MOFO Burgers

The best burgers and fries I've had in Melbourne. The flavor, the texture, the presentation, absolutely everything is spectacular.

Not to mention the atmosphere and customer service from the owner. There is always music at a decent volume and varied, allowing you to talk to your company without having to shout.

The best burgers and fries in all of Melbourne, exquisite taste, excellent ambiance with great music, and top-notch service.

Terrible. Ordered 1 small chips but had to wait 20 minutes. Even worse was the unprofessionalism of the staff. As I approached one of the staff to ask about my order, she sighed and rolled her eyes when she saw me, before I was asking anything. At that moment, I knew I was in for a ride.

The I asked her (mind you, I ignored her previous gesture, and was still asking in a normal way) where my chips was since it had been 20 minutes. Instead, she dismissed my issue, making excuses that they were busy, which I totally understood, it was lunch time.

But then, she did not say sorry a bit, instead was rudely staring back at me, as if I was the one who wronged her for bringing that up. How funny.

I would’ve been okay if it was really busy, but then less than a minute later, an order number after mine was called and it was a large order, which didn’t make any sense, but only showed that they somehow skipped/missed my order.

When my order came, and that same staff was just handing it out my order in a very unapologetic way, kind of shoving the bag and making a mocking gesture to show that I was wrong for raising the issue. It was so funny I wish other people saw her childish demeanor. I’ve never encountered a staff in any restaurant being ‘sassy’ when they were clearly in the wrong. Very unprofessional.

The fries was alright. Did not worth the 20 minutes wait. Or maybe I just already lost the appetite after being treated poorly by that staff.

Maybe train your staff to be more polite to your customers next time.

The staff were incredibly nice. The burger was tasty but small. The seating is horrible. Small seat space on very tall spindly legs with no where to put your feet comfortably. Trying to navigate so many bar stools with skinny metal legs is not very disability friendly. There are lots of spaces to get caught on, unfortunately.

Didn't get the burger but the hsp.

The hsp was filled with 12 hr smoked brisket and fries with sauce. Great flavour, taste and texture.

Pros: great food, good atmosphere.
Price: $$ medium
Cons: it is a little small shop and can get quite busy.

Overall: great place to catch a bite with yourself or friends. Would go again.

Their customer service is bad. It takes too long from the time I order until the food is ready. The packaging is difficult to transport. They are a problem before doing business.

Review just to recommend the mofo5.0 (grilled chicken burger) (personally would go for the double chicken) (value > price). Other burgers tried here: double beef burger (value = price), breakie burger (value < price)

Great burgers, fast and welcoming staff. They even have a Pacman game thingy inside! Overall best burgers I've tried so far, fully recommended.

Forgot our food, disgusting corn with crushed up stale Doritos or ccs I can’t tell. The corn Is colder than brisk dark night mid July in melbourne. Heaving red onion chunks on the below freeze temperature burger, stale cookies. Curry and turmeric flavored Mac and cheese balls no cheese in sight still searching for it? Pickles that look like they just came from the chum bucket. The only good thing about my $78 order is the freshly cracked can of coke. Ah well nothing a frozen pie and a coke can’t fix

I think this place may have been sold or something. The quality and taste was 5 star all the way through the lockdowns. But the last few months the quality has deteriorated.
Chicken in burgers are now dry and overcooked. Slaw in the burger seems to be the bitter cabbage stalks.
Chips have gotten thinner and soggier too.

This is an amazing place but however their chicken burger was not really good, not even good enough to eat but their fries + beef burger was amazing. We had a good time other than that burger which we had to throw it away, no idea if that one was halal old chicken something but we couldn’t eat it, it was so bad.

The environment is good, and they have amazing staff too. They have this small pac-man game too which is fun too

Popped in for dinner with my 8yo daughter and had an enjoyable burger experience. Burgers were excellent with well cooked juicy patties. Chips were just average but still good. Service was helpful and friendly. Definitely will be back.

Try the MOF. 50 something burger with oreo thick shake and loaded fries, you get what you pay for

GREAT EXPERIENCE

I have just visited this cafe for the first time and ordered the Carlton Classic, I was so impressed with the service from the staff! I am lactose intolerant so they made the burger to accommodate my needs, changing the cheese and I had gems with the burger. Unfortunately my eyes are bigger than my stomach. My son had the Double Mofo. Best burgers in the city! Will visit again thank you

Quietly hidden away in a melbourne uni building in Carlton. This burger joint certainly has something interesting to offer.my friend snd i had a Double Mofo burger and pulled pork with crackling burger. The double mofo is which has the wagyu patty is certainly one of the best beef burger I ever had.very juicy and delicious with their mofo special sauce.the bun which is slightly grilled makes the whole burger very flavorsome.must try.

Absolutely magnificent burgers im so happy to find a great burger locally. The Carlton classic is so good I've had it 4 times this week. The polite helpful and friendly service and prompt delivery is also beyond reproach. Great job guys

I ordered the Southern MOFO Burger and it was amazing! I can't wait to come to visit in-store once restrictions ease!

MOFO Burgers in Carlton opened their doors during the pandemic, June 2020, and although there was no dine-in, and there were limitations on service. They still hit the ground running, they had to pay rent so were going to open no matter what the circumstances.

These Mofo's know what they are doing, they also own the neighboring cafe StoveTop and have been in the game for 30+ years. Beef patties are juicy, bacon is crisp and as you can in the pictures, cheese is at a perfect melt.

Amazing burgers and super fast delivery! The Carlton burger was delicious, good quality beef, perfect bun that doesn’t squash down to nothing and fresh salad. Chicken bites were legit as well. Great to have a local burger joint that’s this good. Highly recommended, would smash again.
