Monash Sport reviews
44Went there for a full court basketball practice. It has easy access and free parking for after hours, clean facilities. Better than outdoor courts
Great place with amazing facilities.
Heavily discounted prices and offers always on.
The place is closely located to Monash residential community and therefore a convenient working out spot for students.
The place alos has a swimming pool, steam, sauna and spa!
Happy Work out!
Really nice facility, will recommend anybody to go there really friendly place, great place to relax or have a run
Car park fine you for parking in apparently legitimate space, without any signage it is reserved. Predatory, revenue grab by greedy Monash
Amazing front desk staff and pool staff with a lot of knowledge and easy to talk to. The gym staff can give you a good or bad experience depending on their day.
Bit small for some sports, bit old and the main courts are down the end with no other entry or exit at that end
This is a great gym. Quite relaxed inside and the trainers are helpful and knowledgeable if you desire assistance.
Very good facility however lack of care for equipment. Don't know if it's a staff or gym user issue but the weights have been left everywhere and theres oil on the gymnastic bars. Speaking as a personal trainer myself I do not believe that it's worth the $800 a year, although where else are students going to go
Coming from Warwick, which offers a range of practically free volunteer-led social sport sessions, this doesn't compare. Monash sport feels like a business. A decent business, but not the ideal a university should strive for, I think.
Not good for martial artists or kick boxers to practice. Beginning of last year it was good and had a place to practice and because of instructors had to open the room time to time they removed the room. They ignore all the member suggestions and comments when they are taking that kind of decision. Gym is good if you just want to do simple fitness exercise or group fitness classes. Not worth for AUD 40 for fortnights if you are a community member. However, if you are a student and want to throw 30 bugs while using waterwise program in the pool this place is ok depend on where you live. Hilarious thing ithat I find is you can ware any short for swimming at pool while shoes are mandatory in the gym even if you train the leg to make it stiffer. Perhaps this may be due to lack of sufficient knowledge for staff members who are managing the gym area.
Good gym spread over two levels, and the PT's are knowledgeable and will work with you at your level. It does tend to get busy during the semester and after 5pm.
Great facilities, with a large gym, pool and lots of fitness classes, as well as court hire and affordable social sport comps + friendly service:)
Very friendly stuffs, you'll get personal assessment and development for setting up your own personal workout plan.
Really loved my experience here. As a non-uni student, they still let me in and let me play with some mates on the basketball courts. The courts themselves are top notch and very high quality aswell as all the other sporting things. I just witnessed such a nice vibe from the place and that was capped off with a nice cafe where I enjoyed my lunch. Also free wifi was an awesome feature which kept me there almost all day!
Very clean sport complex, it’s used to Jumaa prayer every Friday 1: 15 PM.
All the best.
Have one week free trial. Swimming pool available. Fitness centre: Wheelchair access, friendly Monash personal trainers. Variety of sports and clubs at the Sport centre for students and the public.
Clean sports facility great for events however the canteen is sub standard and the staff are just rude. Had to go outside to purchase food and coffee
Recently renovated. Fitness classes are great. Fantastic instructor. Cleanliness of the change rooms could be a bit better but still, a top facility.
Really friend staff. They help set you up with one of their reasonably priced payment plans and a free personally tailored workout regime. Also, they offer a great selection of group sessions. In terms of equipment and facilities, two levels allow for a nice diversity of workouts. For example, olympic lifts, cardio machines, muscular isolation machines, cable, rope and ring training.
I love the facility, the type and frequency of group fitness classes is worth every penny. The gym could be expanded since sometimes you have to wait a while before an equipment is free to use.
