Monti Food and Wine reviews
37The music and ambiance were exceptional, the meal was decent, and the service was outstanding.:)
I travel to Melbourne for work every fortnight and have breakfast here ever single morning. The food is tremendous, the service from Eric and Ella are brilliant. Coffee is exceptional too. A must try is the ‘avocado’, which I add poached eggs too. YUM!
Do yourself a favour and drop by. I know I will be.
Very nice place to have breakfast/brunch. Service was lovely. The food was big servings and delicious.
Have now had lunch here, and wow, it did not disappoint! Food was delicious and presented beautifully!
I love this place. It's my favourite breakfast/brunch place in the area. The food is always great, the staff are friendly and the coffee is delicious. The hotcakes are amazing!
One of the best cafes in Melbourne, always excellent staff, great food and relaxed atmosphere always recommended if in South Melbourne.
This is a gorgeous, cosy cafe with indoor and outdoor seating options. The food and coffee are great, warm friendly service. Team are really accommodating. The fritters and toasted mushroom and cheese toastie are my favourite Lovely breakfast and Brunch venue. Have been many times and will be back again
Great food. Quick and polite service. Lovely staff and relaxed atmosphere.
We had the fritters with salmon, hotcakes and kids slider. All absolutely delicious, beautiful dishes and perfect serving sizes. Coffee was superb. Thanks again!
Have been coming back to this cute cafe multiple times. Highly recommend their toasties - so good!
Sunday. 10 of us had the upstairs room to ourselves. Very narrow old original staircase. Xlnt sobriety test. Attentive staff. Great food. Easy relaxed atmosphere. Great wine list. Good beer selection. We were not pushed out or felt we had to leave. 0verall xlnt cosy crowded cafe with a great cottage vibe. Dogs ok in outside street area. Try it for the vibe.
Stopped by this morning for breakfast with my partner and in-laws, and it was honestly such a beautiful atmosphere and an even better breakfast! I ordered the avocado and it was so good. They didn’t hold back on the avocado and it also came with three pieces of toast! Everyone on the table loved their meals and the highlight of the table was the zucchini fritters
Get your Modoz slash Mediterranean cuisine at @montifoodandwine this Autumn. The emerald umbrellas at the front of the Victorian house gave me Emily in Paris vibes, too bad didn't dress up like her that day.ordered their:
Vegan Ricotta Hot Cakes, with peach compote, desiccated raspberry & pecan parfait *chefs kiss?
Vegan Turkish Baked Eggs, with tomato, green peppers, chilli and garden hertbs.
Slow Roasted Spiced Lamb Shoulder, with green pea hummus, cucumber, toasted caraway & fresh chilli
This is my first visit, but it won't be my last. It's a local favourite for a good reason! You can even host private events upstairs too for that intimate cosy party!
Best part? You can walk it off nearby at South Melbourne Market whilst you get some fresh grocery right after too! Win-win if you ask me!
Great Brekky and fantastic coffee too. They have quite a refined Brekky menu with lovely options including some great premium ingredients (ever felt the need for crab meat with your Brekky, you can get it here!
Really good brunch spot with amazing menu options. Very reasonably priced with great atmosphere. Also great coffee. Highly recommend.
Wow! The food and coffee here was divine!
I was also amazed with how clean this place was.spotless!
I ordered the Baked Eggs which had a really generous serving of sujuk sausage and soft Turkish bread. Overall I enjoyed the dish however i thought it needed more depth of flavour, it was abit bland. Some potential here.
The Chilli Scramble was delicious, I loved the addition of the Zhug (a middle eastern green spicy sauce) which I have never had before. It was also served with a toasted sesame baguette! The corn fritters were also nice and fresh, served with an avocado mousse. I felt they were underseasoned but that didn’t stop us from finishing them all.
Whenever I see Manti on a menu I must order it. Small Turkish dumplings served in a perfectly balanced sauce of burnt butter, Aleppo pepper and fermented garlic yogurt. Heavenly!
This was my second visit to Monti and we were very impressed, especially by the creativity and their massive portion sizes. You definitely don’t have to second guess your value for money here. A reliable brunch in Albert Park.
4.3/5 (Great)
Food was well presented and quite tasty. It was a very cold winter's morning and sat by the door made for a very draughty and mildly annoying experience with people in and out and loitering in the doorway while waiting to be seated. Maybe have a host greeting and seating outside on the foodpath to help minimise this? Nice coffees and very busy, but the staff could manage the demand.
(The loos could use a bit of spucing up.)
Nice location.we sat outside since the weather was quite nice today. Coffee was good. We both ordered the Folded eggs with the crab. It was ok.but the portion.it took quite a bit of time to get our meal ready. Glad finally I had tried this place
Nice spot out of the hubbub of a busy area. Easy parking. Great location. Great Food.
Eat inside or outside. We enjoyed the rear courtyard. (Look at those red autumn leaves.)
You will be excited by the menu!
I had a snitzel sub & chips. You will not easily find anything like this!
Took about an hour to feed the 10 of us.
Great spot for a leisurely lunch for sure.
Great food and great coffee and very friendly staff. I really liked this place as they are Dog friendly too. Will definitely be back.
Amazing food and incredible service. Definitely worth a visit for breakfast, brunch or a tipsy lunch!
. And as a bonus outside is completely dog friendly!
