Mornington Hotel

On arrival yesterday the staff were very friendly and helpful! Our room is very spacious and comfortable! Dinner in the bistro last night was plentiful and the House Chardonnay was excellent! I will recommend this lovely Hotel to our Family and Friends! We will return in the future! Thankyou Mornington Hotel!

The industry staff shortage is on display here - on the plus side if you dislike people and don’t mind serving up, or even not serving up food at all, then please call them and tell them you will take the job!

My first visit certainly not my last

First I think the staff forgot to mention that we had 90 minutes in the restaurant when we walked in. Second the food came different times my food came after the others had finished eating and within 5 minutes the waiter comes and say you got 10 minutes before you have to get out of here and aunt's desert had not been served when we tried to explain the situation the girl was very straightforward and said we only had 10 minutes and that was not their fault they had to stick to rules because of covid it would have been easier if it was mentioned too when we ordered. The waiter did not receive feedback of the way she said we had 10 mins just saying.our food the food was great just the fish of the day was nice but not big portions if you think of a big fish portion would have rather ordered the kids meal it was bigger than the adults

Went here for dinner with my family, service wasn’t great, good hour+ wait for my tables food. Wasn’t overwhelmed with the food we all got either, overall wasn’t amazing but definitely not the worst.

Most authentic nasi goreng I’ve had in Australia! Absolutely delicious, especially if you love a kick! Will be back for sure the satay sauce was amazing!

Food is lovely. Seniors menu is great! Very reasonably priced and big serve. Recommend the mushroom risotto!

The plates were too small for the toast, but apart from that the bed didn't squeak so all in all it was very nice.

We had Saturday lunch here and was a little disappointed. The service was slow and when we received our meals the Parma was quite burnt and my vegetables were lukewarm. Overall a bit disappointing. Walters family

We had lunch in the bistro yesterday. The service was great, staff were professional and friendly. The food was lovely as well.

The service at check in was excellent and the bistro was a delightful experience. Super quick and great lamb shanks and perfect rump steak. Very spacious room, only bother was the spotlights in the nearby car dealership, which made having curtains open at night unpractical.

The room was large, with a spa. Shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. That's about the best of it. Curtain was falling off its runner, the balcony floor was dirty and the outdoor furniture is rusted and uninspiring.
The included 'light continental breakfast' was limited to 2 slices of white bread and choice of rice bubbles or cornflakes.
For $250 a night, more could be expected from both accommodation and breakfast offered.

Stayed in the family spa suite. Lots of room. Clean and comfortable. Bathroom large with a large Spa bath. Quiet and easy access to dinners in the bistro friendly and very helpful staff Will return.

Argued with rude staff at check in.
TV drops out every 10 seconds, air con doesn't work, bar staff in gaming lounge don't have gaming licence and don't know what their doing. To top it off bistro doesn't like single diners, only large groups.

The food is always good, I had the Civken avocado salad. It is great, however if i could improve it, i would say less greens, and please bring back the nuts, it makes such a difference. Xx The staff are also great. X

My partner and I decided to have a nice dinner at their bistro which absolutely ruined our night. The staff were lovely at the beginning but as soon as they made a mistake they were completely arrogant. My partner ordered our food. When the waitress gave us our food she asked if my meal was corrected and placed both our meals on the table and walked away. My partner ordered a beef burger and receive something that looked like beef. He assumed the waiter that served him misheard him and thought he ordered beef itself. Instead of disturbing them he thought he would continue to eat. 10 minutes passed and as we’re enjoying our meal two waitresses ask us about what we ordered. We were shocked considering they should already know what we ordered. They walked off and what seemed to be a manager confronted us and wouldn’t let us explain. Turns out we were given someone else’s order. We offered to pay the difference as it was a simple mistake but the lady that spoke to us gave as a warning. I am a waitress and I would never talk to a customer the way she talked to us. Just because your staff messed up doesn’t mean it’s the customer’s fault. Definitely would not be coming back.

Extremely dirty & very bad smell in the place no staff wanted to serve got the run around & charged a cleaning fee for the extremely bad smelly room that had spiders and ants everywhere very poor place to stay

Great value stay, the staff here across the property were excellent, the room was better and bigger than expected. Good lunch options in the bistro. Got a free upgrade too which was great. Would stay again.
