Moon Dog OG reviews
55 A great, comfortable small brewery with very good craft beers (not only the usual Lagers and pale ales - loved the Crème Brŭlée Stout)
And the staff are really friendly, too.
Casual as heck. Big tables. Craft beer. Pizza van outside.
Returning for Xmas 2023. It's a dogs party, what could be better.
We had our engagement party in the function space next door and it was perfect - the pizzas were delicious, selection of drinks were fantastic, the space looked great with the fairy lights, and staff were very friendly and quick to help. Definitely recommend for anyone else looking to hold a function here!
College bar. Young staff and crowd. Great beer for affordable pricing. Place is situated in a warehouse. Great pub trivia and bingo as well!
The beer wasn't as cold as our group wanted to be and the music was too loud to speak with more than 4 groups of people.
The pizza was really good though!
Great brewery, tasty beers, friendly staff, dog friendly, one of nicest places to hang out in Melbourne
Moondog OG is a consistent good time. A great range of changing bevs and staples, with great pizzas. Bingo on Wednesday nights with JRoc is a must.
Loved visiting your brewery and drinking your beers some years back but recently bought some Old Mate pale ale from my local Dan Murphy’s and to be honest it is way too gassy, open it and most of it ends up wasted.
If you go in winter make sure you don’t get dumped at table at the front door there’s not enough heat to keep your legs warm
Very dissspointed would I return unfortunately no
For a og brewery it is probably more expensive to drink here than to drink their beers at your local. Cool space but alot more could be done to vamp up the atmosphere the staff didn't seem like they wanted to be there and this was a a chore not a cool job which a brewery pub should be. Come in the late arvo to avoid the rush.
Enjoyed some Moon Dog products in other venues and was shocked to find them being sold for TWICE the price from Moon Dog it's self. Not sure what kind of crazy business model they're working, but if you like their stuff, you'll be better off getting it from a bottle shop or your local.
We had our "elopement after party" at Moon Dog and it was the best! The ballroom is the coolest space without the need to decorate. We opted for beer and wine only - they have the best selection, everyone loved it. There is so much space for seating, dancing, eating and photo booths. The staff were amazing, super fun, friendly and a pleasure to work with on our special party. Thanks so much:)
We just had our wedding at the OG oasis ballroom. The venue was superb and the staff were absolutely amazing both in the lead up to the wedding and during the event. We can’t thank them enough for everything they did. Our wedding day was so much fun
Hi.
I recently purchased Moondog blood orange hazy pale. As described on the packaging it should be hazy and have the taste of blood orange.
Hazy pale ale should be hazy and have a creamy milky taste. It should be hoppy as a pale and hopefully some thing that is reminiscent of the advert for blood orange. The spare is Clear not happy at all, not hazy at all and falsely advertised as a hazy blood orange pale. I’m really angry I wasted my money on this because it tastes basically like a flat lager.
I seriously feel when this was brewed you guys thought it’s a little tangy let’s call it blood orange, fair enough but how on earth could you call this a hazy pale? Please look at the photographs. I very carefully by hazy pale or IPA I am very tempted to leave quite condemning feedback on the mt sites.

Pet friendly brewery. They only have pizzas on available but their truffle mackerel pizza was delicious
Moon dog is a deceiving space, it has two large rooms inside with a very eclectic and old school fit out. Very much an op shop vibe cross share house. Staff here are friendly and know their stuff. Beer menu is great and long and they also have good wines and other mixers on offer. Food is done via a pizza can out the front that also has gluten free options and Vegetarian. Pizzas are really good. A great low key hang out
I generally like their beers and love the Abbotsford venue, but I do not recommend using their online store at all.
I placed an order on 20 October and the second box only arrived today (8 November). Delivery was via Aramex, and I understand that COVID has extended delivery times, but it was still nearly 3 weeks for an intrastate consignment.
There was a missing item from my order and some of the beers were substituted with zero communication.
Such a lovely place! Great food and drinks, and the staff were so lovely. They really went above and beyond, and made our afternoon a brilliant one. Thanks so much!
Ordered a Father's Day Bundle pack from Moon Dog, and it ended up missing in transit. Contacted the company and they offered to resend the package to my father. Some of the best service I have ever received and one of the most positive experiences that I have ever had. They have a customer for life.
Great craft beer place, there was so many selection, the place atmosphere was also nice.it can be reach by public transportation.the price is fair. So many interesting flavour.looking forward to come again
