Really terrible food that's left me hungry, but not for more. Genuinely feel robbed considering the price.: (

I dont understand where all the good reviews are coming from, you guys must have lots of friends cos this place is overpriced, the food is average and the customer service is terrible! Young unprofessional girls and a dude that thinks he owns the world. The attitude is seriously disgusting!

Invited to this great eatery by friends. We live well outside the area. This place brings back memories of southern California and New Orleans. Some of the best flavours you will ever experience. The brisket quesadilla is on another level and proper street style tacos. None of this processed hard shell stuff. Cant wait to come back and try the rest if the menu.keep it up team.

Ordered this online and my disappointment is immeasurable.

Let me preface that I understand the complications the hospitality industry has faced these last two years and that ordering food via apps can affect the quality.

But considering I paid $70+ each for 3 different meals, I would expect them to at least fill me up. Here I am, still feeling hungry. Not only were the portion sizes small but the burrito bowl contained roughly 4-5 small pieces of capsicum and maybe 5-6 beans IN TOTAL!

The taste was probably average at best.

There’s nothing wrong with tex mex flavours but you at least expect to be full afterwards. This was one of the memorable experiences I had on UberEats and for all the wrong reasons. I hope the owner sees this review and doesn’t take it the wrong way, I’m only providing it so that future customers know what to expect and hopefully inspire some change towards larger, fuller, tastier serving sizes.

Surprisingly good. Found this place by coincidence since the restaurant we use to go was closed that day. What a beautiful surprise!

The ambience, the food, the cocktails the service, everything was worth it. Love it! Will be back for sure

Randomly stumbled upon this restaurant and what a lovely surprise! The food and ambiance were great. Service was amazing- the staff were attentive and friendly. Best margaritas I've had in a long time.
Will definitely be back again!

As a massive fan of Mexican food my partner and I discovered this cosy comfortable little hideout on our way back from a weekend in the city. We are from Rosebud and decided to have another date night making sure to drive an hour just to go eat at our new favourite Mexican restuarant. I highly recommend to anyone who loves mexican. The food quality, flavour, presentation is as authentic as you can get in Australia. Thank you for having us we always feel welcome.

Nice ambience and delicious food. Prices very bit high compared to food quantity but the food was tasty. Hot wings were crispy and quesadilla was amazing.

Ordered and paid for dinner at 5pm for delivery at 6pm. Turned up at 6: 50pm.stoned cold! Not impressed, won’t ever order again

We had the "feed me" and we had to tell them to stop bringing out food, it was all so good though. The pork taco is amazing, fresh made taco.

We had the black chicken wings which were awesome as well. Really relaxing place, nothing was a bother, drinks were great too.

We had ordered delivery before which was great but so glad they are own again as it was even better dining in

Simply outstanding mexican food. Got a lockdown pack and blown away by generous servings and the taste is unbelievable. So happy we finally have a great mexican restaurant in bayside area. Will be regularly ordering. Wowee!

Pulled pork tacos wif pineapple were grouse, coupla jalapeno poppers too. Cowey would love the pineapple

Good location, good food. Did feel a bit rushed by the young ladies staffed that evening for a multitude of reasons including bringing our mains when we were half way through our entree. Will try again but hope to not feel like we're being pushed out the door next time

Great food and atmosphere for a small venue. Unexpected in the back streets of Chelsea. Killer cocktails and flavours. Worth a visit. The owner is lovely, cares about customer happiness and deserves lots of business:) Exactly what you want to find in a small place. Hope this place stays on for a long time.

What can i say.yummmmm.enchiladas were delish! I always struggle a bit because I am vegetarian but mjs got you covered my herbivore friends! Only comment.could do with music to zhuzh up the vibe a bit.

Went for the well talked about Tuesday Taco’s on previous reviews. While the food was really good it took a long time to get there -we waited 30+mins for nachos that we’d expected to enjoy with our drinks. I also had to go up to the bar to order another drink after sitting with an empty glass for 20mins while the two staff sat behind the bar on their phones. I was then told I couldn’t have a margarita as they had run out of lime juice. While these things happen, my wife had been there previously and they had run out of coronas that night. Surely a Mexican restaurant shouldn’t run out of lime or coronas! I could understand if it was busy but there were only 2 other tables there and it is less than 150meters from a major supermarket and wouldn’t be hard to duck out to get something as simple as lime juice instead of scrolling on phones.
While this place has fantastic potential I will not be raving about it or returning anytime soon.

What a great surprise! We are always on the lookout for new good Mexican restaurants as they're few & far between in Australia. MJ's has super tasty food and is very cute. The nachos were some of the best we've had in years and the enchiladas were also great. Our daughter loved the kids chicken & avo taco

Friendly staff, great cocktails and fantastic menu! I highly recommend the hot wings and the nachos with brisket on top!

What a great meal in a cool little restaurant with excellent skull theming. The meal was amazing, and we found ourselves wanting to order everything on the menu. Ask to go upstairs for an even cosier meal and much more comfortable seating. Highly recommended.
