement as they were totally incompetent in arranging after charging for maintenance.
Rang them to query this second time, I was told they would come out and put a new 20lt bottle.
After ringing them three times and waiting a week, Simon told me they could no longer service my pool.
Simon offers nothing but excuses time after time.
Possibly the best advise for him would be to go and book himself into a business management course and then a customer service course.

Please do not use them. They are only ripping people on the peninsula off, charging copious amounts of money and offering very little in return.

Really Simon. Learn how to respect your customers. They are the key to any business.

We were customers of Mornington Pool & Spa for 6 months, and had three separate bad experiences within this time. Initially, we booked them to services our pool monthly. The first service was great, all went well. We were told at this stage our pool was quite a complicated system (being ultra modern) so they would only ever put their experienced technicians on our pool. We were delighted to hear this. Additionally we have a $30K+ electric cover installed, which they too knew needed care when opening / closing for services. After the first service, a couple of months later, we noticed a blockage in our filter which was causing much stress on our motor. We could hear the motor overworking which prompted us to look in the filter. It was overflowing with leaves & debris. We cleaned it out ourselves immediately & called Mornington Pool & Spa. They said, whoops, we forgot to schedule your monthly services. They hadn't been at our pool for 4 months. As busy working professionals, we trusted that we'd booked an ongoing service, that would be implemented. And it was not. Two months later, after another service, we woke the next morning to find our pool EMPTY and our customised cover in shambles, bending. See photos attached. As soon as we called Mornington Pool & Spa we were told 'sorry' they had allocated their apprentice to our pool. He had made some major errors in our service, caused our pool to empty completely! Causing our cover to bend, and pool motor & heating system to work in overdrive - with NO WATER. They sent an experienced technician out to rectify the problem that day. Yes, they serviced the pool, fixed the overheated motor. And refilled our pool with OUR HOSE WATER. They said they wouldn't charge us for THIS service!? We asked for compensation - we had to refill our pool, re-heat it, have the cover serviced, and had huge concerns about the cover and motor stress that had occurred. The compensation that was offered was one free service and $32 for water, and $50 for electricity. There was also no apology. We were very unhappy with the outcome, will never use this business again, and urge others to ensure they use an experienced serviceman with a great reputation. This could have cost of over $60,000 if our motor blew, or another $30K to replace our cover. Not to mention, we hope that we don't have any ongoing issues due to the stress this all put on our entire pool system. Such a disappointing experience.

I have a very bad experience with Mornington Pool and Spa today.
The issues were:
1. It kept my Visa card details on its system after the work was completed despite my advising it not to for privacy /fraud risk
2. They simply billed various amounts totalling thousands of dollars on my Visacard without providing a quote and getting consent before doing the work. The only quote I agreed to was the change of the filter by their techician, Dennis.
3. I found Dennis appear to know what he was doing. The next thing I heard was that Dennis had left their employment. Stephanie said he made too many mistakes with his work. They had to to send different technicians to finish the work he started.
4. Mornington Pool was charging for the visits without telling me. When I complained, I was then sent the invoices,
5 Instead of listening to my complaint, Stephanie tried to justify them.
This is the last straw. I have stopped giving them my business.
6 I had also informed Visa of their business behaviour.
