MKS Spices'n Things reviews
54 I go to store because of variety but if you are North Indian not a recommended store. They are bought by Pattu brand.
Hope the owner reads that chillies are not required in cooked food. Pl reduce chillies by half in cooked food. Kids refuse to eat your stuff.
Changed my mind on the rating when I got served today. The person who served me my parcel of string hoppers today was gentle and kind. Thank you. But I saw people jumping the queue- still not a good arrangement
What a terrible arrangement to buy food. To see what is available to purchase for hot food you have to push or brush past a queue. Then you have to go past the queue again. Guys change this arrangement. I didn't buy anything because I knew it takes ages to buy something anyway
Love having this as a local place to get my spices and, most of all their hot food.
Their goat curry and fish pan rolls are my favorite.
Very nice food. Curry boxes very handy for a quick meal- heat & serve with some cooked rice, pappadoms pickle etc.
ALL THE FILTHY ILLEGAL MIGRANTS ARE WORKING THERE, THEY HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THE IMMIGRATION. THE DIRTY STINKY GREEDY MIGRANT OWNER IS EXPLOITING HIS STAFF. HE IS LOW LIFE CON AND A DISGRACE TO THE SOCIETY. HE IS ALSO PRICE GOUGING, THIS CROOKED DECEIVING CONMAN SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF. RUN WHILE YOU CAN
Please train your staff to smile and be polite.
I was served by a young arrogant rude woman who looked like she did not want to serve me.just pathetic!
I got two rice and curry packs. The quantity is very very low. They are using a different container for takeaways. Two third of what we used to get. My advice is do not buy any cooked foods. I will never buy it again. Short eats are horrible. So so expensive. I stopped buying it. No more. Please everybody do not buy.
Not quite sure why there are negative reviews because people seem to be voting with their feet - the times I have been there, the queue of people waiting to be served was at least 30 people deep. And the take-away food I have eaten was always a large serving that tasted great. If you’re in the area try it and decide for yourself!
I bought a goat biriyani. On the display there were a lot of meat that they show, but when the lady was serving me she made sure to remove goat pieces purposefully. The biriyani had just 3 small pieces of bones.
Not woth for money and poor customer service. Used to be good but not gone to zero.
These guys never answer the calls. This is not the first time. If you can’t answer the phone there’s no point of keeping it. Throw it away.
Worst experience ever - I bought 2 pack of 20kg (Lal Qilla elite Durbar) basmati rice, but it was worthless all the rice were broken into small pieces and tasteless. Never visiting again.
Bought ‘Ladoos’ from the store today and they turned out to be bad. There was fungus on the ladoos while the date of expiry was till 6th Oct. Considering that you’re selling food products, checking the quality of the products being sold should be a priority. This is highly unacceptable & concerning as consuming such products can lead to health problems.
Disappointed - asked my friend to get me some chicken biriyani today. Came home to open a box of rice with no chicken. Terrible and not going back here again.
We normally buy stiff from the shop but today we had a really horrible experience. We bought in all 4 grocery items out of which 2 had incorrect pricing when scanned on talking to the staff, they saw the incorrect tags on the shelves only to take then off saying they were incorrect tags. The guy who checked the tag was really rude about his mistake no apologies and did not honour the price. Make sure to check your receipts when you buy anything from this store. The lady at the counter was really rude about the whole transaction as well. Not great service.thumbs down.
Poor customer service. Impatient servers at the food checkout. Price of hot food not labelled and the servers rush you to finish the payment.
The Manager was a Friendly, reasonable guy.
But the staff Yogesh was the most unfriendly rude employee i have ever seen.
He acts like he owns the place and customers work for him.
Called to ask whether they have some new year sweets, was very rude about it and declined the call while I was still on the line.
The quality of the food has def gone down. The portion has become much smaller. But customer service remains the same.
The best Sri Lankan takeaway food and groceries on the inner east side. MKS never disappoints! I would love more mild options for the curries though. My stomach can no longer handle too much heat, after acclimatizing to living in Australia. I suspect there are many other Sri Lankan migrants who have the same issue. The spice levels would be through the roof for most born-and-bred Australians. Would love to see more mild potato curries, jackfruit curries and capsicum curries on the menu:)
Staff are incredibly rude. Who do they think they are? I should say the food is great and groceries. I just don't get why so rude.
