Momentum Cafe

Went there yesterday morning for breakfast, they were short staffed in the kitchen, completely understandable. I asked for my food to be a certain way for health reasons, it was accidently missed but the lovely chef fixed it up for me no stress. Really pleased with the morning.

I went here this morning for breakfast. Hands down the worst customer service and food I have ever experienced. We got the Panini’s, honestly made all of us so unwell whether that be the chicken or cheese, either way it was awful. Secondly, we ordered 3 coffees, got 2 of them efficiently however the other iced latte we NEVER EVEN GOT. Asked the waitress with blonde hair and glasses and she didn’t even bother to check on the status of it even after we had gotten our food, and even after we told her we still had not gotten it all she said was ‘we have a back log of orders’ but didn’t even bother to check after waiting 45 minutes! I then asked for a refund and when doing so the same lady was so rude and didn’t bother to apologise AFTER she told me they forgot my order! By the reviews the owner obviously doesn’t take a no for an answer either when people say anything honest about their experience. Train your staff.

Always great service and food. Nothing is too much trouble. I love they repeat order so it's right every time. They ask how you want stuff done like how many shots of coffee, soft or hard eggs ect

Loved the breakfast burger, bacon was super crispy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great place.

One of the best brekky burgers I’ve come across! It was definitely the sticky chilli jam and house made fresh roll! Topped off with a delicious hash brown and vanilla chai latte

Literally just finished my meal and it was amazing!
Owners are very lovely checking on you and making sure you're ok. Staff are super sweet as well!
I had the iced white chocolate and the big breakfast, I'm so full but it was beautiful!

Staff are super helpful and friendly. The food is delicious and the coffee and smoothies hit the spot.

Today I tried the Southern Fried Chicken Burger and it was melt in your mouth amazing. Finished off with a nice cold passion fruit smoothie.

Look forward to coming back again soon. Only issue will be deciding what to try next

The food was nice and the service was ok.
I would have given this probably a 4 star rating, until I overheard the way the owner was talking to his staff. He was rude and disrespectful, saying things like “you don’t get to talk, you just listen to me! ”. I can’t imagine he has much respect or loyalty from his staff and the moral of the place reflected that.
Treat your staff better.

Maybe the 'manager/owner' should not act like a used car salesman to drum up business. We were just looking at your menu dude.

Great food, great coffee and one of the most well staffed cafes I’ve ever seen. Absolutely perfect

Fantastic choices on their menu. I highly recommend the Calamari with salad that is perfect. Momentum Cafe has also pastries and cakes just to die for. Oh so yummy. Momentum Cafe located in Karingal shopping centre offers a very pleasant atmosphere and friendly service.

After not attending Momentum since the first lockdown started, I can safely say that the quality on the food and drinks has not dropped but only improved.

That being said it is reflected in their prices, which I would say is reasonable but can see why others may find it to be on the steeper side compared to other cafes found at the centre.

I was fully aware that I was paying for Service, Quality and most importantly taste and for that I would be more than happy to return for a treat every so often (highly recommend their pulled pork burger).

Edit - Sadly we had lunch here today and less than impressive. What a difference a change of location made. I had Fish and Chips, the fish was dry and overcooked and tasted like it had been frozen, hubby had the chicken parmagiana which was overcooked to the point of being burned in spots. Salads were dressed with a really oily dressing that was less than appetizing. Highlight of the meal was the chips and coffee, very disappointing indeed.
Delicious breakfast, great coffee! Lovely little coffee shop in a great location, the food was awesome. New staff member being shown how things work but still our food didn't take ages, coffee machine was busy with dine in orders as well as take away. I had the waffles, just delish and highly recommended.

I've been going here for a long time. Amazing food, now even better now that it has been renovated. Spacious and airy. I had a spicy chicken dish, so yummy. The staff are lovely and some were relatively new, but they were trying really hard. Well done to all there, highly recommend this place.

Excellent quality food, diverse menu and friendly staff. One of the best cafes in the area. Strongly recommended!

Staff their are just incredible. So nice and friendly and they actually care about you, the serves and the food. The food their is also amazing! Love it here and will be coming back 1000 times again!

Just been to the Momentum Cafe with my husband. We go quite regularly and never been disappointed.
Today I had the soft shell crab burger, and it was delicious. The best I have had. The burger was served on a dark bun which was cooked on a BBQ I think.
Beautiful taste. I will definitely get it again when I go which we have been going for a few years now.
So if anyone goes there try it you won't be disappointed

We’ve been to this place a few times.this place never fails to amaze us. The service is extremely friendly, home made style food is just what we were looking for.
It’s Difficult to make a choice because all the meals on the menu sound so delicious:)
