I like the brand because I got relatively long upper body and the suit fits me well. About this shop, the girl there was really patient and recommended some good ones. Will return when in city next time.

Tom is an absolute legend and a rare help to customers, compared to employees at other retail stores. Incredibly helpful and I genuinely left the store knowing more about suiting and what is best for me. Really appreciate it & highly recommend coming here!

The sales team was very patient, and their advice was spot on. They have limited new edition collection and lot of collection on sale. Something for everyone will be there.

Nice shop with a great, as-expected selection range, as usual.
However, we visited last Sunday afternoon and we experienced horrible customer service by the working female employee. Upon entering the store, she bombarded us with interrogation-like questions which felt like she was belittling us. She would repeatedly ask the same questions immediately after the previous ones to which we would politely refuse and decline her many offers of helping us choose the correct size (we had already told her we were experienced in their products).
She then proceeded to leave us be to actually look over the clothes after a few minutes and went to other groups of customers to which they also appeared uncomfortable with her endless questioning. After the other groups were preoccupied, she came back to us to ask us the same questions again, but this time we were in phone calls and she was interrupting us. What made our experience worse was the fact that she ignored our situation and kept talking over us, as if we weren't answering her because we didn't notice her.
In contrast, the male employee working there on the day was insightful and polite. He clearly has better customer service skills, and we definitely recommend speaking to him at the store. He helpfully recommended a white shirt to try under the chosen suit just to accentuate the look, opposed to a t-shirt, a section/service which we hadn't known existed in this particular store.
Although, as we were leaving the store after our purchase, we could hear and see the same female employee yelling at him and telling him what he did was wrong in a very rude way (provided a bag for a purchased casual khaki jacket (not blazer), instead of a suit bag which she said was the correct way of packaging all items over $100).

They left a needle in a shirt and caused my fingers to bleed. The staff just took the needle off and treat as if nothing happened!

Was provided with excellent customer service by Ben from this store. The suit i wanted (to match other groomsmen at a friends wedding) was only in stock in a store in QLD. Ben diligently ordered it in for me and kept me in the loop via phone. When it arrived, it wasn't what i expected and did not quite match the other groomsmen's suits so i did not buy it. More importantly, i was not made to feel obligated to purchase the suit, given that it had been ordered in specially for me.
A fantastic example of how customer service should be.thanks Ben.

Worst customer experience ever. Multiple people in shop and wanting to try things on. Both Staff stood behind desk, didn’t say a word and just talked amongst each other

Melbourne South Wharf MJ Bale store.

I entered the store and was greeted by Jesus who helped me getting the shirts from the racks. Jesus also showed true commitment in improving the store and asked for feedback when I couldn't find the right size clothing from the pile.
Later, when finalizing the purchase, Jesus asked me whether I would like to opt in to receive emails for promotions and mentioned that I would receive welcome gift from the store.

I opted in, but there was a glitch in the system as my details could not be saved. As a result, I would not receive the welcome gift, which I wanted to use straight away for my next transaction. Jesus honored the words of the brand MJ Bale by offering me the welcome gift discount on the next transaction.
Thanks M J Bale, for empowering your employees, who are committed to provide excellent customer service as well as maintaining the brand name.
Although the welcome gift was just nominal, but the whole experience was very good. Definitely will come back for shopping at this store.

I like MJ Bale, however the chap that was working on the 6th May was useless. Asked about different sizes however he was more interested in his phone than helping customers.
