Monash University Health Services reviews
27Dr Amber Hartley is great! She is extremely friendly and caring and listens to everything you have to say
Dr. Amber Hartley was so helpful - she's kind, knowledgeable and the sweetet GP I know. I cannot recommend her enough, she helped me with my vaccinations easily and gives helpful tips.
Dr Amber Hartley is super professional and a kind person. I was feeling so supportive and safe during the consultation. Thanks for all her patience, kindness and all professional support.
Reception delayed my appointment 30 mins and then when confronted about it lied.
Dr Reza Shirazi complete lack of care. Gave me false information which wasted even more of my time. This man does not care about his patients wellbeing. Wish I could take back the time I wasted seeing him.
Terrible practice, only time they care about is their own.
Reception staff very unprofessional, stood and waited for them to finish having a personal conversation before assisting me along with not being made aware that I’ll be waiting for half an hour for my daughter to see the doctor due to the fact that a patient had booked the wrong appointment, lack of courtesy for me as well
The reception person clearly doesn't know what they are doing.yes maybe they are under a lot of pressure and stress (though when I walk in they seems to work super slowly and chill, but that's fine), but they shouldn't just "oh sorry I don't know about this you need to speak to the doctor" (bro how do I get to speak with the doctor if you don't give me any chance? And it's not even medically related knowledge, I was literally asking about how to make an appointment for my vaccine! What does the doctor need to know about it? Rude and disrespectful!
I talk to doctor on the phone, and he just yell at me all the time. He don't let me talk at all and made me cry. His name Preston, i don't believe i receive abuse from doctor
For telehealth, not to say the phone call was made 20 mins late for my scheduled appointment and even you phone call last only 1 min and 33 seconds and you will be charged for 6 mins or greater, funny that at first the receptionist in Clinic confirmed the call takes 8 mins. I denied because i had call history in my phone, than she changed the excuse to: " it is just an item number, no matter how long you take and it will be charged for long consult (but why) ". I just don't think it make sense, and then she blames on medicare saying it's medicare's fault generating the receipt (blows my mind). In conclusion telehealth in monash clinic is a no go
For Covid time (as of now, Jan 2021)
For those people who need to check in and see doctor face to face, you can check in with a staff before get inside the clinic.
If Covid pass, you can use an app called hot doctor to check in, you do not need to wait for the front desk staff nor speak to them.
You can even see your queue there:)
Had a few appointments with Dr Mark Preston and safe to say I will never be consulting him again for any issues. He is rude, dismissive and does not take his patients' issues seriously. He also seems quite clueless with female health problems as I have left several appointments with no resolution to my problems which could now be left prolonged and worsened because of his incompetency. Going to a doctor should make you feel at ease and reassured but now I am just feeling more stressed and frustrated as a result of my horrible experience with him.
I’m just here to echo all the positive reviews mentioning Dr Campisi. He is so kind and gentle, the best doctor I’ve ever had. Even after switching to study at another campus, I travel to Caulfield to see him. I’m glad so many people are leaving reviews saying kind words about him. He deserves it.
This review is solely based off of my experience with Dr. Mark Preston. I have had three different appointments with him, 1 in person and the others over the phone. He is so disrespectful and rude. Both appointments over the phone left me crying with heavy anxiety and feeling powerless. Every time I try to speak he shuts me down, making me feel like I have zero authority over my own health & body. A doctor should never leave you feeling this way, I am so disappointed.
The receptionist was not helping at all! Not even trying to help. The nurse forgot to make a booking for me, turned out it’s my problem. If you don’t know how bad situation people is in, try to understand instead of speaking over the phone. Don’t even know how she got the job with so bad attitude. Anyway, won’t go there anymore.
Very good. Dr Patrick Campisi is very friendly & professional & not judgemental at all. I feel like I am able to address my health issues to him without feeling any embarrassment at all. I highly recommend!
I came to an appointment with Mark Preston and I highly recommend NOT to book with him. What an unprofessional doctor! Showed up to his first appointment at 9.30 am when the first one was at 9. My appointment was at 9.15 and I didn't get attended until 10 am. Is not only a WASTE OF TIME but also a pointless consultation session as he is not really of much help. I made a complain to the reception lady and she didn't even bothered to apologize. The doctor apologized even less. What a joke! I only came to him because of an emergency. Please stay away from this doctor.
It's the second time it's happening now it's enough.
Today my baby girl went to the doctor. He stays few meters away with never oscultate/ check her.
I don't understand how someone with this qualifications doesn't run basic test temperature/ blood pressure/ check heart beat etc etc.
We went to see the doctor not a wizard having a guess pushing papers around.
It's really sad because the administration staff and or old doctor Patrick Campisi were great.
It's not all about covid. Really annoyed.
It was Mark Preston Wich i DON'T recommend at all.
Overall a very dissapointing experience as a Monash graduate.will never go back again. Visited there on 4th Aug2021, even though I got an appointment, still waited for 30 mins and more, after a less than 10mins consultation, been charged $85. If you are no longer a student, don't go to this place, its absolutely a rip off, there're only 20doctors and 1 nurse left. PS: The girl at the counter said Dr. Campisi went back to New Zealand. I'm gonna miss him.
Dr Mark Preston is very attentive and professional. He always shows his patience and gives advice in detail.
Terribly arrogant staff (except for one). I genuinely feel uncomfortable dealing with the people at the desk. Their passive aggressive tone of voice, the patronizing looks they give me, and the sarcastic/ rhetorical statements they use when I ask questions gives me anxiety. This isn't particualarly helpful when I'm going there to see my psychiatrist.
I have been subject to this treatment every single time I visit. They will have their chitchat and laughs (right infrornt of me) while I'm standing there for 5 minutes waiting to be helped, and the moment they turn to me, I am greeted with a dry and condescending look with as little eye contact as they can manage. I am stood there in a panic trying to see my psychiatrist, staring at their forehead only to be spoken to like a nuisance.
Shame on you.
I do not plan on returning to this campus for my treatment nor do I recommend any student (anyone) with mental health related issues to visit this clinic.
Dr. Patrick Campisi is a great doctor, he is always kind, gentle and caring. Me and my friend always come to see him whenever we have health issues. He always knows what we need and provides us with helpful advices.
