Monash IVF Clayton

I suspect the doctor was physically rough with me while under anaesthetic and one of the nurses was really cruel about my low chances. Zero communication skills and driven by money, I felt like I was just a number. A piece of meat. They announce the number of eggs loudly in front of everyone after collection too which is devastating. The experience left me humiliated, traumatised and unlikely to use the eggs I froze. I don't even want to try anymore. I'm done.

This place is a joke. It has been let after let down with them based on their administrative practices. Think twice before coming here.
They have caused so much heartache due to not being able to run tight practices and made some huge errors.

We were successful, but every couple has different problems to address. We appreciated the unconventional approach our technician took, but you will feel more in control if you are not passive and ask lots of questions. The screening of fertilized eggs was expensive and inconclusive in all our attempts, so didn't seem ready for commercialization.

We attended the Monash Clayton for fertility treatment.
It was the worst experience I ever had.
The nurse explaining the procedure was rude, it was as if she was driving an express train, very fast, rushing and unprofessional. We went there with great expectation, unfortunately we were disappointed as there was no holistic approach and no empathy towards patient's.
Lucky I am a nurse I was able to follow what she was saying, my husband did not understand anything the nurse explained.
Never been there again and I don't recommend at all. Its too disappointing and low standard of care.

We have switched over to Monash ivf from another clinic, and honestly couldn't be happier with the level of care we have received. All staff in every department go the extra mile for you. 10 out of 10. Thank you for making a tough time that much easier! Eva

We had such a positive experience with Monash IVF Clayton.
We were well prepared for each step in the journey and found all the staff and medical professionals to be caring, respectful, and supportive.
Communication with our nurse (Emily) was excellent and no question was too trivial for her. She always returned our phone calls the same day and regularly provided updates on our progress.
Would highly recommend Monash IVF.

Worst experience at monash ivf clinic, Clayton. The receptionist or the nurse who was sitting at monash ivf clinic does not know how to talk with people, she has very bad attitude and look like she is just frustrated from her work. If people does not want to work why they come for work. I am giving one star because there is no option less than that, however I would have given her negative zero star. I have read many reviews about her and I don’t know why they are not changing her from that position. Very disappointing and racism behaviour she had shown towards my husband.

Rude & unprofessional receptionist M. Get extra staff or colleagues & new patient should treat her with respect so she knows how to be calm, professional & respectful towards patients. Everyone has their issue but does not mean being rude to others is acceptable!

Monash IVF Clayton were very supportive and understanding of our needs and dreams to start a family, especially under the stressful conditions that come with going through rounds of IVF.
They were very professional and always provided updates & communication when required.
Our fertility specialist, Dr Sarah Hunt is absolutely beautiful, empathetic and really takes the time to get to know your wants and needs. Along with her nursing team. We are very happy & will use their services in the future if required.

The team at Monash Clayton have been so supportive through all my treatment. The nurses are amazing and are always kind and empathetic. They never make me feel stupid when I call with questions.
I would recommend Monash to everyone.

Really disappointing! - Avoid.

Like most we decided to go with Monash as the name was established. Like others on here I ignored some of the negative reviews thinking they were more associated with people just not being able to conceive.

From the 1st consultation we felt like we were in the dark and had no real oversight as to why was actually happening. I think we saw the actual doctor twice and spoke to him once over the phone. All our dealings were with nurses. The nurses were nice but it was the constant chasing and following up we had to do just to get an idea as to what was going on. There was absolutely no urgency to get things moving.

We did manage to get pregnant once but had an early miscarriage. This is has no bearing on my negative rating as it’s mostly outside of their control.

While pregnant we called to get our blood test results that determine if the pregnancy is going as expected. Disappointingly it was sad news.

This was the last time we ever heard from them. No call from the doctor, nothing. No communication by mail either.

We expected so much more after deciding to go with Monash & pay a premium.

We have since started visiting another clinic and expect to be out of pocket more the 70% less. Just wow!

My sister went to Monash IVF Clayton and their service is so utterly disappointing. Firstly, the nurse Renata is lack of empathy, it is so hard to contact her. For the amount of money my sister paid, all her phonecall to the nurse mostly went to voicemails. Renata never returned her call, sometimes other nurse called my sister back. The worst thing was the day my sister was supposed to get her HCG result after her embryo transplant, her nurse never called her and my sister called the clinic many times to finally get the answer. It was negative. No compassion from the staff, the next thing they did was asking her to sign another consent form and pay for the next bill. Dr. Anthony also didn't discuss any detailed treatment plan unless my sister asked.
IVF team is supposed to be caring and compassionate. This team doesn't provide this kind of support.
Please anyone who read this review, just go to another clinic, save your money, time and yourself from terrible IVF experience.

IVF is difficult with no guarantees, however the staff where extremely friendly, kind and empathetic, a special mention to admin services Perveen and Nekita, Bloods Julie, Ultrasound Georgia and Casey, Slades- Vanessa and off course my wonderful nurses Alex and Catherine.

I am very disappointed, I fail 3 times here, no more try.the doctor was very busy, only a few minutes talking with you.busy busy!
every around, just the strongest medicine and again, again.after fail, no review, no one care this, no one calls me about anything, they don't care about you, I feeling myself just their making money machine.this hospital is famous but doesn't mean it's good.

Monash Clayton is absolutely terrible!
My nurse hasn't once contracted me, I've had no support from her.
Every time I try and contact my nurse it goes to voicemail and then a different nurse will call back when convenient.
The amount of money we pay for IVF treatment you would think they would have more compassion.
Infertility is stressful and no support for the clinic is disgusting.

I did 3 rounds of ivf here and wouldn’t recommend it. Staff are lovely, however each time my round failed they would just do the same thing again. Not change medication, not increase scans, not listen or look for answers. Just do the same thing in hopes of it working. They took so much of my money. Ivf is so emotionally draining and physically taxing. No one told me (until I went elsewhere) that I had a problem with my egg quality which is why the transfers weren’t implanting. I went to Greece and fell pregnant there. Embryoland. Amazing. Do it. Incredible success rates and majority of people there are aussies.

Where do I start. Monash IVF Clayton is a terrible, terrible place to have IVF treatment. I was provided incorrect information by a nurse which led to an etopic pregnancy and having 1 fellopian tube removed but apparently she was just following procedure, well your procedures are incorrect. I have now been lumped with medical bills on top of the expenses of paying for an IVF cycle. Monash IVF Clayton don't even have the decency to pay for my medical bills as they will not admit fault. I have been treated so poorly and will never recommend this disgusting place to anyone as no one dererves to go through what I went through. There are so many more IVF clinics out there that would treat you better and be far cheaper then this dump. If you don't want to loose a part of yourself, be treated like you don't matter and be lumped with additional expenses then don't start a cycle at Monash IVF Clayton or any of the other Monash IVF clinics as you will regret it.

We are extremely pleased with our experience with Monash IVF. We found all staff to be consistently professional and caring. All questions we had at any time were responded to in a timely and considerate manner and we are very thankful for the level of support we received during what can be a stressful time.
