Morningswood Farm

I went strawberry picking with my daughter on Saturday and loved the experience. These organic strawberries taste 10 times better than supermarket ones. We dipped half in chocolate and enjoyed the rest fresh.

Enjoyed the experience picking fruit and the fruit was quite flavoursome. The downside to the experience is there are no toilet facilities and upon arrival when I asked for a toilet I was told to "pick a tree" and that "it is a farm not a cafe" (rude and inappropriate) or I could do a 15klm round trip back to Daylesford for a public toilet! I chose the latter purely on principle and respect of other visitors. We had arrived after a 1.5 hr drive from Melbourne. On the website under things to consider there is no mention that there are no toilets at the property. Had we known we would have stopped at Daylesford before arrival. Upon reflection and considering this experience we will not return.

Worth a visit if you are in the area. Their Strawberries are one of the sweetest I had in Melbourne. Very friendly people too!

We went to berry pick the day after 40 ‘C in Melbourne mid January.
Many berries were burnt after hot summer day but we still picked plenty of berries. Friendly owner explained there were 5 different type of berries. We spent around 1 hour picking delicious full of flavoured organic berries.
When we visited, strawberries were almost finished, love to try next time!
No enter fee.
Lots of parking space.
But no toilet

Perhaps not as large as some of the other strawberry farms scattered across Victoria but it had a nice homely feel about it! Dog friendly too!

The owners are so gorgeous and friendly, informative and helpful.
The strawberries We picked were soooooo gooooood, sweet and tasty.
We had fun picking them and even with a toddler picking and carrying a little basket it was easy to do. Taking children there is such a fantastic experience, and they can feed the goats afterwards most times is my understanding.
Go and enjoy yourself, and take friends and family. It is terrific.

We had such a lovely time in the farm. The couple who own the place are so nice and friendly. The farm is also a dog friendly which we loved.

Set amongst lovely rolling hills, Morningswood’s berries are bursting with amazing flavours and varieties! A Surefire testament to owners Pete and Claire’s dedication and love for family, organic farming and their produce. We will be back again for more jam and a visit soon!

The strawberry is soft and sweet slightly sour. I am in love with this place and will definitely coming again and again. Pete was so friendly and I feel welcomed. Guys, you should visit here!?

We had a great time picking large fat and juicy berries. We highly recommend visiting and having a chat with the lovely owners.

Morningswood farm is located outside of Daylesford. The farm guys was really lovely and kind. If you don’t have a basket to carry with you, don’t worry as you can purchase small hand knitted baskets. Available in 3 different sizes. There is no cost for entering the farm or picking the berries but you need to purchase the berries you picked. Each kg is at $20 which is quite reasonable compared to the city prices. Since it’s the season for strawberries and raspberries, we picked strawberries. They are really sweet to eat. The farm also seeks jam, honey and frozen berries that you could take home with you. Loved the experience, worth trying it at least once.

I couldn't wait for Morningswood Farm to open again! They have the most delicious strawberries! This year I was able to get some honey and lip balm as well!
