Don’t waste your time or money,
Very poor quality alterations, pants were not pressed, shop was closed with no answer from owner

Avoid this place if possible! After having my wedding dress for over a month and being told to come back multiple times, I returned yesterday to find my dress had still not been worked on. I informed the older lady that I want my dress and a full refund so that I can take it elsewhere. She advised that she had no money so I informed her that I would return today to collect my dress and refund. Stupid me should have taken my dress there and then as overnight this so called seamstress has worked on my dress when I specifically stated that she was NOT to touch it. A man (I’m guessing is related to the daughter of the older lady and who happens to own the shop) came down to the shop and took my bank details and handed me my dress. He was very helpful and saddened by my experience and also mentioned to me that they have instructed the older lady to not take cash and to put everything through the eftpos machine. She definitely doesn’t do this and requests cash only from anyone that walks into the shop. The man also mentioned that the older lady is very good at her work but keep reading this post and you’ll learn more. Once I got back to my car, it was then that I noticed works had been carried out on my dress. I marched straight back in and informed the man of this and his face just dropped. I cannot fault his actions or customer service but maybe the business needs to think about moving this older lady on, otherwise their business will not succeed. Moving on, I have found another seamstress who I visited today. She couldn’t believe the works that had been carried out on my dress as they weren’t done correctly to suit that type of dress and also it was carried out on a domestic type sewing machine, rather than an industrial type one required for a dress like mine. The older lady also used the wrong colour thread. Very disappointing to hear this news but I’m just so thankful that my dress can be saved, in which all these repairs and alterations are being completed in a week, for the same price and with a signed contract. Whilst typing this review, I have just received the full refund into my bank account. Lesson learnt - avoid places like this and ensure there are signed contracts.

Just save yourself the stress and disappointment and go elsewhere.
I have always had my clothes tailored here with good results but lately it's not been what it was as confirmed by other recent reviews. I do hope they can get back on top of things but I won't be going back to find out. The owner is polite but just doesn't listen. With all the tailors around, the frustrating experiences you get here are just not worth the results.

Long story, short.
I brought my wedding suit in to be tailored and now I'm left with a shirt that was made too tight, pants that weren't shortened enough and a jacket where the sleeves are still too long, the stitching is unfinished and something makes a tear sound Everytime I put it on. All for $200

Now long story, long.
I brought my wedding suit In and it added so much unnecessary work and stress to the already busy wedding planning. I was told to come and get the suit on a Friday and when I came back the suit wasn't ready. I was told to come back on Saturday. I went back on Saturday and was told to come back Sunday. This continued for 7 days straight. I would often ring and ask if the suit was ready to not waste my time, was told the suit is ready and when I would turn up to collect it was then told it's not ready and to come back tomorrow. I tried explaining to the owner that she can take extra time if she needs to (as long as it's done by the wedding) but just don't tell me it's ready when it's not. Sure enough she would tell me every day that it was finished and then tell me to come back the next day when I came to collect.

Finally today, after being told it was ready for pick up at 4: 30, then told to come back in an hour and then coming back and waiting another 2 hours I ran into two more customers who said their experiences were the same. One girl getting messed around for a whole month for her wedding dress.

Please just save yourselves the hassle and go elsewhere.

Beware; you will be disappointed.

After having in set to be taken in for an event, I was told it would be ready by Thursday. I had been in the store on the previous Saturday, and was extremely clear to both the older lady and the gentleman that work there, I was aware it was a tight turn around but they said they could do it easily.

I tried to call during my lunch break on Thursday, no one answered and I was not called back. On the way to their shop at 4pm on Thursday, I called again and was informed they hadn’t started on them. I’m completely shattered as I now have to try and find somewhere either overnight or attempt to do it myself.

Do NOT bother trying your luck here.

This place is a bit hit and miss depending on staff on.
Sometimes very good other times poor and don't give proper prices or receipts/dockets beforehand.
I've had promises to call when things are ready but never happened. Then had calls to say my items are there but when i went they belong to someone else.

Great service and very friendly. Priced appropriately. I would definitely use mobile alterations express again. 100% satisfied customers.

Very very disappointed. Never ever use this service definitely choose a more professional service. Would give them a -100 if l could. Feel like l was taken advantage of.l had a very special event to attend and took a pleated dress in to be taken up and the split opened up. Had 5 visits for this to be completed BADLY.l was shocked with the first return visit to find out my dress wasn’t even in the shop even though they had organised a date for me to pick it up and completed and paid up front. Then a couple of visits later to see the result was an absolute disaster and the dress ruined and that was only the hem that was so uneven at the bottom. Hadn’t even opened up the split and then was told that it was difficult material. Then to have the split opened up and it not to be at all straight and the lining showing. Nothing was said at the first fitting about it being difficult or l would have taken it somewhere else.l asked for money back for the dress that they completely ruined but was only offered a new dress that they would be taken up from the waist not the hem line that l was told how they were going to do it in the first place and clearly didn’t but only if l took it back to them to have altered. There was no way l was going to trust them with it to absolutely ruin another $200 dress plus alterations.l wasn’t even offered the return of the alterations that would of been the decent thing to do. They have left me with no other choice than contact consumer affairs!

If I could give 6 stars I would, outstanding Service, quick, highly professional, friendly

I went there for my daughter's school dress, very warm welcome, Naree and his mum were great. Naree even dropped the dresses at my place, so kind of him. The mum did a great job with the dresses.

I had the most amazing experiance this morning. Honestly there is nothing this amazing women cannot do. I was in a rush to get a gown altered last minute, same day alteration! And she let me in with open arms and she got my dress done in a flash of an eye I didnt have to go home and come back and not just that, the alteration was 1st class professionally done. I could not recommend this women, her presence her service any more than I am saying now. She is super women and I left her store so happy and the fact the wonderful lady and man played with my child the whole time. Only women I trust with my stuff and my children in fact! Highly recommend Mobile Alteration Express! Naree is extremely talented and her team worked so hard to help me with my wedding dress. I had to purchase a new dress 5 days out from my wedding and spoke to a long list of tailors. I decided to go with Naree because they're a family run business and were committed to working into the nights of required. Within 3.5 days my dress was shortened, bust fixed, tulle removed, tulle replaced. Best part was they kept me up to date with progress photos and delivered the dress to me because of the short time frame which removed alot of time pressure for me to focus on other wedding tasks. Thank you MAE.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. My daughter needed urgent wedding dress alterations two days out from her wedding. The dress was ready as promised and looked beautiful. The staff were lovely. Thank you so much.
