Best Vet in Melbourne. Very kind with pets and so professional. Although I live very far away, I always take my baby girl to Hootan cause I believe he is the best.

Mitcham Pet Hospital has been the best experience we have ever had. An enormous thank you to Dr Hootan and his amazing team, especially Jess, for the support they showed our Chanel. Best place I’ve ever been. I had number of cats and been in different places but none of them were as caring and trustworthy as Dr Hooton and his team. And they were very understanding and flexible with me every time I reached them.

My experience here was great. Very friendly and understanding staff who fitted Jagger in same day as he was feeling very unwell. They were patient with me and him as we were both anxious and hearing later that they wrapped him in a blanket and cuddled him after having an anaesthetic really meant a lot to me. Jagger isn't too friendly when he is scared but they understood and he was fine once reunited with me. Thank you all, i am so grateful. Jagger is recovering with lots of love at home now.

Dr Hootan is such an excellent vet with vast experience, he is caring, takes his time to explain, always has a wonderful smile and has that special touch with my dog as he would with any animals, his team is friendly and professional, me and my dog have such wonderful experience, Dr Hootan safe my dog twice and I thank him from the bottom of my heart

Hootan is the best ever. We take our 2yo Burmese cat Gavin here and he shows him so much love and care. Our cat feels so calm around him which is always a bonus. Can't recommend more highly.

Super friendly and extremely accommodating! Given urgent appointment same day as my pup’s cheek got infected! Dr Hootan was great with pup. Our experience with the Mitcham Pet hospital has been so wonderful. Our big stray tabby is always getting into trouble and Dr Kate and Dr Hootan has been the most kind and knowledgeable Vets. Very fair pricing and a team that genuinely cares about animals, we could not recommend Mitcham Pet Hospital enough.

My review in so long overdue, one I have thought of writing at least once a week for at least a year. Hootan is the only vet I will ever go to, wherever he is! He has such an affinity with animals it’s uncanny. I met him many years ago when one of my dogs was so ill and at the time he was involved with an organisation that would have vets on call to visit your home. He came and put my Pippi to sleep while I held her in my arms. He is the most kindest, compassionate vet/person I have known. I write this now as before I call to make an appointment as my other fur baby needs him!

I recently moved to the area and was nervous taking my 13.5 year old dog to a new vet, considering how comfortable we both are with our old vet. However, I am pleased to report that Dr. Hootan was wonderful, knowledgeable and professional. Also very happy that my search for a new vet hit the jackpot on the first try!

Dr Hootan has been looking after our Oscar (Pekingese) for 7 years and Bella Boxer for 5 years.
His knowledge on different breeds is first class, he is so polite and nothing is a problem for him.
