Very terrible experience, won’t come back again that’s for sure.
Can’t believe need to wait an hour for our hotpot, had no idea why hotpot needs to take this long and also no one was even asking us or care about us, truly ruined my mood on Saturday night with my friends

The food is fresh and the meat quality is good, but there are not many types of food, the serving speed is good, the service is good, and the place is big.

The all you can eat was great value and great range of choices. Chill and comfy atmosphere.

Sukiyaki is one of my favorite Japanese cuisines. We ordered the 69.9 all-you-can-eat set, which includes unlimited servings of premium Wagyu beef at a very reasonable price, and it's really delicious.

The ambiance of the restaurant was mostly disrupted by the kitchen staff, as the male employees in the kitchen spoke loudly, and the kitchen's music was also quite loud. However, the female staff in the dining area provided excellent service, speaking gently and showing genuine concern for our dining experience.

I want to share that in my opinion, sukiyaki is best enjoyed with raw eggs, but they charge extra for additional eggs beyond one per person.

In conclusion, it's a pretty tasty restaurant. We went on a weekday night, and it wasn't crowded, but I suggest making a reservation on holidays for a more secure spot. I recommend it to people who love sukiyaki. The staff in here has great service, especially a Taiwanese girl. I forgot her name but she always put smile on and check what customers need. Really helpful staff.

It was good service and friendly staff a year ago but now is just disappointing. Hot hot came over 30min after we ordered. Meantime we only ate all you can eat’s side dishes. Everything is late and we didn’t get any cutlery for the hot pot.
Waste my money. Just Didn’t enjoy here. I wouldn’t go again. I will look for other Shabushabu restaurants. Should be much much faster service and good.

Momo Sukiyaki, a delightful all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant, offers an outstanding dining experience that’s guaranteed to leave an indelible mark on your culinary journey. It’s a treasure trove of the finest sukiyaki dishes that overflow with the heart and soul of traditional Japanese cuisine.

The quality of the ingredients is simply impeccable, creating a symphony of flavours that will dance on your palate with every bite. From the tender and juicy cuts of meat to the beautifully fresh vegetables, each dish is an artfully crafted masterpiece that offers a true feast for the senses.

The restaurant staff deserve high praise for their attentive and friendly service. Their dedication to ensuring a seamless dining experience for all guests is evident, as they’re always on hand to refill your dishes and cater to your needs with a warm smile.

The ambiance of Momo Sukiyaki is equally commendable. It’s a harmonious blend of contemporary and traditional Japanese design elements, creating a welcoming and relaxing environment that allows you to enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace.

While sukiyaki is undoubtedly the star of the show, the restaurant’s other offerings are not to be missed. Their sushi rolls are a blend of creativity and taste, and their sashimi is so fresh, it’s like it was caught just moments before serving.

In short, Momo Sukiyaki is a haven for all lovers of Japanese cuisine. It offers an all-you-can-eat dining experience that goes above and beyond, guaranteeing a memorable culinary journey filled with exquisite flavours, exceptional service, and a charming ambiance. An absolute must-visit!

Terrible experience for a first time dining here. We booked a table of 4 at around 7: 20pm on a saturday. We came early at 7pm and were seated at 7.15pm, waiter is very friendly and attentive. Service was nice but that might be the only thing that's nice about this place.
Food come out very slow. We ordered shabu shabu with beef, pork belly and few other things but by 8.30, we have not received all the dishes yet. The first dish came out about half an hour after order and what's more disappointing is that the pork belly looks pale and smell like it has gone bad. We weren't expecting perfection but given that we ordered just about 5 meat plates, 2 veggies plates, prawn and tofu, the least that we expect is food coming out at the same time given the long wait after ordering. At the end, we were tired and so disappointed that we returned the ox tongue plate (ordered when seated and have not received by 8.40). Adding to the disappointment is that we had to remind staff to bring out what we ordered time to time as we don't know if they forgot or they are just slow.
This is our first time dining here and with this experience, it's certain we won't be coming back.

I'm not one to typically write reviews, but the experience has created an otherwise enjoyable experience into one that has made me upset. In short, we got charged a 15% wastage food surcharge for leaving two servings of beef (8 thin slices per serving), plus one more serving roughly in the pot, so around 3 serves (approximately 300 grams). Let me explain how this happened.

I booked a table for two people at 6: 30 pm. When we got there, we waited 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered all-you-can-eat shabu shabu at around 6: 50 pm. We had to wait until 7: 15 pm before the soup base arrived and another 5-10 minutes before our first order of food as all arrived. Naturally, we were a bit disappointed at the time it took for the food to arrive, considering when we made the online booking, the apparent time limit is 90 minutes and at this point, almost 1 hour has already passed. The time limit wasn't enforced though. We did not say anything about the time it taken, as I'm sure it was due to unforeseeable reasons at this point in time.

After we finished our first order, the waiter came to us and asked if we would like to order more. I kindly asked the waiter; if it would take a while for the food to arrive. He said yes, so we decided to order more so we didn't need to order a third time. So, to the best of our knowledge of our party's eating capacity and from the serving sizes, we ordered what we thought was just enough. However, as stated at the front, by the time our second order of food came, we overestimated by three plates roughly of thinly sliced beef.

Of course, food wastage should be avoided when possible, so I tried to offer other tables nearby if they would like our two plates of leftover beef, which all declined. We then decided to be upfront with the waiter and the manager, who came later, explaining that we accidentally over order three plates. Unfortunately, the manager said there would be a 15% surcharge due to wastage, which was written at the bottom right of the menu. I explained that due to the long wait time due to staff shortage, we order more so we did not have to order a third time, but we overestimated a bit if it would be possible to provide a gesture of goodwill and waive the excess charge.

I also explained that this was our first time here and was not fully aware of the system in place, and while yes, some food was wasted, I asked if they could waive the 15% excess surcharge, but unfortunately, they did not bulge. It was a delicious shabu shabu hot pot, but considering the long wait time to get seated and for food to arrive, I would have been very grateful if the fee wasn't added on. I was raving that, wow, this is a great shabu shabu restaurant and may come back again with more people in the future. While this may be the case still as I still enjoy the food, the 15% surcharge has left a sour taste in my mouth for a while.

One positive, however, was that the manager allowed us to cook the excess meat and takeaway it, so I will give credit for that so in essence, the 15% was charged for 'takeaway'. While I understand profit margins are tight in the restaurant industry and any food wastage adds on an unnecessary cost, because of all the factors I mentioned earlier, I believe they could have given a goodwill gesture, which would have been worth more than the $23.70 extra they charged us. The funny thing is, if I had sat there for 30 minutes or so for the food to digest, I could have forced myself to eat the remaining plates, and no wastage would have occurred, but I wanted to be upfront and be honest and let them know. While I fully respect the restaurant's decision, in the end, I wish they did not charge the fee, and anyone reading this who may be deciding to try this restaurant to consider that they are pretty strict in their food wastage policy and consider being conservative with how much you order.

The All you can eat Menu includes 2 kinds of beef, a bit few. But the soup bases are good. The bottomless drinks include alcohol options, good. It will be better if more beef options are provided. Overall, it's a pleasant dinner experience.

Friendly staffs, food are decent, the wait times for serving food is a bit too long but would still be a good option for hotpot gathering:)

The taste of the food.really nice, but their portions look nothing like the pics you see in the menu so if felt like we only got half the amount of food. Do not go to this restaurant hungry unless you have wads of spare cash.

$69.9 per person all u can eat. Food quality is great (only one good point they have). Slow serving even there is only two tables to serve in whole restaurant, customer service is terrible without explaining anything about the menu (no knowledge of menu either), low choice of menu option, you cannot choose the portion of ur choice, they give you all on the menu on the first round without letting u chose what u like. With the price, is not worth it. Won’t be going back again.

Bad service, had to yell just to get waitress’s attention. Hotpot was mediocre, meat was way too thick. Sashimi was straight out bad. Not recommending this place.

Have dinner with friend three weeks ago

Food was great as this is one of the Japanese sukiyaki in CBD

We strongly recommend Kyoto sukiyaki and spicy miso as a good combination

All of the food was freshly made upon order. We order a jug of cocktail that 2/3 full of ice that make us can't enjoy our drinks

First of all the waiter did not present the menu to us and just leave it on the table. He serve the food and raw meat without intro us that which beef that we order. And yet he serve us extra one more dishes that we don't even like to eat. He also did not serve us the sauce for us to dipping with the hotpot. We stay there two hour, we don't even heard the waiter speak any words to us

Overall was not a bad experience. We enjoy the food but not the services.
